  1. 1. To change your skin, you need to buy (or create) a new one. Pink Fuel has a free skin for avatars under 30 days old. It's worth picking up; her skins are very high quality. To change your shape, right-click your avatar and choose "edit," then mess around with the sliders. Personally, I buy a shape with a face I like, because the face is the hardest to edit - it has the most sliders and requires the most fine-tuning. I adjust the body from there, and make minor adjustments to the face. As time goes on, I tweak some more; my shape now looks very little like the original! Just make sure any shape you buy is modifiable. For a couple of good starter shapes, this set is great to get a good idea of proportion, and this one is an excellent guide to standard sizes, which is helpful for fitting into mesh clothing. 2. Reshaping clothing is possible only with sculpt/prim attachments, which, while stilll available, are often - though not always - a bit out of date. Most clothing has moved to rigged mesh, which isn't adjustable. The second link above, with shapes for standard sizes, tells you what shape sliders need to be adjusted to fit into mesh clothing, and to what numbers. (You don't have to use one of those shapes; you can adjust your own.) 3. (And also the second half of 1.) If you don't yet know how to unpack boxes, check out this link. If you ever wear an object and end up toting around a bag or a billboard, you need to unpack it to find your items. To add an object, just right-click it in your inventory and choose Add. Not Wear; Wear will replace anything you're already wearing on that attachment point. Add just...adds it on, so you can, for instance, wear both a mesh hand and a ring on the same hand. To add a layer - like a tattoo, which most make-ups are, or system layer clothes - do basically the same thing. 4. I looked this one up. It basically looks like it turns SL into something a bit like the Sims. Which is fine, but I'd hold off until you've figured out some other stuff, first. The last thing you need to is "die" of starvation while trying to figure out how to put on clothes. It's a lot of information, and this is just the (possibly confusing, sorry) tip of the iceberg. Feel free to message me inworld, if you'd like. Good luck!

  3. Just the armor. The hair looks a bit outdated to me. You can try messaging the creator of the outfit and asking where it's from, but if it is older, it may not available anymore, or they may not remember where it's from. Still, perhaps someone else will know where to find something similar. For eyes, something like this, perhaps? https://marketplace.secondlife.com/p/Black-Demon-Eyes/1958821 There are others, but those came up first on my search, and have great reviews.
  4. Try this website: http://meshbodyaddicts.com There are a number of reviews there for both bodies and heads. Not all of them are available on the marketplacce - check them out inworld, and pick up demos, so you can try them on before you commit! Best is very subjective. I haven't yet found a mesh head that I like 100%, so I don't use one. I like the Maitreya Lara body; you might not. Again, pick up demos and try them on, compare and contrast, and see what works for you.
  5. Can a parcel be not entirely Adult? There are several ways a parcel can be partly Adult and partly Moderate: Mixed content in a public area: for example, a store that sells a variety of items, some of which are adult in nature, but those are not advertised explicitly or provided for public adult usage on the parcel. This would require a Moderate rating. Mixed public and private use of a parcel: for example, a store at ground level which only sells non-adult items, and a private skybox above with restricted access (as described above), which contains sex furniture. The landing point is at the ground level store only. This would require a Moderate rating. Mixed use by time: for example, a parcel that is normally a private residence, but occasionally advertises an adult event. This would require an Adult rating. If on Moderate land, the event must not be advertised and must be kept behind closed doors. So, short answer: If you'd like to make your sim Moderate, you can, BUT you must restrict access to the underground areas. Not just hidden - actual restricted access, private group members only. It's best not to go by what others do; lots of people break the rules, and may not get reported for a variety of reasons, so they get away with it. If you'd like to stick within the rules, the second bullet point above tells you how.
  6. I'm sorry. This is the Answers forum, where you can come if you have a question about how things work inworld. If you'd like to make friends, try the regular forums; you'll get more responses from other people who'd also like to make friends.
  7. If you're asking "Will the M3 head work with either the Kemono or Avatar 2.0 bodies?" the answer is yes - to both, I believe. I've not used 2.0 personally, but I know for a fact that the M3 will work with the kemono body. If you meant something else, please clarify. Your title does not say it all. In fact, it barely says anything. We have to infer what you meant to ask. --||-
  8. Rolig is correct - you definitely may not turn your Linden home into a shop. What you may do, however, is this: Abandon your Linden home. Find and purchase a 512sqm parcel on the mainland. The purchase price will be refunded to you, and as long as you do not own a Linden home or any other land, your tier fee will not increase. You may rez (almost) anything you like on this land, as long as it fits within the borders of the land itself. The largest downside - at least in my opinion - is that any building you rez counts against your 117 prim alotment, whereas your Linden home does NOT count against the prims the land holds.
