I said sure, and he sent me a tp link. The link didn't have any recognizable place name, it looked like a person's last name. My Spidey sense started to tingle, and I told him I had some RL stuff to do and logged off. Could this have been some sort of a scam? It may have been a link to his land or some place he likes to go for the romance.. From working in the clubs for a few years,it was pretty common to get offers like that a lot.. Why dose every thing have to be a negative in SL these days, " It's a scam", " hacked link.." ! What if the dude has money and bad friend making skills ? Why not talk to the person,explain you rather not tp away and rather pop a squat and get to know a little about each other. Yes the world is full of scammers , but It is also full of sad people with lots of money just looking for friendship! The only way they know how to get it is to pay for it...sad but true..... God kills puppies and babies with out remorse.....but if he magic drop you 4k USD just becasue "He like you" you would not question it!! The way most "phishing" schemes work is by presenting you with a page that asks you to enter your Log In name and password. Bu that is a risk any where / any time you are surfing the web. If your AntiVirus is up to date it should catch it. The more likely scenario is it would have taken you to a phishing page. Some folks are a little too paranoid. If money just appears in your SL account because somebody decided to pay you - smile and enjoy it.
