  1. I'd suggest you try ringing the billing support numbers and ask the staff on that. Here are the numbers from support website: Toll-Free (US/Canada 800.294.106 Long-Distance: 703.286.6277 However, if you're not in the USA, I'd suggest you download Skype to your phone/tablet, then you can call their free number internationally, for free.
  2. Today, LL live chat unavailable 1030-2pm PDT so no live Lindens. Tomorrow Live support closed for Xmas, next live agent available 6am 26/12 so 48 hours without access to support. Support closed 1/2 January 2023 so live support unavailable nearly 96 hours/4 days from 31st December/3rd January. Linden Labs - you have a user base worldwide, in many different timezones. You have thousands (or more) paying customers, so why is access to support so restricted over the holiday period? I'm sure that I'm not the only user who would like to know? other organisations provide live chat support 24/7 Cue this post being deleted.

  4. For me, I can't justify premium spending when support is only available for such limited hours. With a world wide user base support should be available 24/7 365. Closed Jan 1+2 good luck if you have a major problem.
  5. You could try to im your landlord and ask to pay them directly as a "one off" is you can't pay the rental device. Sure they'd be happy to help a tenant out?

Here's how to actually do it (I know from doing this myself): file a support ticket as a guest Give the avi name you're trying to recover explain that you don't have access to the old email anymore. do NOT go giving rl names, addresses etc - they don't need that. Wait for a reply, it takes about 2 days. They'll ask you to answer that avatar's secret question, and will suggest you guess it if you don't actually recall it. You'll be asked about any current alts (they use the big words Active Alternate Accounts). You will be advised to list any/all alts along with secret questions/answers. This is to give them info to compare to the account you're trying to recover. If Support can verify your claim, then they'll help you to reset it's email address, and it's secret question/answer.

  11. You're right, 99% of them are used for griefing. Especially the permission stealer ones. All you can really do is flag them
  12. There's always squatting. Find a group with open access and set home on their land.
  13. to protect yourself, send an AR under "fraud>l$" and explain the reasons why you are worried. LL will take a look at the transaction, you won't get into any trouble at all. if the money is till in your account a few days later, enjoy it! (as will be been confirmed to be legit!)

  15. Do your homework. Look for abandoned land, LL will sell you it for 1l$ a metre. if you use the 10% group bonus, you can get 560m. Don't pay the stupidly ridiculous prices you see mainland selling for.
