  1. But even then, the creators are confined to a certain texture quality. So you won't see 4K textures at all, and one creator told me they had to find a work around, by layering, to achieve this within that constraint. Which does take a huge hit on your GPU, because you have to load in these hefty textures. Whereas other games, you don't have those constraints and rendering is so much better. So to say that the graphics are Highly Realistic, is rather false. There are mods in Skyrim and Fallout 4, with better texture and model quality.
  2. When exactly was this article written? There are or were probably other "virtual worlds" games. That have much more advanced and more sophisticated graphics systems, than SL.
  3. Highly Realistic Graphics? In what world does SL have Highly Realistic Graphics? It literally looks like a game from like the early 2000s. And it still does. Even if you put your windlights at ultimate, it's not as good graphics wise, of other games today. See that is what I don't get, they praise SL for having Highly Realistic Graphics, but clearly they have low standards to what good graphics are.
  4. I am not harming SL at all, and just cause someone labels SL as a game. Does not mean that they don't care about it. It just means that they just label it differently. There are still tonnes of people logging into, or joining SL. LL has not really lost any money, so I would say that SL is doing pretty well. And as I said before, SL is more akin to an MMO. With a very indepth sandbox aspect to it.
  5. Yep, it's totally my fault for telling them what I think it is, but at the same time giving them the opportunity to form their own opinion on what they think it is. Wanna know something, people have a mind of their own, and can think for themselves. So basically saying that I am bringing them to SL under false pretenses is absolutely false. I am not bringing them here, I am not forcing them to get on. They chose to log on, and if they chose to log on than what they think is up to them. I really can't bring anyone anywhere, without them first wanting to come to where i want to bring them.
  6. Again, as I said before. It shouldn't matter what someone calls it, you have what you feel it's best to be called. I have what i feel it's best to be called. Let's leave it at that. Please stop saying your way is right, while mine is wrong. Jeez, I look at it as a Sandbox Game, end of story. You can look at it as a Virtual World, that is fine. Again please stop invalidating how others think.
  7. But at the same time, there are tonnes of games that are in early access that lack any sort of that. Yet we still call it a game. I don't see how it is wrong for others to label it as they want, i don't know why you need to sit there and correct people. You don't see me correcting you, saying you're statement is invalid.
  8. To be quite frank, its pretty much a Sandbox game. Kinda like Minecraft, or the plethora of other games of that same nature on Steam. I don't get why people have a problem with others it's not wrong for them to say that, just like it's not wrong for you to say it's not a game. And you do realize, that most games are virtual worlds of some sorts. And MMOs are literally Online Virtual worlds. That and you can do the exact same thing in SL, like in other games. The user created content, is just basically mods. You are literally adding something new to the game. That and we are technically called players. We play Second Life. That is not to say that you are wrong for how you think. But please don't sit there and correct others on how they think. It drives me up the wall. Someone says something like SL is a game. Other party says, it's not you are wrong. You are insert whatever label you feel like it, you need to be educated. The other person, goes and gives very good arguments as to why they think it's that. And you still without missing a beat, tell them they are wrong and that how they think is rude and hurts the other player base. Like they aren't saying it to offend people, that is how they look at SL. And before you go well there are real people behind these avatars. Same goes for many online games, there are real people behind those avatars. Who make friends, create bonds, find love. I literally heard of a wedding in GTA Online.
  9. I'm just waiting for the nasty comments in forums, once they realize that this was a complete mistake. Like we all know there are gonna be people, who are gonna get so excited. Thinking they are verified, without showing any ID. Then come the day that they see it gone, they will lose their heads, and basically you are gonna see a bunch of Forum Threads talking about that.
  10. If I were to write a review. This is how mine would go. I truly love your products, the current product I just bought looks great. However, there are some minor discrepancies in it. Then I would explain what each problem was. Than add some other nice things, and then end it with my name.
  11. That and they have more themes underworks. On top of that they are making these custom, not cookie cutter like the last Linden homes. So that takes much longer, especially with terraforming land, and placing in exterior decor. They probably won't be close to done it all by the end of this year. But I would rather wait until they are finished, and see what choices I have by then, than to be impatient demanding a new home right now.
