  1. When I first moved in to one of my houses, I kept hearing bird noises. Camming around I noticed they were clear across the river, but from my property they were faint and rather nice. Now it was clearly a parcel without their sound restricted, and I felt bad for their neighbors, but I loved hearing that low ambient sound. I have no idea if it's there any longer though as I have my parcel sound restricted thanks to my own bird noises, crickets, cicadas.. we need a sound volume on these things.
  2. This type of build would be freaking AMAZING!
  3. If you go in to "About Land" on your parcel, then go to the Sound tab, click on "Restrict Gesture and Object sounds to this parcel". This should keep your sounds on your parcel, but also block sounds from others parcels being heard from yours. Make sure you restrict voice as well. Can't tell you how many.. interesting conversations i've heard from people while wandering, haha.
  4. It looks this way to me, too. The terrain looks maybe tropical or swampy to me, but we'll just have to see what happens.
  5. Jungle/Tiki/Volcano with huts or tree houses for houses.. would be great fun.
  6. The boat is owned, the house says this: It looks to me that this island is not random and in fact houses particular SL residents.
  7. It's possible there is not enough LI on the parcel to rez the horse.
  8. This appeared next to my alt's house this evening(I was actually looking in that direction when the text appeared). Funny enough although the text says SSPE94(although that region also now has traditional parcel markers), it's in fact SSPE79. Was wondering when they'd get to this area. Looks like she will soon have neighbors! And also looks like campers will be going in on SSPE95
  9. Very Mad Max-ish, I like it. 😃
  10. I don't think they intended for larger craft other than little rowboats or something to really occupy the waterways in most of these areas.
  11. Update on my main house. Built a big ol' porch to further that southern feel. Concrete floor but hey.. I like the concrete flooring. Now on to figuring out how to spruce it up a bit within 20 LI.
  12. Well of course there are plenty of clothes coming up for it. Unlike the other top bodies, the kit to make clothes for this body is basically being handed out. I certainly think this is the single biggest thing they did to help their sales. It was a smart move. Still don't see the body as worth 5k though.
  13. Yes, for now at least. There is a possibility they may release some larger in the future, but whether or not that sticks we have no confirmation on yet. 512m and 175LI currently.
  14. Yes, hope people keep watching! I'm excited for them. 😃
  15. Only 1 region of campers went so far. Either staggering or they are going to do them 1 region at a time as well.
  16. I just visited Capitol Springs, and oh my word it is veeeeery laggy there right now! Think I just spotted her house.. lol
  17. Recent assignment from Graham's blue blender class. 😃 Looks quite nice.
  18. It's the Battlescars Stars River Windlight from Jay Nathan. Can find it on the MP.
  19. My main's house, front and back, currently. Reminded me a bit of home. Florida.
  20. My thought is they did River Run this early for a reason. This entire week masses of people had been camping the region. Perhaps they found few enough now to let it go.
  21. Bought JayNathan's Battlescars River Clouds/Windlight a few mins ago and holy toledo.. Upped the contrast a little on this one. I love theeeese. Now if only I can figure out a decent angle to get the back of the house with.. slightly difficult considering mountain/hill and trees. =x
  22. I think I remember reading somewhere that they are partly the center of a region. I think they do something else but don't know what.
  23. My fiance's head was done the same way that I explained. The hair he's wearing is the Nekoya Hair by Ayashi. It's a rigged style.
  24. You'll want to rez the head and eyes both on the ground. Bring them all up to a level/height you can comfortably worth with and position the eyes as you want them to look inside the head. This can take a little time, so be patient. Once you have that done, rez a prim of shrink it down really small. Temporarily move the head away from the eyes, and position the prim behind the eyes, close enough that they'd be inside the head, but not necessarily on top of the eyes. Select the eyes and link them to the cube. You can leave the cube as is or set it to transparent(just the cube), up to you. Move the head back(opening edit on the head and ctrl z should move it back to where it was with the eyes). Then select the linked cube and link it to the head. You can move the head around to see if it worked/if the eyes move with the head. It's been a while since i'd done this, but I believe that's how I did it.
