Most SL buyers are not even aware of the exchange rate or that their orders go through an exchange. They think they're buying L$ from LL. If the price of L$ went up too significantly then they'd start feeling ripped off and they might start buying less. But with this recent change, they'd be just as comfortable paying the higher price of 248. i think you underestimate the knowledge of most SL users who spend their RL money on L$ to buy stuff in SL most people who do buy L$ (apart from brandnew people), do know that they are buying on Lindex spot market, and they do so bc they want it now today they only buy about $10-$20 worth at a time. Those shoes, that mesh body, that new skin, that fab new outfit, that amazing garden set, house furniture, tip jar, hair fair, etc, cant wait until tomorrow

That control is no longer in place, and because there is an increase in supply, which is not met by demand, the value of the Linden is dropping. If this increase in L$ came from inworld (mesh body sales or asset sales) then it would be met by an increase in demand for L$, and therefore an increase in daily volume, but no change in the exchange rate. ( I don't believe people are selling hoarded L$.) The only thing that makes any sense to me is that the increase in supply is coming from LL, perhaps to get the LindeX exchange rate to a target level, hopefully no higher than 260. Or perhaps they are just selling L$ to generate revenue. My theory stands despite what Ebbe might say. I mean would he really say that LL are messing with it? Of course not. I'm a stock trader in RL. This is not a normal market. for a currency exchange rate to stay flat in a market then a central bank (or surrogate(s)) has to buy back their currency as well as sell it. Is zero evidence to suggest that LL buys L$ back from us the only surrogates who would have the interest and sustainable volumes to stabilise this market over such a long time, would have been the 3rd-party L$ exchanges, volatility is anathema to a currency re-supplier. Their business model is supply at stable/predictable rates, they are not market day traders now that they are not in the market anymore then is no large buying surrogate(s). Most of their previous customers are now buying on the Lindex directly + also what there is evidence of is that there are now more people willing to sell their L$ at a discount to previous you are evidence of this yourself. Last time we had this discussion you said that you sold at 263. If you had waited another 48 hours at the time, then you would have gotten 255 about which is actual consistent with what Ebbe Linden said: There are now someones shifting L$ to US$ in ways that LL hasnt seen in a while
  3. just a general fyi Ebbe Linden got asked about it at the SLB13 talks. His reply is here: https://modemworld.me/sl13b-ebbe-on-second-life/#lindex + basically he said that LL are watching it closely, and is not of their doing theres a lot of contributing factors he said he acknowledge that theres someone(s) shifting a lot of L$ to US$ in ways that they have not seen for a while, (implying I think that these someones are not overly fussed about how much USD they are getting for their L$) he said that Lindex is a exchange between residents, and that LL will never get into Lindex price controls. It will go where it goes (i assume thats with the already existing day trading trigger halt mechanisms in place)
  4. if don't mind the lag for animate objects (incl. avatars) then can do it with streaming MOAP using a bot fixed camera to record the scene . Person would have to enable media to view it tho + about real mirrors in SL it got asked of Oz Linden at the SLB13 talks. His answer is here: https://modemworld.me/2016/06/24/sl13b-talks-oz-and-landon-inside-second-life/#more-60047 basically he said No, not in the forseeable future bc technicals

