As I've already commented, I'm able to log in using an alt, but not on my main profile. It's been going on for the last 2 days. I was able to log in the first day, and was inworld for a good 3 or 4 hours before logging. I came back to it yesterday, and today and still not able to log in on the main profile with the error message everyone else has already mentioned. Here's my info:

Besides the DNS issue that had been happening some time ago, it may also be an inventory problem. File a support ticket because if the problem is your inventory, they will fix it easily.

Having this same issue. Only started today. Happens on all accounts and what ever sim I select to land at. Immediately upon clicking login, it gives me the Login failed despite out best efforts etc. dialogue box.

Tried restarting PC, rebooting router, flushing DNS, clearing cache and even reinstalling firestorm. Nothing has worked.

Edit: Theory is that LindenLabs.com is blocking my IP address for some reason? Guess have to wait for my dynamic IP to change for it to fix itself? 😩

A 'ping' won't tell you much, particularly that one.  'lindenlab.com' is the corporate website and the fronting services likely block ICMP.  Login occurs on 'login.agni.lindenlab.com' and that is responding to ICMP pings but that's not a promise.  The 'Access Denied' bit *is* useful and you may be able to take that 'Reference #' to support for help.  And it may clear on its own after some hours.

I've been having this issue for quite some time, and have spent the better part of the past two weeks trying to fix it in tandem with LL's customer support and one of the FS devs. We're going to try another solution later. Hopefully it works.

I'm currently facing the same issue. I did everything, clear cache, login to other regions. Still failed. I tried using Firestorm viewer, but failed too.

I can only login in several conditions below.

1) Use Speedlight

2) Use an older SL viewer (6.6.16.582093) that I had in an older PC

3) Login with an old account. But that only works for the first time. Subsequence login also failed.

You need to poke a hole in your firewall for the UDP incoming traffic that the viewer has to listen to.

There is a ”custom port” setting, in the viewer, allowing you to specify a given port for it: do set it to a port of your choice (*), and configure your firewall to let UDP inbound traffic on that port pass through.

---------

(*) Beware, some ISPs (e.g. Free/Illiad in France) now use (by default, i.e. unless you specifically ask them not to do it) shared IPv4 addresses between several of their subscribers, by splitting the 1-65535 ports range for this shared IP between them, so if you are in this case, make sure to use a port number in your allocated range.

Hello, the same thing happens to me, how do you handle that?

Tengo el mismo error desde hace una semana que no encuentro qué está mal en mi configuración. No he cambiado ninguna configuración, simplemente sucedió de repente.

After the first login with my firewall turned off. Subsequence login are ok with firewall turn on.

The strange thing is, I have another account which I did the first login using Firestorm viewer with firewall off. It has no issue login using Firestorm after that. But not on SL viewer. Using SL viewer, I need to turn off firewall everytime I login to that account.

Did you white-list the SL viewer in your firewall ?

How did you do that?
I'm still having trouble with the login. I have to try several times to get through.

I know it's a massive cliché and you will roll your eyes but two things

1) check your AV whitelisting
2) do it again

Oh and don't forget I made a little helper for this.

I mentioned somewhere recently how I was seeing all kinds of texture and rezzing weirdness I could not explain. Then, to my embarrassment, I discovered that when I was coding and testing the recent cache changes I made, I'd managed to not have my cache excluded. Fixing that has made things so much better.

Also, don't swap back and forth if you go back to 6.X clear your cache when you come forward again.

These might have nothing at all to do with your issues, of course, but start with those.

I still having failed login even after turning off firewall. With a few hits but mostly miss.

But I just found out I can login smoothly if I logout with low lag outfits.

Just sharing.

Hi i am facing the same Issue, but surprisingly it'sonly for 1 account, i tried others and it works any idea how to resolve this?

Attempted the link thing too but shows access forbidden

Screenshot_34.jpg

I can no longer log in to Second Life and I received the same message.

Obviously I tried all the suggestions I read here, with an old account that I restored I was able to log in, so the problem is related to nothing other than my main account, with which I tried to log in from various places without success,

I opened a ticket and I hope it will be resolved before Sunday because I have to open my SIM for a collective exhibition.

I had this issue a few weeks ago, following several attempts and doing something else for an hour I came back and tried again and logged-in without issue.

The other day it happened again. Repeatedly I could not log-in on this account or another well used account. However, I could log-in repeatedly with a much lesser used account with far less inventory. On all attempts I tried different locations but using those same locations with both the successful accounts and the non-successful ones.

I cleared my local cache and the problem disappeared and I could log in successfully on any account. Now, some might say that wouldn't make a difference, but for me it did.

On Windows 11 the local cache I deleted was located here and there was a lot of it (around 18GB)
