  1. Out at Cosmopolitan and SO CUTE. Color change for truck. Not sure about other things. Sorry I couldn't get a better picture. Doors of truck open. PG and A in a set. Oh I didn't check the triangles. BAD CHIC. 53K (oh my) and yes texture change for pillows and quilt Lots of texture change. I MUST "need this" LOL.
  2. Also if you are in doubt, don't put down no copy items and make back ups of your furnishing layout. This happens more than we would expect. Never to me happily. Also the more you pay for your plot and house the less likely it is it will disappear. So those 50 a week spots are often folks that are hurting for linden dollars and trying to make a bit on the side. Best to go with a large land owner or an estate (several sims) as well as a long history in the rental business. I can't tell you how many times I went to look at land to rent to find the ad sent me to land that had either been abandoned or reclaimed by LL -- so in "maintenance" :D.
  3. For many things it is better to work at a much higher resolution and then resize down to 2048 which SL will turn into a 1024. You might want to test and see if resizing down to a 1024 works better for you. A bunch of us did tests a couple of years back and found that the uploader did a better job than our graphic's programs. So it depends. Also so that you don't have noticeable seams start with the very same skin tone and THEN work on making lighter areas within the template This is especially important at the neck. And as far as I know there are some tricky things you need to do with hands and feet but since I don't make skins (or haven't in a decade) I don't know how to address that. Good luck.
  4. OK. I got another message from the person that told me it was 60 percent "now" AND they were counting the 30 percent STEAM thing which happened a very long time ago as well as Wookey taking 30 percent. So I am not sure if that is different from when I was there (as long as you have the grandfathered exchange rate still) or different. I did see a few familiar names when I just dropped by Discord but most of those folks didn't actually SELL a lot of stuff anyway. From conversations on Discord I gathered that I was one of the higher earners (certainly not the highest) and I didn't make that much there. So it appears that it isn't really a new story, just a slightly different interpretation. I never looked at it that way. Too late to change my post title :D.
  5. This isn't "furnishings" but it still seems like the best place to post it as folks over on the MESH board know about it and this thread is mostly about shopping :D. Over on the beta grid (cheering has haven't crashed yet -- knock on desk). I can't remember the last time I bought a house. I may have never bought a house actually. But for those who ARE and are tired of the very bad physics (and as a renter of many homes with lousy physics I really get that) and want to "see" what you are getting into a bit better, there is a helpful button on the Build menu that will let you see how the physics was made. This is the inside of a casita (New Mexico - Mexico traditional small house). The button circled in red is a toggle for showing the physics. with it ON you can see how closely the physics shape matches the walls, if there are areas not covered AND/OR if there are areas that are simply just wrong. You can see here that the blue shapes (the physics) closely match the walls. You can also see some white spaces. Those are the vegas (beams) that span and support the ceiling. While I could have made physics for each beam, I didn't see any reason to do that. The only issue would be if someone was jumping inside the house ("Billy, don't jump in the house - I've told you a hundred times!") and they would just barely have their head go through the beam. Anyway the next time you are looking at a house to buy or even just something large that you would like the physics to be correct (much furniture is not) then this button is your friend -- much like the ability to INSPECT something. Back to work.
  6. Well happily I still get checks from Kitely deposited automatically to Paypal (that really is NICE) so "something" is still happening over at Opensim. I guess since no one had input about the "fees" part of the equation we can assume that the fees have increased and that is why some folks have left -- Sansar that is which was the topic of this post :D.
  7. Really great jacket gift (gals and guys) at Neo Japan which is FINALLY not so full (at least at the moment).
  8. I just looked at MY celadon from the future and it isn't a good match -- or IS it. Oddly (or maybe not so much but I hadn't thought about it) that color maybe more than some others looks VERY different when looked at against a white background or against the dark taupe of my blog page. No clue on the Pantone color but here is the swatch again. Now honestly that isn't what "I" think of when I hear the word "celadon". I think of something slightly darker and a bit less vibrant -- so slightly more gray. And then again we have the Windlight (or EEP) issues that shift colors as of course we do in the real world lighting also. From my post, I used an outfit from Scandalize which often has MANY colors in the huds. To me it matches very well when seen against WHITE but not so much on a dark taupe background. So I suggest close is good enough.
  9. No Sansar forum here any longer but I am guessing there are a few folks "here" that were "there" -- for a time anyway. When I was over at Discord asking computer questions last October there were still plenty of "old-timers" (older than me and some from the very beginning) there. I did hear some months ago that there was a deadline to sign up as a "legacy" creator to keep a good Sandollars to USD exchange ratio, but since I never planned to turn in any money (and likely never log in again) I didn't care. Then I noted some returnees at the beginning of the year, and then when I went over to Discord again last weekend there was only one person that I recognized from pre- Wookey days. Now I just heard that 60% startling fact. Oh my! So I am glad I was there WHEN I was there and glad too that I left. It was obvious that it wasn't going to be the same platform after the sale. I have no reason to doubt this info but if someone knows differently, please correct my statement. No way I am logging in to do research :D. I am guessing this figure includes the exchange rate maybe as well as fees. I cashed out to Paypal for the last time right before things changed.