Is about the other person + take a sim thats into adult BDSM dungeony stuff then you turn up in your furry, or I turn up in my neko. Sim owner goes sorry peeps we just not into animalia here ok and I go but I am soo cute !! And the owner goes: yes you are, you the cutest thing I ever seen. Like ever !! However I dont wanna bondage a kitten, and I dont wanna bondage a furry fox wolf dog squirrel teddy bear thingy either. Now be good ok and go away please, bc I pay $295 for this dungeon, and it gives me the creeps bondaging animals and we go: We are not animals exactly !! And sim owner goes: Since when !? You look like animals, and you sound like them as well with all them gestures and stuff. So yanno. Go away please and I go: sorry to bother you, bye and happy bonding and you go: Well !!! I might be a animal but is like total discrimination that I cant bondage in the presence of that sim owner or their friends and patrons. I am indignorate !! + indignorate: (something about squirrelly wrath should maybe go here) eta: or worse indignorant (but yeah)
  6. ps more i am self-identify with the tribe of SL neko. In both SL and the RL. I have neko ears I wear RL as well. I have mention this before on here. Some people in the RL supermarket can be quite discrimantory toward me. Is horrible when some people sigh at me and roll there eyes like I am some kinda weirdo or something and sometimes also they are horrible toward this guy from Krypton, who sometimes wears his native and ethnic and cultural accoutrements. Some people even snigger at him. Not me tho. I am feel his pains + eta i forgot to add a smiley. i do now just in case (: ps. the Krypton guy is actually a weirdo. Not like me. I am just cute (: like who would ever believe he is actually Superman. Even when you squint your eyes and say some prayers hoping that it might be true and not look at his pot belly tummy not like when they squint at me. Everybody will tell you that I am believeably cute. Unbelieveably cute even as well at the same time even. Like amazing cute. Can ask anyone and they will tell you the same. Is pretty embarrassing sometimes (:
  7. Taramafor wrote: Furry is more then just a suit or an online avatar you... forget it. I'm no longer wasting my time on you. Transgender. Furry. Gay yet religious. It all ends up the same. People getting turned on by their own families or having to hide in rooms. Something I have gladly been spared and never had to suffer through. But I still feel bad for anyone that has. So yes, in many ways they are alike. I guess the concept of "self identity" is lost on you. Should have saved my breath. Whatever. this is a serious disconnect from reality. Transgender and gay {and race] is a biological fact Furry is the same as religion. We are not born furry anymore than we are born christian or muslim or pick your belief eta: [and race] furry is not a race of people. Like african or caucasian, etc
  8. thanks yes I saw that. Is just that I am not going to rollback a Microsoft security update i stick with the LL inworld browser to shop the MP. It goes pretty good
  9. i gave up. is like terrible. like really really i switch to the inworld browser. and I also use the inworld browser to type this goes pretty good
  10. Artorius Constantine wrote: I have a silly idea. (: i have thought about this quite a lot is kinda silly but would be really cool like my avatar is sit at computer inworld and then logs in their own avatar their own avatar then sits beside them inworld watching themselves sitting beside my avatar on my avatars inworld screen then my avatar gets their avatar to rez a couples dance ball which ends up next to my avatar. Then my avatar clicks the ball and their avatar sits, and then I sit my avatar on the ball as well but then if my avatars avatar then sits in front of their own computer and logs in their avatar then could end up with 100s of them, and they could all do a line dance (:
  11. short answer is yes + media-on-a-prim (MOAP) is a web browser. When two or more people view the same prim media, is the same as two or more independent web browsers connecting to a web server authority to stop/start a web session with a server can be LSL-controlled (client-side). Once started tho then is no LSL-controlled (client-side) way to prevent a 2nd person from viewing the content. The prevention has to be done server-side (like any other web server service does) basically once a user has established a legit session then the server returns a 404 (or whichever) to any subsequent browsers (viewers) attempting to access the server thru that prim while a MOAP is in session with the server
  12. if push becomes a problem (and it can bc of the caveats) then another way can do it is 1) link a tiny transparent prim into the back of the chair 2) when the avatar unsits, trap this in the change event 3) when so then a) grow the link prim upwards at least 1.4 meters (higher than the midpoint of the avatar bounding box), and b) forward as long as the chair seat, and c) 2x as long backwards (thru the back of the chair), and d) 2x the chair width this will ease the avatar forward onto the floor in front of the chair. Then after a time resize the link prim to tiny ready for the next sit have to play a bit with the sizing and the timing to get this right
  13. next try feet size = 0 if thats not it then not sure what Sizing you are. You could be wearing the smaller size. XS instead of S. S instead of M, etc also can check that you are not wearing 2 feet alphas accidentally. The Slink alpha and another one if after that then how long are your legs ? I have never been over 61 myself so dunno what is max leg length + and if after all this then check them all again (: bc when you do all this then you never get a gap you can get a shadow line tho depending on the light angle when you zoom right in, which is ameliorated when have applied the Slink feet applier that you get from your skin maker (assuming the skin maker has made an applier, which most of the brand names have)
  14. if not Rolig's way then have to apply a small push (llPushObject) to the avatar. Is caveats using push tho http://wiki.secondlife.com/wiki/LlPushObject
  15. check your Legs \ Knee Angle should be 50 and check the Body \ Body Fat for the Sizing Shape you have chosen + eta also maybe check that you are wearing the correct shoe base for the type of feet (if you have more than one kind of feet)

  17. Matrice Laville wrote: I thought it was clear what i mean when i stated that. And since nobody complained i believe that it was either irrelevant, or overlooked, or accepted and fully understood. So i had no reason to add more info at that time. You where at the meeting? You could have asked back. I would have answered right away and clarified. is that it was reported. and has now been disseminated to a wider audience other than the creatives involved. People who arent in the creative group as you are, go off what is actually said, not what was meant to be said that it was reported as said at a LL-sponsored meet, gives what is said at these meets greater credence to the wider audience, even tho was said by you and not a Linden so I came here to say what I did. Just in case a Linden also takes what was said literally, and never guessed what it was that you meant to say thanks for your since explanation tho. I much appreciative of this (:
  18. amymist wrote: Starting with a smallert project also sounds very reasonable! I'm not sure how the difficulty of these things scales, though- would making a clothing item be easy enough, or should I start with something static, like a piece of decor? i think starting with a pre-existing kit which is mod is the way to begin. A lot of the furry kits are mod (I am most familar with the kemono, but there are others as well) i just use the kemono as a example basically the maker of the kemono encourages us to experiment and make stuff for the avatar. Is lots of youtube tuts and stuff about how to create appliers (textures) and is also a basic kemeno mesh model that can import into Blender as a guide to making own mesh clothes and attachments
  19. i am ADSL and NZ. at end of the world. Only penguins in Antartica have slower internets than me (: i am still waiting for fibre to come down my street. Was supposed to be this year but they say is next year now. I has a sad about that. but oh! well. I just wait and do what I can in the meantime
  20. nuuuu !! it isnt somebody needs put a box on your eyes q; (: not really just maybe (:
  21. for Slink feet to fit your system body shape, the body shape has to be sized to the Standard Sizing protocol. You should have a notecard in the Slink package that shows you what the protocol shape slider measurements that affect the feet need to be
  22. a bit further down from the lovely Rolig Loon https://community.secondlife.com/t5/LSL-Library/A-Smart-Chair-Helps-You-Un-Sit-Gracefully/td-p/2970334

  24. over on Inara Pey blog is the report on the latest Bento inworld meeting. Here: https://modemworld.me/2016/06/25/project-bento-user-group-update-16-with-audio/ in the text was this comment from a person: "All jaw related sliders do no longer translate the jaw except the jaw angle slider; the jaw bone has its default position now right below the faceRoot. The jaw angle slider still moves like crazy but I believe it is not an issue any longer. Actually, I propose to remove the jaw angle slider, because it only is needed for the jaw angle. I bet nobody will miss that slider" i just want to put here that I will miss it, and I think quite a few others as well Jaw Angle helps to soften or tighten our system head profile. I soften my face using this slider
