  1. The current TMP pricing model is good ONLY for those people who had already gotten the free male (or female) TMP mesh body, and now can pick up all the TMP clothing from their Boutique for free. All this clothing fits the free TMP mesh body perfectly without the need for alphas. There's not a lot of male clothing, but there's a fair bit of female clothing and it's available in a wide variety of colours and there is some nice texturing on it. So if you did pick up the free body before they discontinued it, you can now stop by and pick up all the free clothes. And I agree with the person above who said this was a desperate, last-minute cash grab by TMP. Expect them to pull the plug at any point, which probably means that you will not be able to retexture your clothing using the required StyleMode HUD (even if you bought all the different colours of a particular item before they launched this sale). I am hoping that my newly-obtained free TMP clothing will still work (but I will be unable to change its colour) when/if TMP shuts down completely.
  2. Thanks for commenting, MysteriousDots! I have found that most Maitreya clothing seems to fit the Altamura body pretty well, as long as you work a bit on the appearance sliders. And I have found one full-perms clothing maker for Altamura bodies called Statura, which has great stuff which you can apply your own textures to: https://marketplace.secondlife.com/stores/135851 But there's still very little clothing out there created specifically for Altamura mesh bodies. It's a shame. Hopefully, that situation will change over time, especially as so many people picked up the free body that Altamura was giving out for the Women's Only Hunt which just ended. The freebie has full alpha slots which makes it easier to fit clothing that wasn't specifically designed for it, like Maitreya clothing.
  3. Yes, a sharp-eyed Facebook reader caught that too, and I updated the blogpost to give correct attribution to the artist. Thank you!
  4. Some thoughts on my time spent in various virtual worlds over a decade... https://sansarnewsblog.wordpress.com/2018/01/02/virtual-reality-vs-real-reality/
  5. I have both the June and Jonathan Piggu avatars and they are great. Very well-made. Absolutely no problems and there's a fair bit of clothing available for both.
  6. I looked but I couldn't find the store SLURL. Could you post a link, or send me a message? Thanks :-) I have the neck seam problem with my alts too...
  7. Looks great, Octavia! OK, I have been playing around with the free Jenny Altamura body and the free Giselle Altamura head too, and I am quite pleased with the results, so I wanted to show them off! I also found a free ballgown specifically designed for the Altamura body too. So, here's all the info you need on how you can get a beautiful fully-featured Bento mesh body avatar and head, plus outfit, hair and a Bento AO, for only L$41! 9. Yes this is good news, and a classy move on Linden Lab's part. Bravo!
  10. Late breaking news! Strawberry Singh has updated her blog to say that Linden Lab has contacted her, apologized, and had the take-down order reversed: (See 4th Update near the bottom) https://strawberrysingh.com/2017/12/13/trademark-complaint-received-linden-lab
  11. Along with Strawberry Singh, Wagner James Au, and Inara Pey, I have blogged about this too: https://sansarnewsblog.wordpress.com/2017/12/14/controversy-over-use-of-linden-labs-images-and-logos/
  12. I just picked up the Women Only Hunt 4 gift from Altamura, a complete mesh avatar body plus head. I haven't had much luck finding clothing for it, though. Are there any stores out there that specialize in clothing for female Altamura bodies?
  13. No, I was asking about the one in the white pants and hoodie picture. Thanks for the quick response! There are two free collars available at the freebie store at Ajuda SL Brasil and I have been using those to resolve any seam problems at the neck.
  14. Chic, I checked your blog and can find no mention of the collar you are wearing in your photo. Where did you find it?
  15. I also had this problem. If someone could explain how to turn them off that would be great. Thanks! UPDATE: Well, Lexxi was right.... you can turn off the freckles on the skin by clicking the blush button on the main head HUD, then clicking the OFF button. Thanks!
  16. Yes, please do report back here on your investigations! And I agree that the market for mesh avatar bodies and Bento heads is going to get VERY interesting with the freebies from Altamura and eBody an attempt by those companies to grow their market share. I fully intend to get the Altamura freebies for my female alts, and I'm sure a lot of people will do the same once they realize that they're there.
  17. I also tried out the free Altamura gift of the Giselle Bento mesh head, it's really nice! And it has more options than the head that comes with WOH4 Altamura gift full mesh body. You can even wear the Altamura body, turn off its head, hair, teeth, and eyelashes, and then wear the Giselle head, the skin tints between the body and the Giselle head match up very nicely. So for only L$40 (the cost to join the Altamura group), you get a fully-functional, fully-adjustable Bento mesh head, That's a great deal! And the 12 day Advent calendars is a bonus! I've been running my tail feathers off this past weekend hitting all the Advent calendar freebies and POE/WOH prizes! And I learned about these wonderful gifts through this discussion thread, thank you so much Lexxi, LittleMe, and Chic!
  18. Wow! I just went over to check out the free Altamura mesh body and head package...it's a sweet freebie! The feet are Slink compatible! AND you can animate the Bento hands with the extra HUD! Between the dollarbie functional versions of the eBody Classic and eBody Curvy, and now this freebie from Altamura, all of a sudden even the poorest among us can afford a mesh avatar body now.
  19. I just wanted to let people know that there are now more clothes specifically for eBody Curvy in the SL Marketplace, including this store, Curvy Babe: https://marketplace.secondlife.com/stores/192717 And a store called Tam's Trousseau also carries eBody Curvy fashions: https://marketplace.secondlife.com/stores/134076/search?utf8=✓&search[category_id]=&search[maturity_level]=G&search[keywords]=ebody+curvy Things are looking quite promising :-)
  20. Well, I am trying again with this damned head, and I *cannot* find the "Altamura: Head WOMAN HUD v0.34" HUD it mentions in the notecard and in this thread! Oh wait a minute.... if I re-rezz the box on the ground again and look inside I see it there! Why the hell it didn't unpack it in the first place is beyond me. STUPID! Also, they desperately need someone to do their English translations for them!!! So, I finally got it to work, but I'm sure a lot of other people were having problems with the unpacking of this gift.
  21. Oh, I didn't realize that it wasn't Bento! Thank you. And yes, the default makeup on the Altamura head is a bit much. If I did what I normally do, I would have deleted the box after unpacking it, assuming that I didn't need it. I'm probably going to have to pick up another copy.
  22. Well then I stand corrected. I will double-check and try it again.
  23. Also, I was not the one complaining about the L$10 group fee. That was somebody else. L$10 is nothing really, and it's a damn good deal for a Bento (adjustable) mesh head, whether or not you can change the skin tones or make-up. The hard part is trying to get into The Chapter Four sim. :-)
  24. Well, I don't know what you did that was different from what I tried to do. I loaded and reloaded the three included HUDs in the folder that got created in a script-enabled area, and none of the buttons would work. Also, I had the official customer service rep from the Altamura chat group confirm that the buttons would not work for the freebie. Maybe you were using HUDs for an Altamura head you already owned? Or did you get a pre-release freebie as a blogger that somehow was changed before it was set out at The Chapter Four event? But I couldn't get them to work and I was told that was supposed to be the case. If there is a way to change the makeup (especially that default hideous blue eyeshadow) then please let me know, thanks.
  25. OK it is free but there's a catch... none of the buttons on the three included HUDs work. They're disabled for this freebie (I confimred with the Altamura group chat CSR). So it's a lovely head, but you can't change the skin tone or the makeup at all.
