Perhaps something like llDamageRay which would cast a ray and deliver damage. That would allow you on the receiver's end to get to the point of intersection.

I use free hosts all the time, but I find them to have limits or downtimes, and PHP changes lead to me updating scripts, I wanted to make something without HTTP use. I have found if a region has 50/80 RPers all HTTP every few from their HUDs the performance of the sim for the lag is bad, to the point I can not have fun, we tested an HTTP system I made with 65 people and then the llLinksetData, and the difference in the performance of the sim was night and day.

I love this, I like to make RP systems, but I do not sell much and I do not have the ability to rent hosting and buy domains atm, So when llLinksetData came out I have been making auto attach RP systems making my own database with linksetdata, I have a current system with an MMA fighting system built into it, it is an MMA gym RP system, tracks all win and lost fights and has a basic stat system. I am at 119 users with still 113k still open to hold many many more, If I move the gym the data goes with me never a worry of losing all the stats, an other uses in HUDs for just holding data and sharing between multi scripts is just amazing tool, make sure you're using this new tool! I do not like to type; I always use voice when working on building projects; when I collab with people, I have a voice-only rule as I just do not have time to take part in people's roleplay on wh they pretend to be in SL if we making a build for an event or to sell on MP. If I am just out in an RP sim or a place I have been invited to, I turn off voice unless people post to use it, respect people's SL RP, and am more than happy to play along. I have never seen it used very much in clubs or RP sims; on the rare occasion, if invited to a person's home, I noticed they have a voice on.

Not that SL is part of a problem, but overall any business like the 3rd party that handles payouts for SL are under all new regulation, if your in the USA you might want to speak to a CPA if your taking over 500 a month out of SL, you need to pay tax on it with the new regulation slipped into the last round of budget request for the FED.

So I have a small city that is 1/4 sim, in the city I have a FREE street fighting system, the tracks fight wins, coin, quest points. Every month I planned to give out a 5,000L prize for best monthly street fighter(only been open a week), we have live music every month and live Horror story readings for a hour (free to attend shows) I do not charge a single L$ accept if you buy something in my shop (you choose to buy, no rules stating you have to), basically I have a small attraction to help promote my shop. Some guy sends me a IM and been stocking me in IM day and night claiming I am breaking SL gaming rules, gaming rules state what I am doing is simply giving away L$ as a gift as there no pay to play happening. If you make a game and it is free to play and you wish to give out a prize of L$ or things you build that in not gambling. But I have been wrong in the past, I emailed support and they said I was not breaking a rule either. Do you think I am breaking a rule? Because now I have a 2nd person making this claim, and stating email is clueless and if LL came there I be shut down and banned.

It's a love-hate; my MP has its days but overall slow. Shopping events.... love them or hate them, it's the difference between me making my cost and cashing out a monthly amount for my time or not doing them and being happy with just making in world expenses. The market will correct itself, and let's remember only a very few these days get on that website, and you can add an extra 5000k a year in events without website sponsoring. What I hate, most of the events are run by people who can not build; they dictate the rules, makeup ***** like ...5,000; if you are late, we won't be holding the doors for you; we now get to make more money off your hard work. I like to add the monopoly (against toss) that site and most the large event companies are all run by the same two people; they use alts as their "partners" in other events companies. One thing I have done to help my in world, I stopped having a shop, I have attractions. Atm I made "the Shadow over Inssmouth 2022" the town from the HP Lovecraft stories; what if Innsmouth was still there in 2022. I put in great detail, so it is photo-friendly and hide-free gifts all over the place. Now I am making an interactive NPC system that will allow people to solve quests while visiting innsmouth. I never visit shops in world, why would anyone else be my mindset. It has been a new passion and keeps me in an in-world location for demos. I keep my sales stuff outside the city to not junk up my fun with marketing. I also drop the sim and just rent land I know I can afford if sales slow, to many go full sim for just a shop and drive them to try to host their own events in hopes to earn the sim cost.

