  1. You can reload the video page from the controls in the floating bar. I don't think there will be any way to do what you what you want with LSL. TKR
  2. Use Google to find the web site of the manufacturer. Find the download page and follow the instructions. DO NOT let Microsoft update your driver. TKR
  3. The problem is not Windows 7/64. If you have a graphics card, go to the maker's web site and update the graphics driver. DO NOT get the update from Microsoft or the laptop maker. Not much else anyone can tell you without info about your system, so if you need more help, give us the specs. This is a familiar problem, however, so someone here is likely to know the solution. TKR
  4. If you go into an adjacent parcel, the music will change to the music stream set for the parcel you entered. If no stream is set there the music you were hearing from the parcel you left will die out TKR
  5. Here are some ways you can use SL resources to find people who fit your interests: How do I meet people? 2012 TKR
  6. Give more details. Is this happening everywhere or in some location? Do you own the land? Is this happening only to you or to everyone on the land? Have you tried with another avatar? TKR
  7. I have 3 theaters on 2 sims: Cookie and Thinkerer quests I am confident that these could accomodate your shows and special events. NO CHARGE. I also have connections with several existing theater groups. Two of these are also housed on my land. I maintain two notice groups, Theater Backstage and Theater Performances. You can subscribe at Cookie center. There you click on the appropriate panels. I report on theatrical events in my blog: Performing arts in Second Life, some examples I will contact you inworld.
  8. Clearly you have not been blocked on the network. My first guess is that something has moved into the path between you and your wireless base. That could be a metal bookcase, for example. That could weaken the signal enough to bring your packet loss down to the point where SL gives up on the connection. Try moving your antenna around; you may find a place where reception is better. TKR
  9. SL notification: Grid Status' has sent you a message from Second Life: <![CDATA[[Posted 10:00 am PST, 13 February 2013] Some Residents are reporting DNS errors attempting to log in to Second Life. We’re investigating the issue. This problem may be connected with today's rolling restarts on developmental viewers. I am successfully logged in on http://maps.secondlife.com/secondlife/Cookie/124/101/22 You might try the above location. Copy/paste the above line into the start at bar on your login screen. TKR
  10. Go to the Radeon update and get the latest driver. Drivers supplied by MS (including MS update) are usually out-of-date. TKR
  11. If you need more help, see this: Open boxes, use the contents TKR
  12. I have that info in my blog: http://virtualoutworlding.blogspot.com/2012/09/kit-second-life-online-count-test.html The post tells how to access the source page. I also have this in poster form. Contact me inworld if you want a poster. TKR
  13. Here is an article about the resources you have in SL for meeting people who have interestes tht fit yours: How do I meet people? 2012 TKR
  14. That sounds like a connection problem: Router failure, modem problem, Wi-Fi, or ISP, Here are some suggestions: Login fails? Lots of logouts? Summary Troubleshoot Your #SL Connection If your SL family is widely dispersed in real geography, connecton problems are not likely. I am not seeing or hearing about such problems in SL. If problems were extensive, you would be reading about them in the forums. TKR
  15. They will not instantly boot you out. They will send you a notice and give you some time -- I don't know how long. You could put the amount into your SL dollar account in advance. In that case, they will take that money if needed. Alternatively. you can probably transfer that money in advance to your PayPal account. TKR
  16. The only thing I know is that I am using Chrome and don't have those problems. I do have to log into the forums to post a response, after I restart Windows. Then, if I check remember me on this computer, it does remember my until I restart Windows again. TKR
  17. I don't have to pretend and you don't have to pretend. I am comortably retired and spend 40 - 60 hours/week in sl or on actvities related to SL. Furthermore, I have already provided a report of the things I am attending to. See my blog: http://virtualoutworlding.blogspot.com/ TKR
  18. Here is an article that may bear on the issue. Login fails? Lots of logouts? Summary Note the Netgear issue, and the DNS alternatives TKR
  19. You need to have control of some land. See this article: Land and houses 2012 The simplest way would be to get a premium account and buy a small parcel. See this article: Second Life : Basic or Premium? 2012 You might prefer to start by making contact with the Artistic community in SL. They could help you with ways to display your art in places where it will be seen specifically by people interested in art. See this: Art done in virtual worlds Summary 2012 TKR
  20. You problably need help from the landlord if you want to subdivide. You probably can set the music stream where you rent. Open the "About land" window and try. See these articles. Streaming audio in Second Life. Shoutcast. Music stream to your land. 2012 About Land Window 2012 If you can't set the stream, ask your landlord. If you can Rez a prim, you can use a BOP. You will have to find a web page that plays the music you want. V3.2 Be sure to see the BOPs in Second Life Here are instructions on setting up a BOP: Browser on prim, advanced. Videos, calendars 2012 You should just need the quickie method TKR
  21. Not for music set on the land (via the About Land window). That applies th the whole parcel. You could divide the land into two parcels. Then you could set separate streams for each. Or you could use a browser-on-prim (BOP) for one of the streams. Here is more info: Hear/see music/video media/BOP in Second Life 2012 TKR
  22. I would not advise going into the registry unless you are familiar with that. The link I gave told how to remove Skydrive on Win 7. Crash on image download or upload, a fix Removing Skydrive is much like removing other software with the control. I did it on my Win 7, to resolve the upload/download problem. The comment from Fenimore suggests that Skydrive is not the source of your problem, so you may not want to remove it.
  23. I think you may have to remove, rather than disable, Skydrive to get past the conflict.. I had to do that to solve a related problem with Win 7 -- Crash on image download or upload, a fix TKR
  24. I am passing your request on to my Communication Arts group. That includes a number of performers, including comedy acts. I will be in touch with you about the Voice Lounge. I might do a blog about something. there. TKR
  25. You can probably get help on the first question here: Firestorm Support Island About a 2nd moon --I don't think you can duplicate the Linden-provided moon, but if you have land rights in a parcel, you can put up your own 1 prim moon there. I have moons in my inentory, so if you need one, contact me in SL Thinkerer Melville
