I hope I had made clear in all of my posts that this is a matter of having a complete avatar and that I have NO interest (NONE, ZERO, NADA) in sexual activity. I understand the problems that can result from a child avatar engaging in sexual activity of any kind, and I have NO intention of getting anywhere near that. since you've been so adamant about no ageplay (mentioning now in 3 posts), my suggestion is to go to a place like xcite and buy one that can be shrunk to the right size. I would suggest doing that as an adult AV and then going back to being a kid so that you don't get reported for being in an adult place. When I've gotten "things" for my maids, that's what I did. Inquiring minds want to know...uh...what are you planning on doing with it, if not something sexual...or shouldn't we ask?? :matte-motes-sunglasses-3:

According to the knowledge base,(http://community.secondlife.com/t5/English-Knowledge-Base/Accounts-overview/ta-p/700019#Section_.5.2 )here's what you have to do: Re-activating a canceled account If you have cancelled your account, you may be able to restore it, depending on how long ago it was cancelled. There is a US$9.95 reactivation fee for restoring an account. Warning: Even if your account is restored, the associated inventory, land, and Linden dollar balance may be unrecoverable. To start the process: Open a support case. Under What type of problem are you having? choose Account Issue. Choose Reactivate an old account. Enter the required information Click Submit. Good luck....

I'm looking for a viewer that strikes a balance between a high number of features and a low amount of lag. Does the vanilla viewer meet these demands, or is there a third-party viewer that's better? The topic of "what is the best viewer" has been brought up mulitiple times. I am linking (hopefully) those conversations to this thread. I hope that the OP would take the time and go through the information and determine which is best for them Good luck http://community.secondlife.com/t5/forums/searchpage/tab/message?filter=labels%2Clocation&location=category%3AForums&q=best+viewer
  6. It's funny you say that.I was thinking that I was impressed they were now using 3 different accounts to create these mulitiple threads rather than just one. I guess they're thinking that it'll take LL a bit longer to delete them and they can have more time to create more. It is kind of sad that the posters haven't figured out that they're wasting their time. I'm sure they get no responses from these threads and they get deleted (eventually)and banned by LL anyway. I hope they at least get paid by the thread...:matte-motes-sunglasses-3: EDITED TO ADD: It's actually not bad today...I've seen it go as far as 7 pages down. Right now (12:00 EST), It's only 3 pages

  8. Well first, welcome to SL.... Let me just say this...a sim owner is Lord and Master over their domain and can ban anyone, for any reason, at any time. Oh..you have red hair: BAN! Oh...you have funny looking eyes: BAN! You are too tall or too short: BAN! It really doesn't matter why they banned you, just know that they can. Some sims do have rules against residents that are under 30 days old. That could be another reason for the ban. As stated before, you are more than welcome to send a notecard to the owner and ask for the ban to be lifted...whether or not it is done is up to them. You can plead until you're blue in the face and it won't make a bit of difference. Since you are so new, you might want to spend your time trying to improve your avatar (new skin, shape, AO, clothes) and there are lots of places that offer free items for new residents. Here is a good website to start with http://fabfree.wordpress.com/ My opinion is to forget about that place unless you have some sort of need to be there. Go out, explore, have fun, play with your appearance...it's a lot more fun than just going to some s*x sim. Good luck.
  9. I don't know if I'm bored as much as having to go through the annoyance of the Halloween stuff. The sims as you stated "Wonderful scenery, and all that, but horribly over-extended and padded", don't thrill me. When I go, I usually get horrible lag, annoying sound effects, and menus to go through to get to the attraction. Not my cup of tea. Although, I'm also not really big on haunted things in RL either.....
  10. I've had that same problem for a while and it's been kind of discouraging...and unfortunately, I don't have a perfect solution. What I do is to keep clicking the talk button and the microphone button (on Firestorm) until I get totally frustrated...:matte-motes-sunglasses-3: One suggestion might be (again on Firestorm) is to go into the voice preferences and click the button that controls the voice output (I apologize that I can't remember what it's called). Sometimes resetting that will help the voice to work. Another thought...is to go into Firestorm support group and ask the question there. See if anyone else has any solutions. Good luck
  11. nothing happens to you. I got "bitten" years ago (a former friend asked if they could bite me) and I'm still the same, slightly insane person I was all that time ago. I did drink whatever potion you were supposed to (cost me a couple hundred lindens too) but I don't think it did anything. Every so often, I'll be walking around and someone will tell me that I've been bitten and my soul is in limbo. My response: "Oh.,.I'd forgotten about that...thanks." On another note, I don't know if that victim search thing works. I've been trying to find myself and I'm not coming up...unless after a while you fall off the list....

