I logged into Secondlife using a new computer for the first time in several months, due to my old computer having been broken for that amount of time. I believe it was around August that I logged in last. First, when I tried to log in, I got a message stating that my account was "under maintenance," and I would have to wait and try again. I waited several hours, and when I finally got in, all of my items were gone. My inventory as well as my landmarks, animation overrides, and even my friends list had all been removed. I had been switched to a default avatar. I tried all of the solutions that had been recommended online, from clearing my cache to trying different viewers (including the default). Nothing worked. I have lost a LOT of money, and so I'm VERY upset about this!
