Well, you could...

1. Use tactical nuclear weapons to take out Gurgle HQ, bringing an end to SpewTube vloggers, then hit the HQ's of Arsebook and Splatter, and other unsocial web media.

2, Sabotage the networks used by the SonTendSoft PlayCube-2 Gamer Fans.

3. Abolish Skype by an international convention.

4. Shoot anybody who claims that they have some hella-kewl idea that LL can implement to raise interest in SL just by [insert demand to pander to arrogant ignorant juvenile web-entitlement asshat minority clique here].

5. Propose charging the majority more money to subsidise the clueless freaks in point 4.

Hmmm...

Let's not and say we did...

Hmmm why worry if Second Life is popular or not? As long as it is bringing in an acceptable profit for Linden Labs, it is not going anywhere. That spike in use back around 2007 was when SL was being featured on then popular TV shows. Now, SL has been round long enough that it is not deemed newsworthy except when someone does something very odd or deplorable in RL due to their involvement in SL ... like the couple in Texas who neglected their RL children because they were busy in SL, or the woman who stalked and planned to kidnap her SL ex boyfriend. That chart, for what it is worth, shows SL activity on the rise a wee bit.