  9. Good, reputable sellers almost always offer demos for hair, skin, shapes, and mesh clothing. On the Marketplae, these items will usually be labelled DEMO and cost $0L. Inworld, once you've purchased the item and are trying it on, it will usually be marked in some way as a demo to prevent people from wearing the free version around and never actually buying the item. Skins, for instance, often have the word DEMO printed prominently on the skin itself in several places. Shapes may have exceptionally large hands and feet. Things like that. Once you've found something you like, buy the full version and delete the demo version from your inventory by right-clicking and choosing "delete." Don't forget to empty your trash every now and again! Items in your trash can be restored if you decide you need them after all, so they're still technically in your inventory. They don't fully go away until you empty the trash, much like the recycle bin on a PC.
  10. I just calmly tell people that I'm wearing a mesh body, so my clothes haven't caught up yet; but please let me know in a few minutes if they're still not showing, in case of funky SL failures. Chances are LL would do precisely nothing. They are, after all, aware of the limitations of their own system. As someone else said, if you showed up with explicitly sexual intentions or with obviously sexual items attached, there might be a problem. Just nudity? Probably not. Might have just been a friendly warning. I've done that before, and had people do it to me.
  11. The only way to prevent people from entering entirely is to put up ban lines. You can do this under "About Land" when you are the owner of the land. They're not very attractive, though. To put up a security orb, first you must buy a security orb. There are tons out there. which more or less work the same way. Pick one. I find having one with a highly adjustable radius works best - you want it to affect all or most of your land, but ONLY your land, so you want something with enough customizable settings to do that well. Usually it works best in the center of your land. To use it, consult the instructions for whichever one you buy.
  12. The Utilizator anime heads are mostly for use with one of the Utilizator bodies. The presets work perfectly with the presets for their bodies, and skin creators who make for them usually make *specifically* for them. It's not really intended to be worn with any other body. (Although I won't be surprised when someone chimes in and says they've gotten it to work perfectly. That's not really what it's designed for, regardless.) Even 1000L is low for a mesh head. The amount of work that goes into them is HUGE, so the price is high to match. The only head I know of that is under 1000L is the EVE head from Absolut Creations, which is 875L and doesn't have many appliers that I'm aware of. Most are between 2500L and 5000L. Mesh Body Addicts is an awesome blog that includes reviews of both bodies and heads, along with tons of other stuff. Check there to see some of the major heads on the market. Genesis Labs isn't on there, as far as I know. They have some GORGEOUS heads, which until recently were only available in gachas. Looks like that may have changed! I'm still not sure how many appliers are out there for them, sadly, but they are amazingly pretty.
  13. Prokofy Neva wrote: All shoe alphas are in fact shirts. Actually, alphas are more like tattoos. They can affect ANY area of the body, from head to toe! Used to be you were allowed up to five of any system layer, which is what an alpha really is - just a system layer. That may have increased, but I don't think it's decreased, so you can use up to five alpha layers - in your case, then, one for your shirt and one for your shoes should be no problem at all. Just make sure you're clicking "Add" instead of "Wear" - "wear" will replace any other alphas you're already wearing. You can also create your own custom alphas, to save space or correct for an alpha that isn't very well made. I've heard it's not terribly compicated, although I haven't done it myself. Therefore, you could make an alpha that hides both your feet and your torso, and only need to wear that one alpha to wear both your shirt and your shoes. It's not really necessary, as mentioned above, but it can be done.
  14. If your AO does not include a way to turn off the sound, but is modifiable, you can try looking for and removing whatever in the contents is causing the sound. Make a copy first. If you cannot make a copy, I don't recommend trying this at all. You may have to rez the AO to edit it. Do so, then right-click and choose "edit," go to the contents tab, and look for anything likely to cause that sound. If you can find it, delete it. Take the AO back, wear it, and fall off of something. If you don't hear the noise, hurrah! It worked. If you still hear the noise, delete that copy of the AO, make another copy from the original, and try again. First, however, to avoid extra work, take off your AO completely. Fall off of something. If you hear the noise, your AO isn't the problem. If you don't hear the noise, try the steps above.
  15. Sure. You'd have to transfer the items to her, I believe, so she can list and sell them. Better make sure you trust her, though. If you ever break up or have a falling out, there could be some major problems.
  16. I have the opposite wish: I would love to be able to click and see ONLY mesh clothing, rather than system or applier-based clothing. It's not likely to happen, though, since - as mentioned - most newer clothing has at least mesh PARTS, if it's not outright full mesh. Still, I find wading through to be a minor annoyance, at worst, and actually helpful at best since I sometimes find things I like while searching for something else. If you have a thought-out proposal, you can also put your suggestion on the JIRA, which is for bugs and suggested features. Not sure how much support you'll get, but if it's important to you, you can try.
