I tested for that performance in a script in my inventory and could not replicate it. I an using the standard SL viewer, Second Life 3.6.1 (278007) Jun 27 2013 12:41:07 (Second Life Release). I don't know what you mean by the slurl box, but the navigation box does not show that behavior for me. TKR

Have you filed a support ticket? That sounds like a bug in the system. Or you could make an alt and see if the alt can set search to adult. If so, the Alt could find places and send LMs to your main. TKR

Well, I think I can help on some of these things, at least if you are using the standard SL viewer First off, they revamp the viewers with this new chat box function. As a result, I now find that if there's local chat, I literally cannot type in a separate window / notecard / group chat. As soon as local chat pops up, it sucks my typing in by default. That does not happen to me. Local chat just pops up in a separate window. I am guessing that it works this way because I have all my Preferences-chat-notifications set to "Pop up the message" Hell, I can't even move when local chat pops up - it freezes up any action on the screen. I've found absolutely no way around this. If the focus of the system is on a text-input box, you have to click on the environment to move the focus back to the environment. Then location-based linking doesn't work. Meaning that if anybody links to an interesting sim, I have to log inworld, then run a search (which rarely comes up, because the search function is more like lucky dip). The location based system works fine for me, but I use it differently. If I am offered a SLurl, I copy-paste it into the location box on the login screen. Occasionally I click on the SLurl, if it is hyperlinked. That opens my viewer and takes me to the location. If my SL is already open, I usually just drag the slurl onto the viewer screen and get a LM. One thing to note: the name of a sim is not a slurl and won't work that way. And you probably will not find the name of a sim in search. (Right.. That is stupid, but that is the way it has been for the last 8 years). To find a sim by name, open your map and type the name into the search bar on the right. Then click the Find button to the right of that. And now, I find that attempting to pick up some freebies on Marketplace, I can't even do that - I get an error notice saying "Unable to amend your invoice"?? I have Lindens in my account, it's never been a problem before - I seriously can't spend Ls on MP now, or even score some 0L items? OK -- If you tell me anything about another problem with Marketplace, I will believe you. I see a lot of those problems. I have never tried to use Marketplace, so I have no direct information--and no idea how to solve the problem.

Your system is quite good and should give you good performance. It should easily run on medium graphics and higher in the advanced settings, unless you are using WiFi with a bad connection. You should not often see big delays. You should never see anything like a 10 min delay. If you are using Windows Graphics Driver Version: 9.18.0013.2049, that is probably your problem. My recommendation: Google search for Nvidea. Look for the download page. Download and install the most recent Nvidea driver for your graphics card. And never let Microsoft update (=screw up) your graphics driver. If you allow Windows updates (and I recommend that), be sure your setting does not allow updates from other sources. If that does not solve the problem, come back and ask again. TKR PS -- The common acronym for Second Life is SL. SSL has several meanings (Secure Sockets Layer to geeks).
