I think I agree that it's just SL being glitchy, but I have a silly question...you say you keep changing your password...did you remember to uncheck the box that says "remember password"? I know it's a minor oversight but sometimes it's the little things that make the difference. Thanks...

I'm not a techie...but are you using a WiFi connection or directly into the router? I remember reading somewhere that SL is a lot more laggy when you're not directly connected....

This is a wonderful idea. I, for one, would love to see a decrease in the amount of s**t that comes through the forums. Your point, however, is moot...because as we all know, LL does not read the forum and if they do, they would not implement the excellent ideas posted here.

they're probably not connected, but I'm not able to get into the email account that is associated with my SL account. My password is coming up as incorrect. I might suggest checking that out, although as I said, it's probably nothing.

I suppose they should consider themselves lucky that there's a place in nice, sunny South Florida for them. Would they feel the same way if the place was in, say, Minnesota or soggy Washington State? I'm sort of torn by the whole thing...not sure if it's a good or bad thing. But since I don't live in Florida, I don't have to worry about it..:matte-motes-sunglasses-3:

My question is why do you give a F**K about what other people think of you. You've been here for a while...you know what you're doing, who cares? Move on with your life and let others think about you as they wish. How does it affect you if they think you're an ALT? They won't talk to you? WHO CARES?? They think you don't know what you're doing, inworld? WHO CARES?? They treat you differently because they think you haven't been here that long? WHO CARES?? This is YOUR SL life....you can't let someone else affect how you're going to enjoy your time here. They bug you, mute them, leave, go on your merry way...WHO CARES??

Welcome to SL.... My suggestion, first, is not to be shy. This is SL...no one is going to attack you for saying hello..worst that will happen is they might yell and you and then you can mute them and never come back again. As I may have said to many people, check the search function to find groups that share the same interests as you. SciFi, Music, Art, Movies..they're all out there. Find a group and join it..most are free. Then send out a group IM or send a message to the Moderator. Ask where people hang out..what they like to do, etc. I'm sure you can meet a few people that way. Good luck..

I was informed yesterday that I have an important RL event that I promised to attend, so the Forum Posters Party scheduled for August 24th is being cancelled. Thanks to all who encouraged me to have this and to Hippie for the supplies. I'll pick another day soon and try again.

as we've been saying for days, the my.secondlife.com site is acting funky. Sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn't. Nothing we can do until LL fixes it
