Someone says someone's shoulders aren't as broad as someone elses - similar outcome! I mention the word "fairy" in it's original context, and the gay's start raising eyebrows! Someone mentions a persons name who may or may not be a white woman, and the black women jump in with all the "whataboutism" bollox! I poke a bit of fun at someone wearing raw chainmail against a very hairy chest - they see their ars* (get upset) throw a sulk and decide to leave! WTF is wrong with everybody? I've been in 50% self imposed "lockdown" for 5 years now...and I'm perfectly normal ffs! 🙂 Get a grip and lighten the f*** up! In my lifetime*, the Beatles/Elvis fans got it. The mod's (scooters) and rockers (bikers) and skinheads got it. As Rudegerus said above, put "Lucybody" in the search bar in game, jump over there, slap the midnight madness board or whatever it is (it'll be directly in front of you...usually with 30 other jellydoll's lol). When another 349 people slap the board it'll send the body out to everyone. Mine came the day after but that's just when I logged in again, no idea what time it arrived....but it will. The BoM applier was 195L$ when I bought it. It's along the right hand wall as you land, towards the back.

Myself and others have attempted to help you now. You have to understand that people here are from all over the world and contrary to popular belief....they sometimes sleep! Give us all a bit of time to wake up and make coffee and we'll be as helpful as possible. 😉

Guessing, because the head skin doesn't match the body skin? You need to alter the colour of the skins in the huds to get the best match up possible (if not paying for proper skins). Also, seriously, Don't just throw clothes on willy nilly because you don't have any that fit your body! Get/buy clothes that state "for Belleza, Maitreya, slink, LEGACY....." and such. That way you KNOW there's a version in there that will fit you. Jump around stores, join their 'group' if "free", get their "group gifts", join the 'stay at home club' and get all the freebies (that fit) from their page. For more help, go on YouTube and type "second life Legacy body" into the search bar.

Fair point Marianne. I posted the video basically because i've never heard of the body and skin she mentions and hence, why she may be having problems finding clothes that fit. Thought she might like to have a go at getting an avatar with more chance, for "free", while the parts needed are still being offered. Also, as I mentioned, Naria's back catalogue of videos can be very helpful in explaining 'mesh' and especially 'BoM' if required. While there are lots of other video providers that explain things as well or better (strawberry singh's older vid's for example), I posted it as more an example of "YouTube is your friend" as a pointer. As someone who also has recently returned to SL after a LONG break, I didn't have a clue about "mesh", never mind BoM and one body, different head etc! So I just spent about 2 weeks on the tube watching everything I could about it all before diving in and now I'm a fully fledged.......average avatar builder. 😐 Videos helped me more than reading many good and helpful posts and threads here and elsewhere, just thought it might help @Hazy Frog and maybe others in the same way. (Does that help with your confusion @Sassy Kenin? lol ). Easiest thing I've found with bodies, get the free 'Lucybody'. Most Maitreya clothes fit it perfectly and cuts out much of the "clothing" hassle!

This can get you an easy free avatar (always carry a couple of L$ as some things need to pay 1L$ for, which is immediatly returned) and give you help and explanations. You can also go back through her previous avatar vid's for more help etc.

Yeah, forgot to add that part sorry. Was a while back and things are hazy, something about checking the vendor owner is the same person as the money's going to before hitting "pay" was in there.

Simple - because it works! From 'live aid', to Roma gypsies outside your local supermarket, it works and has for Centuries! Back in the UK, I once watched a beggar gain a fair amount of cash, then at the end of his day followed him 600yards to where he'd parked his BMW and drive off....probably to his nice home! I sympathize with you mate, truly, but did you really expect anything else? One of the biggest industries in SL who charge over 5,000L$ for items on average, uses the trigger word "free" for such an item....and nobody expects the world, his wife and their dog to stampede to their store on the first day? Come on! (I never saw the ad' but have heard that the other trigger word "limited" was also in there?). Sticking notices in group chat won't help much either because most of those folk probably aren't in the group and as you have to be in it to get the head, can't get in the store to join, so they won't see anything! If there's a reason I'm missing for her to want stampedes at her stores? then I apologise, but it all just seems so obvious and ridiculous to me to have done it this way! You "win" by knowing you dodged a bullet and that guy would never be "Mr Right"! 😉
