Yes, Second Life users (creators, inworld service providers, business owners, employees of those businesses or simply freelancers) cash out 60-70 million US dollar each year, and I know a friend of mine who makes around $5,000 a month, and they aren't even one of the biggest creators.

No, it would make one of the most used means of communication on SL seem way more trivial and undermine SL's dedication of being a virtual world platform. There are ASCII arts and symbols already, not to mention gestures, those works just fine and are fine but straight up emojis is just no lol.

Edit 2: I'm stupid, LL mentioned the name in the blog post it's "Bellisseria" Sailed there earlier from southern Sansara and livestreamed it c= it was gorgeous ♥ Edit: Just thought the name might be "Bella Chérie" or "Beautiful Dear" in French

Explored southeastern Sansara with some friends 3 days ago c= drove a bus from my place at Kuula down to Black (and then tried to cross to the offroad hilly bit but it was too much and the bus tipped over) was laggy but fun, we drove to the new intercontinental channel that connects Jeogeot to Sansara (or at least where it would be at southeastern sansara)

It's only a day in of the WIP upcoming intercontinental channel that would connect Jeogeot to Sansara, and people are already getting excited over it and sailed / flew / teleported to the ends of the channel to see the current progress c= I livestreamed it earlier today and a lot of people came! Can't wait for it to be completed!

OMG that makes a lot of sense! Explains the docks and houseboats in the new linden homes area / preview too! It would be much more appealing to people now that they are connected to a channel that connects the mainland continents! Wow u wu Actually kinda thought about something like this, like what if a private sims owner decide to make such a channel and have rentable lands along it, darn lol, shows that LL is really amping their effort on SL c= I hope they make a long toll bridge too to go along with it for those who prefer driving rather than sailing / flying my friend said so too

So a friend of mine told me that the driver of SL group told its members to look for "Jetsam" on the world map, and this is what I found. OMG, IS LL FINALLY CONNECTING THE SEPARATE CONTINENTS? O: (other than the ones that are already connected)
