I love Catwa heads but the one they're selling for 1L today is just so ugly. 😅 I know they change with the shape but still. I wish they did this sale with a prettier one.

I didn't read the whole thread so this has probably been suggested but just get security orbs and set them to like 15 to 20 seconds. That gives enough time for people to walk back onto public land or to TP away. A lot of scenic sims that I like to explore have cabins like that but they're open to the public so I understand the confusion if the rest of the sim is public.

What do you mean by taking over where SL should be? VRChat and Minecraft are very different from SL and also different from each other. Even IMVU, which also has apps for both iPhone and Android, and is more similar to SL than the things you mentioned is still different enough and also not "taking over". Also, I want to know why you care. Because a lot of people still play SL and if you enjoy it why does it matter if other people are playing something else?

I prefer shopping on MP because I can just stay home and try on demos. It's easier than getting a demo from a store, TPing home, and then coming back to buy it. I know I can try stuff on in the store but I don't like doing that.

Obviously. I think a game streaming service is the next thing I'm going to try.

Yeah, those settings didn't work on this computer. I'll just have to keep saving for a gaming laptop.

@Lyssa Greymoon Thanks. I'm gonna try all that when I get on. This used to work, but in the past year or so it lags like crazy. I think the computer is just too old to handle it, sadly. I remember years ago I was able to run SL with no lag on an even crappier laptop on high graphics. Those were the days.

I want to preface this by saying that I am currently saving up for a new laptop. The one I'm using lags like crazy and doesn't load most avis or most of the sim. If it's a busy sim, forget about it. It'll just freeze. I already have the graphic settings on low, and draw distance and all that is also on the lowest settings. My frames per second is usually like 10 and below. Is there anything else I can do?

I found a sim that seems to be abandoned, and has their permissions set to where anyone can rez anything without it being returned. There's so many random houses and other things rezzed here. Kind of interesting and funny.

Do you mean when creators use an outside program to show clothes in an ad instead of on an avi? A popular clothing creator does that. The clothes still look good in SL, but it def looks better on the morph. I guess that's the point tho.

Not exactly. I didn't want a "name" sounding username because I know eventually I would hate the first name, last name, or the combination. And I don't like when someone with a "name" username has a display name that's a different first and last name. It just looks weird. Don't know if that made sense.

Why did they get rid of last names in the first place?
