Ive never had chutney. I’ve never seen it on a shelf & I just searched my grocery store online & it all has 2-3 day delivery so it must be special order. I bet it’s good! I read the ingredients for yours. I would probably eat it with a spoon. I love to buy apple butter (not really a butter) in the fall & will eat it out of the jar. ProNutro is served with milk and is creamy. It has the odd characteristic of absorbing the milk over short periods of time, so that you eat it fast or continuously add milk to it until it is gone. The flavor is somewhat unique—neutral but pleasant, and it is packed with vitamins and if eaten in the morning wil carry you through till later afternoon. chuntney is the ubiquitous condiment in South Africa—like ketchup but with a kick. Mrs balls is made from fruit like a preserve. It is sweet,- but it also has a mild spicy kick. The flavors are sewn together with a vinegar base that explodes in your mouth:sweet sour, savory, spicy. I’m not sure what fruit in in mrs balls chutney. Certainly sultans, maybe appricots? Mango chutney is pretty common in South Africa, so maybe that’s what’s in there? It’s the type of condiment (like ketchup) that accents already great dishes, or you can put on food you are not fond of and bury the flavor under a chutney mask. 3

I think you could narrate a food show! Very descriptive! I make chicken with strawberry preserves & pickled jalapeños. I wonder if it would be considered a chutney?

I wonder if it would be considered a chutney? If not, it’s close to the same idea. Although the chutney I’m familiar with is South African Indian, chutney in India is very broad and varied and if it contains fruit, sweet, savory, spicy in a vinegar compote it’s called chutney. I once had a peanut chutney that was thrilling, a new and unexpected flavor experience.

SlammedSam
Well, there is one thing I've heard of, called a "Fluffer nutter burger", which is pretty much peanut butter and marshmallow creme on a hamburger. Recently tried one, and I must say it was a rather interesting flavour profile. Of course, I don't recommend having too often, lest one's heart protest it quite vehemently.
Rat Luv
I followed this recipe last winter...it is LUSH I like to add more red bird's eye chillis, though...and I agree that chicken stock works better! I like honey on fried chicken etc, but I’m not sure about marshmallows on a burger…. But I might like it cause it can’t be too differ3nt than the honey! TheDarkhand
I only eat meat a few times a week, and I mix my diet with plenty of vegetarian and vegan meals. (though I hate those titles) so tonight, we have Diablo turmeric root smoked tofu, fried corn on the cob, and onion rings. Take a block of tofu. Rub it with franks hot sauce and roll it in a spicy BBQ rub of your choice. Shred 2 turmeric roots, brush the tofu again with Franks Hot sauce after coating the tofu with the shredded turmeric root. Smoke for 2 hours at 90C or until you see the color below. If you make this for a friend or guest please do not smoke this in any type of smoker or grill you have cooked meat in. It will absorb the seasoning of the grilled meat and not be to their liking. I have a smoker that is plant base only. It's a little green egg and works wonderfully for vegan foods. Bree Giffen
I recently got a bread machine and made a nice loaf of wheat bread. I cut a slice of bread that was really thick and another that was really thin. Then I made a weird looking grilled cheese sandwich.
