  1. Can we change the subject? Do I have to ask?
  2. Breakfast Club has 18 minutes to go but the turnout today has been very good. See if you can spot the Forum Pets....... and the Forum Celebrities......... PS....pic 1 is SL viewer, pic 2 is Firestorm. Both point and click
  3. Getting back to the autohide thing...... I don't mind autohide, but what really gets me are those clothes which when you take off leave the alpha. If they autohide they should autorestore, and not all my stuff does that. Fortunately the Lara hud is amazing now I understand it.
  4. We need more Randos by the sound of this haha!
  5. Did somebody say clubbing? Now you're talking.......
  6. I still don't really get it! Whoooosh!.....as it goes right over my head......
  7. Oh!..... so the naked guy I was dancing with yesterday was trying to stay warm ? Huh? He didn't say...........
  8. If I understood any of that I might try to comply. Unless it was a direction in which case I would resist and probably do the opposite. Rebellion is in my blood. It's got me through so far......
  9. Being called a Forum Pet when obviously I'm a Forum Angel. So there. Suck it up.
  10. I sent Salty out to the "Just Because" store today with my credit card and she lost control........... Anyways....here she is at Lutz doing her best to be a Forum Pet.............see the thread Take a Word.Leave a Word to get the joke.......... 11. Playing on (It's the least we Forum Pets can do!) 🙄👾
  12. Welcome Eva, to the assembled group of forum photo addicts!!!
  13. This really is a minefield, and is very hard to even get started. In RL I'm involved in something best described as 'niche interest' which has practical/do it yourself components, and I'm very active on the main forum for this interest. Over time I was being asked if I would ever compile my forum hints and tips into a book. I resisted for ages for the obvious reasons, but in January '17, I decided to give it a go, knowing nothing about publishing. I figured that if it came out well I would self publish on the internet. So I drafted out a layout, which ran to around 15 chapters at the start, and began. When I got to the end of chapter 2, I contacted a publisher who had done previous books about my subject. They were interested, but I felt they were lukewarm. As it happens I have an old friend who has successfully had published several books on a different subject, so I dropped him an e-mail, just asking how it all worked. After we'd talked it over he contacted his commissioning editor at his publisher and they were interested. I contacted them, we had discussions and away it went. I was lucky inasmuch as most of the narrative was already written or in my head. I had a vast archive of images covering all the practical stuff I needed. So I was in a good position to make it happen. But then you get a contract to sign and a deadline, and a content schedule...so number of words, number of illustrations, and the publisher's corporate style. This is a couple of pages stating how certain things must be written. Numbers for example, and measurements and so on. I agreed on a six month deadline, which in the end was a bit tight. I used two expert proof readers, so the text was fine. The images were more problematical. I needed 250 in total. I didn't have the necessary images for about 25, so I had to go out on the forum to get these. Towards the end, a similar number of images didn't meet the strict quality required so I had to re-shoot them all, which was a pain in the butt for some, which had to be specially set up. So yeah, it actually worked out well, but without the help from my friend it wouldn't have been so easy. I keep thinking about writing another about my family history, which is quite unusual, but I know it will be a huge task, and it may not sell, so for now that's just a spark on hold. I also write a monthly magazine column on the same subject as my book, and that's been going for 103 months!! That keeps me busy, because the month end comes round and round............ In fact I need to get on with that today.
  14. We've had just below freezing all day and a light dusting of snow. NE UK. So I stayed in and had more SL time!
  15. So today, because I've had a day inside due to severe weather outside in RL, I've spent time with Salty taking photos and out dancing. We've had a lovely day and it's nice to have a sister in tow who never argues!!!!!!!! My final two images today are from Etosha, in 'that dress', and Franks Jazz Club. We've had no hits from guys all day!!
  16. Popped over to Vihnmakass's place yesterday for a look round, after she invited us along. Didn't see her but had a swing!!!!!! Lovely place you have there! 🙄
  17. Later we dropped in at Zennessa's studio in Charleston Heights where there are loads of backdrops, and a pose stand and much more besides. 'We' really appreciate Zennessa's generousity in making this available............... Again it took ages to get these shots. I spent a long time talking to myself! haha!
  18. I took Salty over to Splaggia Tromonto, which was recommended on the forum. It's a lovely peaceful sim which has been improved since I was last there. However the sun lounge I was looking for has vanished!!! Anyways, it takes quite a bit of effort to set up photos of us both, but here we go............... This is a stone garden seat with plenty of functions!!! I set the environment to night as it gives a warmer feel. The second one is with an additional light.