  12. But also expecting them to make items properly is what we want. That is what reviews are for, to post constructive feedback. It's just like Yelp reviews, and Rotten Tomatoes. People review something, and give their honest feedback. We are not trying to embarrass them, just trying to tell them how to improve themselves. You can't expect a person to improve, unless you let them know what they need to improve. I am sorry, insensitive or not. There is a thing called customer service, and people will have criticism and reviews. Which must be handled professionally. Not having their 1000s of minions attacking you, cause they are literally kissing ass of the creator. So not really giving her or him any feedback, so they think that they can improve. It's not called expecting imperfect humans to be perfect, its called expecting a bit of better quality from the creator. Trust me, it annoys me to all hell when they build something and the textures are off, and the rigging is off. Especially when they have been around for a while and been doing it for a while, you kinda expect them to know by now how to do certain things. The biggest difference here, is I expect quality not perfection. I am not telling to go back to the drawing board, and redo it from scratch. I am expecting them to fix their mistakes to give me and many other customers quality items. I don't pay 250L for crap textures or rigging. I pay 250L, expecting a degree of quality.
  13. I love when people try to give some constructive feedback, and you see some of the reviews are honest and actually give them good feedback and suggestions on how to fix the errors they noticed. Then that person is getting attacked, as apparently nowadays, one must kiss a creators buttocks. If not, the rain of a thousand angry die hard fans will rain upon thee.
  14. I absolutely refuse to buy an item if they have no demo. I am not taking a gamble, that this item will be rigged well, textured well, and even made well. This is why I like seeing demos, it gives you a chance to determine if A you like it or B does it look good in world and is it rigged well.
  15. I bought the Genus head during second round of beta. It was 3500L. But you really can't compare body prices to head prices. The point is, on average bodies go for anywhere around 2500L. So why pay 2500L more, and have less items than say the bodies that have been around longer, and have way more support in the way of creators? That is just beyond me. A lot of people said the deformers were a big selling point for the body, or that the body was the best on the market for shape and skin. Which calling something the best is very subjective. What one may think as the best, the others may not and vice versa. It's just like people who argue that Catwa is the best head on the market. Again that is subjective. But back to what I was saying. For it's cost, and the whole experience that is right in your face and on your screen. Which is gaudy, mind you. It's not worth the price to buy a new body, that is double that of what the rest of the bodies go for.
  16. Because most people would like to try before they buy. Especially since some creator use DAZ3D and we don't know how it looks or it is rigged in SL. I am sorry, I am not paying 250L, for a poorly rigged and poorly textured item. Not taking that gamble. For me it has nothing to do with reviews, it has everything to do with will it look good on me, was it rigged well, and did they do a great job on texturing. I like demos actually, I will never buy an item if they don't have a demo.
  17. Final one for the day, when Creators use 3rd Party Software like Daz 3D to create ad photos. Look I would like to see this item in world, not using a 3rd party app to create the ad. You don't see actual fashion magazines, or catalogues using programs like that. Especially when it comes to showing off clothes, it's fine they use PS. But it's usually used to add lighting, get rid of glares and artifacts. You literally see the clothes in the real world, in a premade scene.
  18. Off the topic of Gachas. When skin creators airbrush the crap out of their ad photos, so the skin looks nothing like what it does in the ad. Thank god they allow for demoing, but still. There is no need to airbrush in things, that weren't initially on the actual skin. Talk about false advertising.
  19. This is back to the Gacha topic, my biggest thing is. I get that the market is huge for people gambling and chipping away at their money. But what irritates me, is that why do we who don't like Gachas. Not have a choice to either pull or play. I know a few stores and events do it, but I would like to see a lot more stores and events do it.
  20. With the way SL is with computers, you will be waiting a while for them to have a fully 3D reliable client on mobile phone.
  21. Or where the objects in the Gacha are much nicer and better quality, than their mass produced items. Drives me up the wall. Why can't you put that same attention to detail, in your regular items, like you do into your Gachas?
  22. Speaking of which, from a bloggers perspective. When you go to blog something, and either the LM isn't in the folder, or they have an outdated LM. And it takes you about an hour and a half to find the place. Please creators, update your LMs. There has been many times, where I have been to places that well left little for the imagination.
  23. Oh my god, it drives me insane with bloggers. Like there is one, that only posts his sponsors. I don't mind asking, but it's your job to credit everything you are wearing.
  24. Okay, another one of my pet peeves. It's when shape designers charge so much for a shape, when all you did was tweak some sliders, uploaded an ad photo, and then that's it. And please don't get me started with the style card, if you already owned it. Why is it as the consumers responsibility, to compensate you for what you are wearing, your skin and your hair?
