  1. actually I did measure my avie to be real life hieght via a prim. I am not really a speck just very short compared to a lot of things in sl. Speck I would say not.
  2. yeah exactly. And on top of that there are other sliders that can give a similar effect tot he ones you can't use anymore for mesh. Like the body thickness slider to get a thicker avie instead of body fat.
  3. There is a reason that games use lower poly's then moveis and why movies can take literally YEARS to render out each frame. A lot has to do with poly's. That said it's not just high poly's taht causes lag though it doesn't help. Large textures, heavy scripts, and a low end computer rendering them can also be causes of lag as well.
  4. unfortunatly soon you may have to update your version of firestorm to allow for server side baking. What you can do is switch to something more modern. You might wanna try singularity or cool vl which are somewhat better for older/lowend systems. These I believe are being updated witht he new server side baking when it comes out as well.
  5. Yeah unfortunatly people do this allt he time adn unless it's not as advertised it can't be shut down. I think you might be able to flag it for something couldn't hurt to attempt to flag and see your options.
  6. never seen or heard of pokeman snap xxx before but it's pretty funny. Seen a few avies that are pokemon that look like those though. Yeah would be neat if there were more pokemon avies but I htink that bug type isn't as popular as say electric (pikachu) that's why there aren't any. Also I think this belongs in the wanted forum?

  9. my avatar is 5' 4" in sl and I am shorter then most. To be fair because of how the original avatars in sl were made everyone and everything is proportionally taller then real life. There's nothing wrong with that as long as your body is proportionate in general. I just happen to like haveing a shorter avie.
  10. actually it depends on weither the mesh is rigged or not. Rigged mesh cannot be edited outside of texturing it or possible scripting it. you can't resize it though.
  11. So I have two mp freebies wellI uploaded images to it but they seem not to be appearing to anyone else. They look fine to me when I view my store but two people have told me they can not see them? Am I doing something wrong? Any help would be appriciated so I can avoid this in the future.. ***EDIT I've tried Png and jpg no diffrence though I can't image that there would be? is it bceuase there not a specific size?**
  12. I have the same mesh head. No ones mentioned it except once and that was on a laggy sim in which it did finally load for them. I think the thing is that most people who can't see mesh know they can't and therefore don't mention it.

  15. to make that white you could just apply the shadow map included with the kit and it;ll look white. Get a black belt and your good to go ont hat one I think. I've bought kits from this seller before and they are very nice!
  16. looks like your polygons are inverted? not sure how to fix that in blender though but should helpy ou at least know what to google right? Edit googled it myself someone posted in a forum that this is what you do: Select these faces you want to flip, then press the WKEY and in the popup select "Flip Normals". BTW: You can check faces' orientation, when you go to Editing Buttons (F9) and there to the tab named "Mesh Tools 1", where you find the button "Draw Normals". Those more familiar with blender might correct me if I'm wrong though
  17. you might be deformed perhaps? unless you changed to a shorter shape? Try looking for a free deform I think Utilitizer sells one for free at his shop.
  18. personally I like the FATEeyes. there a little pricey mesh eyes but they really offer a great varity. They can be practically any color and look you can even add custom textures. I know people are saying mesh eyes aren't worth it but if you like to change your eye color a lot then buy tons and tons of eye textures can get expensive but these you can make look like practically anything. Just my opinion though.
  19. I honestly can't see uti making the busts bigger for you since he's usually busy with his own projects. Clothes are going to be a pain since you'll probably have to make them yourself.
  20. in prefrences> general int he box in the corner click the radio button for pressing keys effects movments. you should move with wasd then.
  21. you need more then just a shape for the base SL body you need them mesh toddleedoo avatar https://marketplace.secondlife.com/p/Cute-Bytes-ToddleeDoo/3702051 you can get it there. The reason clothes aren't working is because tehre designed for that mesh body.
  22. I agree DA is a great sight for refrences there's all types of people in every pose imaginable.
  23. there hand poses are ususally the one you currently have or fists closed from what I've seen
