For example shape looks even nice on pic,but costs more than 200L,but when you buy it, face looks ok, but body is awful.

as for all/most things that are for sale ... if there's no demo, don't buy it.
Doesn't solve the "why" but prevents the "awful"

A demo should be unusable  for all purposes other than demo, until you buy the actual product. How is it supposed to be done on a shape asset? a demo version means give the shape away for free, so at that point you wouldn't buy it, you'd just walk away with the shape and bye bye creator :)

actually you can indlude ridiculously long arms and make it "No mod" ... but that could drive away customers who cannot read...

my alt has a shape store, he offers two demos for each shape, no mod, one for the head with absurd body, and one for the body with disformed head.

It's the only way to prevent a instant copy of the product.

No mod yes. I wanted to say that some creators uses photoshop too much on pics. faces are ok. but body is a big NO

you forget the influence of skins, for shape pics thats not less important. .. and you will only get the result as shown if you really use the recommended skins/appliers. If not.. simply run. And if you want to use your own skins/appliers, use the demo wise.. you can see all on it already.

even dont understand why someone should buy a shape, creation is really simple also for newbies and the prices are ugly

it's not only the shape you buy, it's the total look including stylecard, it's pretty normal you pay for it, not saying that 1k is a good price for that, but around the value of one/a few dollars is quite reasonable. Most shapemakers do have to buy the skins/hair etc themself to make a look , some mark up is not to much asked.
