  1. I live in Canada, we don't have VAT. But the Canadian dollar is at an all-time low, so I pay more for premium.
  2. May I add, you do realize. That some creators and consumers will take a bigger hit, living outside the US? You gotta realize, take those prices, and now add the Exchange rate, and if you are in Europe you pay VAT. Take me for example, I am on a quarterly premium membership. In the US, that would be a flat rate of 32.97. Now add exchange rates to that, I am now paying close to 50 bucks in Canadian Dollars, just to enjoy those perks that premium gives me. See what I mean? It's gonna greatly impact people outside the US.
  3. But I do think like in RL, people have that right to voice their concerns. Say they don't like it.
  4. So I am right, you want the creators and consumers to sit down, shut up and just take it. Without voicing their distaste with this decision. That seems kinda harsh, don't you think?
  5. Okay, that's the thing. You are expecting them to shut up, and just take it. You really don't understand the implications this has. Some people use their SL jobs to Maintain their RL. So cashing out, is pretty pertinent to them. And when you start stacking costs, like if they are not from the US you gotta factor in exchange rates, and if they are in the EU VAT will be added on. There is so much that goes on in the background for creators, that yeah they have a right to be perturbed.
  6. Yes, we get that it costs money to run a business. But a lot of people aren't happy with these changes, and they are very fair about being unhappy.
  7. The point is, this all adds up for a creator. With these fees, land fees, if they pay wages to their managers. Factor in the upload costs, and if they are in an event. That is gonna add up even more.
  8. I think the biggest issue here is, and I know you can probably agree with this. With all these raise in costs, it means your overhead goes up. Add to that of fees for your land, and if you pay your managers a wage, that all adds up. For the consumer, that may mean we will see a slight price increase. Even though it may be a slight increase, you may see a loss in customers or even profit. I think that Linden Lab needs to step back for a month or two and really rethink their whole strategy. This hurts more than the retailer, it hurts the consumer too.
  9. I'm just more worried about the people who use SL as a means of financing RL, and I know some creators do that. Especially when you have people who are not within the US, and with those fees, on top of Exchange rate, and in the EU VAT. It will be much more expensive as a creator, to be financially set. That is my one big concern, especially with the people who use SL to make RL ends meet.
  10. Creators are getting hit? How about the consumers, who are also gonna get hit with a price increase? In a perfect world, a business wouldn't expedite its costs onto the consumer. However, to make ends meet, pay overhead and to essentially be able to live, since I know some cash out to RL. These costs will be expedited to the customer, in a price increase on goods and services, within SL.
  11. Another big one, that I gotta add. Allow for users to be able to back up their inventory to the cloud, so if something happens. They can do it right from home. Also, now would have been the time to implement the changing of users names. That would have been a big selling feature.
  12. I honestly think that with the price rise of Premium, the amount it's being raised to which is $10.47. Is not really worth it, hear me out. There should be more perks for premium members as is, yay 10 extra groups and 30 extra offlines, whoop dee freakin doo. There should be more bang for our buck, maybe a stipend increase. That and why decrease the number of groups basic account holders have? Keep basic the same, add perks and rework existing perks that premium members have. Then it would be worth the price increase. I am a premium member, and I feel that the basic account holders are being shafted by this. I also feel that LL can do more in the way of perks, both reworking them, and adding new ones. Tonnes of people aren't happy with this change, I am one of them.
  13. I would suggest keeping it on very low heat, if you do that.
  14. It's not foolproof, but gently heat up the record and put it between two flat surfaces. I suggest books.
  15. Yeah, but it's not paranoia. More annoyance than anything, you try to leave a very nice, and detailed message about what you as the customer, is having a problem with. They immediately delete it, so it's like. What's the freakin point? Your voice is just gonna be silenced anyways.
  16. I just don't see a point. What are you charging 1L for a "demo" exactly? That makes no sense to me. Are you trying to make a little extra L, is it for redelivery purposes? What is it for exactly. I know there are tonnes of reasons as to why someone would charge, anywhere from 1-10L for a demo. However, I just don't see the logic in it. Could you maybe explain to me why this is?
  17. I honestly don't like demos cluttering up my redelivery page in Casper or any other vending system. If you want a demo for your alt so bad, get on the alt, and go get it. Charging any amount of money, for something, with demo plastered all over it, with no textures on the demo, is absolutely absurd. It's like the whole, having to pay 1-10L for a gift from a store. Kinda seems stingy to me.
  18. But if you leave a review, that seems negative. Even if it is constructive criticism. Like hey, I really like your product, but there are a few things I would change about it. They instantly take it down, that is the issue today. No one likes constructive criticism and will delete those reviews instantly. So it's rather moot to review anything these days, RL or SL.
  19. Don't forget the eyes and skins. Which makes me wonder. How In the heck are eyes and skin, considered Kinky?
  20. I know, I saw a video about that. Like using motor oil for Syrup on Pancakes. Yeah, I know they do that kinda stuff. But there is a big difference between RL and SL, in SL you are not limited to certain limitations. Like you would be in RL. How hard is it to take a really good shot in SL, using the product you are selling? I don't mind people using PS just to airbrush or touch up the photo, and add their logo and stuff. But when you have to sit there and pull a fast one on customers. That to me is bad business practices. What did you not rig it right, for a specific body? Like there are so many questions you ask, that makes you wonder why you are buying the product. But honestly, it isn't that hard and is less work, to do the photo in SL, touch it up in PS, and then upload it to SL.
  21. One of my biggest pet peeves, and it's one of few. When creators use 3rd party software, like Daz 3D to show off their item of clothing in their ad. I would like to see the item in the world, so I can see how it looks. Like cmon, you are just adding extra work. Having to rig now for the DAZ3D body, on top of the other bodies you rigged for. That and they tend to edit the ***** out of it, to the point, when you buy the product. It looks totally different than the ad. Also, skin creators who do that too, they will airbrush the crap out of the ad photo. That the skin will look totally different in SL. But that is why I demo all of my stuff first, so I don't screw myself over. Ultimately disappointing myself.
  22. See that is what I mean, no one is perfect. We are gonna judge someone, even if we don't notice it. Like if someone is acting weird, or sketchy. We are gonna make assumptions on how they act.
  23. But don't we stereotype people, anyway? Just wondering?
  24. But if someone already bought the body, would it not be pointless and expensive to just add another one to the fray? I have both the Isis and Lara body, and I honestly don't mind having clothes for both. That and if you already have the body, that fits the clothes. Would you not be wasting money, to buy another body, that is literally a hit or miss to wear said clothes? From what I heard, it only works with curvy shapes. So essentially, everyone who wanted to have a smaller body. You might as well kiss that goodbye with the deformers.
