when i hear you about the rental price ad prims for that sim it must be a homestead. You'r talking about a dozen houses, ánd hangouts?... thats really to much for a homestead. Homesteads are for limited use. 4 rental spots /quarter sim, would be a lot wiser. But just my thoughts...

If I bought property that bordered on water, but did not
Alwin Alcott replied to Jackie1957's question in Land
depends... if it's public ( or set to public): yes if it's private property: no if it is set to public use, it also might have auto-return enabled, your boat will be returned to your inventory in a certain time. -
My inventory, friends list, and landmarks have all been lost!
Alwin Alcott replied to Rykela's question in Inventory
if this all isn't solved by the things we can try outselves... only one thing, and the most powerfull is left...send in a support ticket. Must say it's the first time i heared about a status "account under maintenance" ....- 1 reply

what masterdcard do you use?...a real CC or debit card with mastercard logo?

if you have hair that is transfer/no copy it's mostly no problem nor ethical wrong to resell it. When it's full perms it's often different, depends on the agreement you have with the creator, if under license it will be limited. Lot of things by new resident/young residents on MP is illegal and /or copied. LL does not take action against those before the original creator takes actions. So when you see relatively cheap but very high quality things... be warned you might get illegal stuff ... in special also in skins this is often the case, see a brand name on a non brand related story name ....skip it.

HOw can I buy Linden $$ with UK GBP rather than US$?
Alwin Alcott replied to Felix Mortensen's question in Linden Dollars (L$)
no, there's only one source of L$ and that's the Lindex. And that uses USD. Your Credit Card or Payapl converts automaticly. -
Can items lost from inventory be recovered?
Alwin Alcott replied to WikedWildenkrazy's question in Inventory
if it "magicaly" disappeared you can try to let your inventory reload. Go to your preferences and clear inventory cache, go to a empty sim and let it reload. With some luck the lost folder is back. If you accidently deleted it, it will be in your trash, you can restore it from there. If you already emptied the trash, you'r out of luck... it's gone, but perhaps the store has a redelivery vendor inworld, check that. If the item was transfer, you'r out of luck, that won't be redelivered. Also possible your inventory just lost it... sometimes happens... -
no you can not from the website, you have to go inworld
-
i have the same, not hundreds but about ten each it's something technical somtimes i delete all except one, but i know they will be back.... it doesn't do anything else as far i know, so i can live with it
-
you already marked as solved, but it's easier, you don't need support. You can use the forgot login info button, and let SL send a email to your adress... if ther are no other accounts on it you will have it in a minute.

Or/and are they spread out exactly that, and have you any idea how large SL is? if we spread up all online avatars evenly over the grid you will still see nobody.... I am not a frequent as of yet, having been around sparsely for a while come a little more and jump around a bit ... Most I count on total doing a quick skim is 4-500 total... i have no idea where you look but most times there are a average between 27500 / 35000 people online in SL ...

Music keeps fading out then back in
Alwin Alcott replied to Dominick Benazzi's topic in General Second Life Tech Discussion
it is a setting on your machone in the soundpreferences. As soon your soundcard processes a different source it reduces the volume to protect your speakers/ears. On lower levels that gives the annoying result you experience now. -
i have no idea what's happening, i think it's technical. Also mine, is removed, and it's really also no shocking one, i'm using it as profile avata now.

if people think you'r an alt because of a empty profile tells more about your friends than about you... If they think alts have empty profiles they'r simply wrong.

Grief/Stalking Question - Avatar Locator
Alwin Alcott replied to Trezz Vyper's topic in General Discussion Forum
Talking for a friend is always a bit difficult, it's second hand information you share. She better do the talking herself. Without permission it is not possible to get teleported. She must have given a confirmation in one or other way. When she gets pop ups, she is in a group or has some kind of device attached. To know the last, check what is worn or ( more work) do a avatar character test, and than MANUALLY add all bodyparts again. Do not... NOT use outfits that are recently created, because the device will be in that folders too. It is always possible to meet griefers.. being here your first day or 7th year makes no difference, starting new is a bit overreacting i think. -
there are lot of posts with this problem, you can try the solution at this page: http://wiki.phoenixviewer.com/fs_bake_fail

personally i would never ever follow links to pay people. Use the official buttons, or directly on the person self. Using links most likely can be used for bad practices, and when possible.... it will......

i think you get a quicker response in the inworld firestorm group

the avatar limit for homesteads is 20, so 20 is the maximum of avatars there the same time. So if nr 21 wants to tp in, he gets the message that the region is full. If there are 20 on your neighbours parcel alone, the other 15 can not enter, no visitors, no owners. I underlined maximum because the limit can be set lower. You will encounter a limit on ANY sim, parcel ... so if you pay for homestead, mainland or full sim won't make a difference.
-
well... most likely it's used to prove you were misbehaving and report you. Think you are lucky if nobody reported you at LL for a more closer look and possible gridwide action against you. And if you wonder if it's allowed to be banned... yes totally, every simowner is allowed to do that for any or even none reason..

Group Member join date?
Alwin Alcott replied to Kralus's topic in General Second Life Tech Discussion
i think you were on the right track to look for the joining fee in the transactions.... only...L$ transactions are only kept for 32 days, so if you want to keep a list, you will need to download it to your hd and put it in a file. Other ways to see more arent available i'm affraid. -
