Use the + sign to combine two search terms when searching your inventory e.g. gold+ruby pulls up the words "gold" AND "ruby" no matter where they are in the item description in your inventory.

I am late to this conversation, and I haven't read through it all yet, but here is my take on why sims are so expensive: Land rental is the main source of income to Linden Lab. They are now, very slowly, moving away from that model, with a recent slight lowering of sim setup fees and monthly costs, and a corresponding slight increase in other fees (e.g. buying Linden dollars). When they move sims to "the cloud" (a project that is currently underway), they will be able to lower sim prices even more. And, if you think Second Life is expensive, you should look at one of the newer planned virtual worlds, Decentraland: https://ryanschultz.com/tag/decentraland/ In Decentraland, the current MINUMUM price for a 10m-by-10m plot of virtual land is 9,000 MANA (their cryptocurrency), which works out to US$456.19. All year there has been frantic speculation by land flippers and investors, driven by greed, to the extent that major news organizations like the BBC have reported on it. AND the kicker is, you can't even VISIT it yet!

Yes, it got taken down a few minutes after I posted today. I mean, the guy was copying pictures from vendors like TRUTH and Catwa. The nerve of some people! I wonder how much money he made (if any). I bet some people were taken in by the scam. And there still needs to be a better way for consumers to report obviously scam stores like this on the SL Marketplace. NONE of the categories when you flag an item are appropriate for reporting a scam artist.

The store is still up and he has added even more items that weren't there before, like the Vista Esther AO and Truth hair!

Oh, and somebody already mentioned Truth. It's worth joining because they give away an amazing hairstyle fatpack to their members every month.

I should write up another blogpost about the best non-free store groups to join. A few off the top of my head are Scandalize, Legendaire (join the V.I.P. Group, not the old one), Akeruka (they have been giving out male and female Bento mesh heads as free group gifts every six months or so), and Altamura (to take advantage of special deals they offer to group members throughout the year). By the way, I watch for periods when you can join the store VIP groups for free. This Black Friday weekend only, you can join REIGN, Love Hair & Apparel, and Pink Cream Pink all for free! All three have lots of group gifts.

Well, I flagged a few of these items, but there's no good category under Not As Advertised that really fits. This is clearly a scammer but there's no way to indicate that. The only 3 options are Incorrect Listing Category, Incorrect Listing Image, and Item Permissions Not As Advertised.

There's a new store, called BLACK FRIDAY PROMO STORE LIMITED 2H, which has dozens of clearly copybotted items for sale, including Catwa heads, Vista AOs and L'Etre skins. He/she can't even be bothered to use new pictures, the pictures are clearly stolen from the vendors too! How do I report this store to Linden Lab? I can't flag the items because I am not the intellectual property owner. What do I do when I see stuff like this?

OK, something is borked then, it's not just me!! Thanks ? I just tried loading one of my alts and I have the same problem with her, too.

For some reason I can't get my system avatar textures to display. Alphas don't work either. Here's the default Sauin demon avatar to show you the problems I am having. The clothing alphas aren't working, and none of the system avatar textures like skin are working. I have relogged in and out several times and it doesn't fix the problem. Tried loading different system, (non-mesh) avatars, same problem. Did a Forece Appearance Rebake (Ctr-Alt-R) and that didn't work either. Any other ideas on what I can try? I'm stumped. I can see textures on OTHER avatars, just not mine.

I am looking for a GOOD, FREE dance HUD. *Not* one of those with all the horrible old freebie dances, please. I'd prefer one with some Bento dances included if possible, but if that's not possible then I want just a good free dance HUD I can easily add my own Bento dances to (like the freebies that MOVE! offers from time to time). Rather than go through page after page of horribly dated dance HUDs in the Marketplace, I thought I would ask here for recommendations. Thanks in advance!

As much as I hate TMP and their sales model, I do have to agree: I have one male alt who still uses the free TMP body (with the Akeruka Aron head), and he still looks pretty good! However, I wouldn't recommend TMP to anybody now that they have discontinued the free versions of their male and female mesh bodies. Their HUD-based sales system is ABSOLUTELY HORRIBLE and a real pain in the ass to use. When/if they ever decide to pull the plug on their servers, you will be unable to retexture your clothing, even if you had bought all the different colours available for a coat, dress, T-shirt, etc.