Alicia Sautereau wrote: Men who have a female avi and have the need to hide it even further by using a morpher to mislead others aren`t men, but *********** I can't totally argue with you Alicia...but I can't totally agree either. I know a lot of people who are men who play women in SL..heck, I've done it a few times myself...and most of them do it not to mislead, but because they can't do it in RL; they are gay, transgendered or just crossdressers. I think it would make them feel more comfortable in their SL skin if their voice could match their look. On the other hand, which also goes to Sephina's point, people feel "cheated" if they become very close and the person isn't who they say they are. When my old AV (female) had a Mistress, I toid her eventually that I was really a guy..she was ok with it...it could have easily gone the other way. Why the hell does it quote you now Tex? frigging forum... Not sure what you mean here..I guess that it won't quote me?? Otherwise, I've really upset you... (in which case, I'm sorry...):matte-motes-sunglasses-3:
  13. KarenMichelle Lane wrote: P.S. Even with Voice Morphing Software it's pretty easy to identify its use in SL. The converted voice just doesn't sound right to my ear. Using the demos that were on the website, I think the male to female sounded pretty good. The female to male voice sounded very digitized to me.
  14. KarenMichelle Lane wrote: How about you save up your pennies and purchase the software for use on your PC. This way you pay for it once and can use any of the available voices this company offers. http://www.screamingbee.com/product/MorphVOX.aspx Enjoy. I personally like using the cute Fox Female voice when being incognito during Halloween. Great...another way for men who are playing women to hide in SL.... :matte-motes-sunglasses-3:

You want me to click a link that says Don't Click the Link?? I'm SO confused!!!!! :matte-motes-sunglasses-3: Also, talking about random bite requests...I had created a new AV for something and was in one of the HUBs when I immediately got a bite request from a lycan. I knew better than to click it, but I wonder how many n00bs got suckered into that one??
  16. Of course...we would need to know where the residents of the land live in RL...the laws of the US are different then the laws of the UK, for example and would be exceedingly difficult to enforce in court. My suggestion is not to bother. LL will only have on file who owns the land..and what if this person does something worse to the land than just sell it to a griefer...or forgets to pay tier? Your friend would be liable for any and all actions that take place on land that they own. (Someone please correct me if I'm wrong). IMHO both of you should (and please also, someone help me with this as I don't know the terminology) return the land to LL, then rebuy it again.

If I go to another place I'm fine, but at home I turn in a continuouse circle. I also have a very bizard take on TPing now. I see the screen float to my avie. That I am less concerned about. I turned off RLV and it seemed to fix the problem, but I use RLV a lot and do not want to have to disable it to be at home. I am using Firestorm, and this is all something that just began today. All the rest of the week I was fine. I can not think of anything different that i've used or had on, and I tried taking everyhting off already to see if it made any difference, but it didn't seem to. ANy help would be appreciated. Thank you. Maybe it's your crazy lifestyle making you spin out of control...you can't burn the candle at both ends, you know :matte-motes-sunglasses-3: Seriously though, I might make three suggestions although I don't know if they'll help. 1. I don't know what you're using for your RLV (collar, icontrol) but maybe find a new one. It might be the device that's causing it at home. 2. Maybe try reinstalling Firestorm? 3. Firestorm has a support group..try posing your question there if you can't get an answer here. Good luck

  20. Sign on to www.secondlife.com and log in.... Then, click on "My Second Life" On the "people" tab, there is a cog next to each person's name. If you were to click it and then click permissions, there is something there that allows someone to see where you are on the map. Try unclicking that. I believe what you previously changed just refers to posts on the forum or the feed. Good luck. EDITED to give specific directions from Log In...
  21. Normally, I'm the first person to complain when someone goes back to a thread weeks after its ended...but I saw this on YouTube and wanted to post it. By the way..check out their other videos.
  22. Freya Mokusei wrote: Right-click > Edit Or Right-click > Detach Right-click object in Inventory > Attach To Hud > Right IMO, you are better off editing it then attaching it somewhere else. Some HUDs are not set up to be placed anywhere but where they go and you risk not being able to see it if you attach it to another place. The only downfall of editing is you'll have to do it every time.
  23. Keli Kyrie wrote: Is SL making enough money off these ads that they are able to make up for the money I am not spending on SL now? What about you are you spending money on stuff you see in the ads? In answer to your first question, I'm sure LL is doing fine with all the ads (and I'm sure you know that it's Linden Lab that's getting the money, not Second Life per se). There are a ton of diiferent ones that show up..everything from "dating" services to telephone and cable providers to other RP games (which always made me wonder). Anyway...my guess is that they get a fixed fee from the advertisers and then maybe get a little bonus when someone clicks on the ad. Even if you use an adblocker program and don't see them, LL is still making money from the ads. The comparison would be if you have a billboard on a highway, even if no one sees it, the company who owns the billboard is making money off the ad. You, my dear, may be a special case. People will spend money off the ads but probably not to the extent that you are. In answer to your second question, no. I am not spending any additional money off the ads that show up on the forum. Then again, I'm not spending a lot of money (or lindens) in SL at all. Since I don't really have a source of income inworld, i'm reluctant to spend any money knowing it will take me a while to get it back. If it's not free or under $10L, I usually don't buy it.
