  1. Either this or they expect the consumer to be ignorant enough to be fooled by the confusion?
  2. Unable to rezz, unable to read your AO notecard, please try again later.
  3. *check the forum rating* I've no idea what you're talking about.
  4. I still remember the 1st time I purchased an item (back in 2010 then) and received a prim with a picture on it instead. I was about to flame the creator and to leave the worst review ever but my SL mentor explained me how to rezz and open a box.
  5. The ring is smaller than what you're looking but that's the closest I found : https://marketplace.secondlife.com/p/REBELLION-DELILAH-LEATHER-COLLAR/12193439 Depending on where's the mod permission is on, you may or may not be able to resize the ring part independantly but I really can not guarantee that it is possible.
  6. Most MCs are using the patchable biker vest from Onyx, which had been updated for meshbodies : https://marketplace.secondlife.com/p/Patchable-Bikers-Vests-Black-Multi-Bodies-FITMESH/9921583 However if you want something that is not so biker vest, you'll have to look into fullperm jacket. Meli Imako should have some.
  7. I think the funniest part is that prior to this new ARC paranoia, noone ever had any troubles to render flexi skirts.
  8. The Belleza creator is known to be rather slow to update her meshbodies. Those who bought the Belleza fullpack before they became 3 seperate packs can tell you how long we had to wait for an update on the HUD which was glitching. I don't believe that a bento update on the Belleza bodies will change how the content creators are dictating what meshbody the users must have (hint : try to look for accessories for SLink bento hands).
  9. Editing my shape, there are few details here and there that I'm not satisfied with. And cleaning my inventory, I've a lot of useless demos. Now I'm down to 139k (I can hear you all laughing, pfffff). Final shape, well until I'll discover another flaw :
  10. A bohemian bellydance outfit to show off my new meshbody and its wiggling fingers.
  11. Yes and a 240k inventory makes it even slower but I don't know any faster way. Same as with a pc actually. If you try to move a folder to a partition that is heavily loaded, it'll take longer.
  12. You can also rezz a prim, put things you don't need in it and rename it. I don't know if there's a limit on how many items we can put in a prim but even with 100 items in each prim you can reduce your inventory by 99%.
  13. Copy vs Nocopy : with a copy item, you can rezz as many copies of it as you want and you've a backup copy in your inventory. Mod vs Nomod : Mod allows you to customize a furniture, except if you stick to a popular design or want unmatching furnitures. Some items are tagged as nomod because the script inside them is nomod while it is possible to edit the object. LI, a.k.a. Land Impact : meshes have decimal values from 0.06 to NNNN which means that if you combine them, you can lower the LI. Example : 3 mesh flowers for 1 LI only vs 3 prim flowers for 3 LI. However to be able to link meshes together, they need to be either copy/mod or nocopy/mod. This should help to figure what's a good furniture then for the prices? Well that's why there are so many creators...
  14. Usually scripts are nomod if it's not a fullperm item. But then and because the scripts are nomod, the whole item becomes tagged as nomod while sometimes it is still possible to edit it and to change textures, unlink parts, resize a part, delete a part, etc... That's how I customized my bike while the script engine is nomod.
  15. Yes and that's why I'm shopping anims for them.
  16. It may depend on the furniture. Example : for a bed? It can be ok if it's not copiable as you'll probably need only one but for chairs, you want to be able to rezz different copies of the chair to furnish a room. But generally it's better to have copiable furnitures.
  17. I don't think there's any valid excuse to add lag as it falls directly under a creator's responsability to be careful about it. As many uploads as there are unlinkable parts. Here's an example of what I did with a modifiable furniture. On the left side the original textured one (all 1024x1024, each part) and on the right side with 512x512 textures. While the retextured one looks less detailed, it's very rare that someone's going to zoom that close to a furniture so high textures are really not needed. https://my.secondlife.com/morgan.rosenstar/snapshots/5793c436b713f72a5e000001?version=original
  18. Two things to mention about furnitures before you buy any : - copy/mod permissions : if you want to decorate your homeplace in an unique and custom way, you'll need the furnitures to be modifiable. - textures : a lot of mesh furnitures are overtextured and generates a lot of lag. See the picture below : https://my.secondlife.com/morgan.rosenstar/snapshots/53deabef8da5726771000001?version=original As a roleplayer, I've decorated my homeplace mostly with fantasy stuff and I don't know if that's what you're looking for.