  10. That washstand was one of the many places that wasn't set up even close to time today - LOL. I am not going back for it, but cute. MEANWHILE - there did seem to be a lot of kitchens out this weekend. None of them were speaking to me but hopefully they were perfect for some of you guys. If not -- I wanted to let you know there is a nice kitchette from Trompe Loeil out at Uber. Not sure if it is sold ONLY with the house or can be purchased on its own. But it is very low on triangles and would work well in many linden homes. 13 land impact at this size -- 11 if you make it more "normal" sized (I am two meters tall). PS. Looks like it only comes with the house. Nice idea as it is finished on both sides and so many places you could put it within the house it was designed for. I would really like to see more PARTS of house and furniture from Trompe Loeil. Some of my long time favorites are from them. This is at FaMESHed by the way. I think I forgot that. Fractured day. Too much shopping Here it is in the house -- where "I" put it anyway.
  11. It MIGHT be that there is a limit to the number of outfits === 1024 seems like a possible development choice and you have over that. No clue if that could be it, but honestly that is WAY too many outfits :D.
  12. Yes, MOVING FOLDERS have saved me more times than one would suspect. What with inventory actually disappearing sometimes (and blogger copies have no redelivery as well as the gachas :D) coalesced objects have been very important. Now with inventory search not working (or at least not working as it should) those coalesced moving folders are even more important. I think back to "when was the last time I used [insert object here] and rez the coalesced items on the sandbox. I have found SO VERY MANY things that way. Now and then you can actually lose your coalesced backups -- so "THAT'S not good, but they certainly are another layer of security. I always hated rezzers. Did some back in my LEARN AVATAR days, but I only have one product that uses them now and that is only because it is the ONLY way it will work (giant megaprims).
  13. Just a quick note. I have been shopping ALL (except ACCESS which isn't open yet) the sales -- two hours now. Went LOTS of place and many stores don't have their items out although items are there (not on sale) OR "hidden" in that you have to do area search to find the sale items (GEEZ). Advertised gifts are not out, etc. This isn't a new phenomena but it seems worse this weekend or I picked all the wrong stores LOL. So far I only purchased one thing which (no demo) turned out to be less than wonderful but may be useful down the line. So if you head out and start pulling your hair out -- tis not YOU! Honestly this doesn't make me want to return and shop at the stores. It is just aggravating.
  14. Gachas are dangerous that way typically -- when you can't actually see what you are playing for. If I really want something and don''t know how the creator works (or sometimes the creator is OK one time and BAD the next) I usually just play once and then TEST at home and go back if things are good. Not a new problem. Now you know. You can join the LOD2 club and leave the disappearing stuff behind. Many creators have reassessed their work over the last couple of years and things are MUCH better. That's the good news.

  16. I just found a better "classic blue" so I am redoing my bid for this week -- or call it an extra.
  17. What I was warning about is linking a bunch of furniture together that is ALREADY a bunch of pieces, like this table I bought yesterday. So as an example. The table set is ALREADY made up of nine objects (the foliage is several of those). Then if you linked it to the baskets and foliage hanging above and the plants in the back corner that you can see that would be over 20 separate pieces in what we consider three objects. So if you want to move something later or remove something it can get VERY MESSY. Basically "I" never link items together unless I am on a strict prim budget and need to play the link-to-save-land-impact game. Even then I sometimes cringe because later I want to move something over "just a bit" and have to edit nine pieces in order to do that rather than just dragging the object as purchased (linked but only to itself) over. If your method works great for you, that's super and all that really matters. Just didn't want folks to start linking the whole house together (people have done this in the past) and then find out what a mess that can be :D. So yes, as far as I can see it is right, just was confusing when I was reading your post and possibly confusing to others. So maybe between both of our posts ALL WILL BE CLEAR for those not used to doing this :D.
  18. Thanks. My only important comment is that if you LINK your items rather than taking them up in a "soft linked" coalesced form you can have major problems if the furniture is made of several parts for each piece (which is often the case). So "I" still think the coalesced method is best :D. Of COURSE I DO!!! LOL. I put the link to the article I made long ago over in my blog's sidebar so it was easy to find. Here it is for anyone moving OR just wanting to back up their items (basically what the article is about). Remember that no copy items should be taken up separately in most cases (unless you are very brave) :D. https://chicatphilsplace.blogspot.com/2019/05/home-and-garden-backups.html
  19. Some weekend sale winners. YouNeed Zerkalo (surprisingly low try count) Peaches
  20. Not sure if it is still there but there use to be a chat spam blocker in Firestorm. Mostly for "objects" but it might work for this. The FS support group would know most likely. I probably turned it on many years ago and just keep using my same settings so not sure where it would be. IF you are in FS of course.
  21. Well since you are in a non-EEP viewer I guess it must be the AMD card. I thought of that but also thought that The Lab has been playing nicer with AMD graphics. Well nicer is relative I guess. There is a reason why so many of us "now" use Nvidia. I had a glorious AMD card over a decade ago. Didn't play well with SL at all. Last time I had one. Try coming over to my free art gallery. I get 72 when things finish loading. Very "light" mesh so if you are still getting 20 I am guessing it is the AMD thing. http://maps.secondlife.com/secondlife/Moon Beach/141/158/2511 Hope it works out OK for you!