In 2018 I bought an entire mainland region from SL auction, opened a whole sniper city, free gun lots of targets to hit, live music events, Top sniper L$ contest...nothing in 2019 I said phuck it and bought a private island from LL, 300 down, 229 a month. The same thing happened on traffic and sales, except I was lucky. The owner of Bespoke loved the sims look so much he moved his shop there and offered to buy it off me and take over the payments when he saw I was thinking of abandoning it. There is no resale in private unless grandfather, and he was a friend being kind and understanding to my heartbreak, it did not work out. I am lucky to have good SL friends (shout out to Mud, owner of Bespoke) I can say a 10k ad does no better than a 1k ad these days; you are on the first page in high rankings with 500L add is the truth. In 2007/09 I worked for a sex bed maker as a script developer, he had a 300k a week add, back then to get on page 1of a add search was a minim of 30k, back then adds work and it was not uncommon to see 500k L adds, for a week.... I have been making and selling products in SL for 15 years, What I run into is the only way I can make this worth my time invested is I have to do shopping events and many of them. MP is a sea of gacha resellers and 12-year-old products. No matter what I offer on my land (hunts, live music, DJ events), I gain no solid sales at my shop to constitute renting land and hosting an in-world location. I am going shop free for the first time in 15 years soon; why shell out cost? I build things under 15 prims max, so I do not need much land to build. My free SL home (I have an annual account) is fine for my building needs. What would solve all this? I doubt anything; this platform is 20 years old and has stability issues that drive off new players. I keep my eye on the classified ads; there is a prominent vendor that removed her 30k a week ad, which she had for years. However, her shop is still there, so I can only think it is not paying off anymore. That was a big sign for me; my sales have struggled to maintain consistency since 2017. So now I track my hours and cost and hope I have a good month and get into the significant shopping events. I am a script developer, so I am lucky I can collaborate with others and get % commissions on shopping event sales as many are not taking new designers, and I'm limited on what I can sign up for.

I noticed you do not feel very safe in SL from a few of your post, concerns of people knowing what your camming, hacker teleports, I would say SL must not be for you. I been here 15 years, my identity, banking, PayPal or IP have never been stolen or any of that.

there is no such system "your muscle memory knows how frequent is frequent enough to not trigger a teleport" it's either on or off setting, there is no built in system timing every single SL players clicking times.

Yes, I do have my RL image in my profile. I have nothing to hide here. I SHARE anything I do in SL with my friends and family on my RL Facebook. For example, in 2016, I met my now RL wife in SL. Her attraction was my RL image in my profile and my openness with people outside of SL what I do here. My attraction was the same with her. She is an SL live singer and shared her RL Facebook via her profile. But I think this is up to the user and no judgment if you do not. I will add, I would not like my daughter to show her RL image; a person could find her location and do wildly bad things.

100% legal, that is what keeps SL alive, is the people chasing the L$ dragon, you remove that aspect the grid would have close long ago (but personably feel the end is soon) the day they pull the transfer of L$ to USD you can kiss the grid, for the most part, goodbye. When people tell me the tails of their cashouts, I look at what they have. If they have an owned private region(not rented), they invested 300$ set up fee and 100$ activation costs ( I just did this in March). 229.00$ a month after(279.00 if you have VAT) to LL for maintenance and hosting, around 30,000 L$ = 100 US dollars. I have to earn at least 100,000L$ monthly to cover owning a region, my MP adds, upload costs, and VAT before I can cash out. It is easy to see who is BSing about their cash-outs when you do the math. Perfect example, I know a new mesh head maker. I built a HUD for his mesh heads. He has 0 building skills, and this man can not pack a box without help and still Fing it up somehow. He pays a 3rd party for his mesh content. Not long ago, he decided to be a showoff and sends me a screenshot of two months of his sales off his SL account, impressive in numbers until you do the math on his cost (I know what he pays), he earns half of what he is spending. He just took over a sim adding an easy 100k L$ to his monthly cost. Some people chase that L$ dragon into personal RL financial ruin. I had to discontinue being a contributor to his ruin, I tried to explain to him he was losing a battle, but they never listen....

I only eat meat a few times a week, and I mix my diet with plenty of vegetarian and vegan meals. (though I hate those titles) so tonight, we have Diablo turmeric root smoked tofu, fried corn on the cob, and onion rings. Take a block of tofu. Rub it with franks hot sauce and roll it in a spicy BBQ rub of your choice. Shred 2 turmeric roots, brush the tofu again with Franks Hot sauce after coating the tofu with the shredded turmeric root. Smoke for 2 hours at 90C or until you see the color below. If you make this for a friend or guest please do not smoke this in any type of smoker or grill you have cooked meat in. It will absorb the seasoning of the grilled meat and not be to their liking. I have a smoker that is plant base only. It's a little green egg and works wonderfully for vegan foods.

with my sim payment and account I pay 3,400 USD a year, if you buy land (from LL not rental) and take part of the economy and pay for account that alone would help 10000x, over free accounts and novel ideas asking others to shell out more seem fruitless. They will expand marketing with more income, that is how a business works.

top product is not filter by what you look at, it's the top selling products on marketplace plain and simple in the order of sales not by the users interest, it can be filter by rating but as stated I set my MP to all 3..