  17. The honest truth is that there ARE freebies out there, and some of them are really good freebies, but when you have such specific needs as "I want to look like X character from Y game/movie/TV show that is probably under copyright anyway and the items need to be free," your options go from moderately limited to almost nonexistant. Someone already mentioned FabFree, which I will not link because, again, it already has been linked. As that person said, there are far more options for women than for men, but there ARE options, so look there. Are you likely to find things that will have you looking exactly like that character? No. Are you likely to find some lovely things to make yourself a unique, good-looking avatar of your own? Absolutely yes. When you shop for freebies on the marketplace, check for the word DEMO in the name or description of the item. Demos are usually free and almost never intended to be worn around long-term. They're just to check if you like the product, so you can then buy the usable version. Try Linden Realms for some fast(ish) cash, and/or look for a job inworld. The demand for "unskilled" labor is rather low, but you may find something.
  18. Happy almost-Rez Day! I use Vista almost exclusively for AO's, but they ARE on the expensive side - around $1700L for the newer ones. For something a bit less so, Oracul are usually very good, and a good price, as well. Vista does have a basic male AO for $1L. Four stands and one each walk, run, sit, and ground sit. Very nice animations, but you may find yourself wanting a bit more variety.
  19. The easiest way to find missing items that are attached to you in some way is to edit them. Right click the item name in your inventory, and choose "Edit." That should highlight the item on your screen, and the arrows that usually appear when you edit an object should center on where the "missing" HUD is. From there, you can figure out how to fix whatever went wrong, either by moving it back to where you can see it, rotating it back so that it's facing you, or - after exiting out of the edit screen - clicking on it to maximize a minimized HUD. If, for some reason, the item is not highlighted or the edit arrows do not appear, there's clearly something more wrong than we suspect. Detach the HUDs and rewear them from their original folders instead of the link in your outfits; and if that doesn't work, try unboxing and wearing a fresh copy, if you have the box still. If you don't, see if you can get a redelivery.
  20. Pics or it didn't happen. :smileywink: In all seriousness, though, pictures are very helpful to figuring out these problems, so we can get an idea of exactly what's going on. Barring that, it could be a connection problem. Try INCREASING your graphics, rather than decreasing. Slide up to medium and see if it helps. Check the physics setting, in particular: somewhere in your preferences is a little slider for physics effects, and if it's too low or all the way down, you won't see physics. Also with low graphics, you sometimes won't get local lights, which would disable your "face lamps." Check the local lights box. I'm not inworld to find exactly where all these things are, but they're in your graphics preferences somewhere, I believe. (BTW, face lamps/face lights aren't really encouraged. Unless your light is very dim, the rest of us tend to see you as a walking flashlight. Changing your windlight settings is a better alternative, although it only affects how you see yourself, not how others see you.)
  21. Applier = scripted doohicky - usually a HUD - that contains textures specific to whatever it's made for, and a script that communicates with the mesh part it's made for to put those textures on that mesh part. If you don't have the mesh part, obviously there's nothing for it to communicate with, so nothing happens. FIRST, pick your boobs. (Or your body, if you'd rather go the full-body route.) Most offer demos, except Lola mesh breasts, which do not. I suggest Sinful Needs, as they have a wide variety of shapes and sizes and are compatible with Lola Tango skin and clothing appliers, which are the most popular. There are also the aforementioned Lola breasts, along with Puffy, Lush, and others I'm sure I'm forgetting. A few key things to look for: 1) Lola Tango compatibility. As I said, Tango appliers are the most readily available, and therefore many mesh breast creators have made their boobs work with those appliers. That's good, because you'll get a much wider variety of skins and clothing to choose from. 2) Fitmesh. Fitmesh = mesh that responds to the regular shape sliders, so you can, to an extent, make them bigger or smaller just by adjusting the usual breast slider in Edit Shape. Lola Deliqc breasts are fitmesh, most of Sinful needs breasts and fitmesh, and really any of the more "modern" boobs should be, as well. 3) Shape. Size you can change; shape you cannot, so pick something you can deal with. Demo as much as you can, to find the shape that's right for you. 4) Skin. Does your skin creator offer appliers for mesh breasts? If not, you'll never get a perfect skin match unless you change your skin entirely to one that DOES have appliers. Omega Body Appliers won't help you; they're for mesh bodies that have Omega compatability, not just for boobs. Putting them on is easy. Once you've bought them - or bought the demos for them - unbox if necessary, and then add the properly labelled item from the folder. It's just like any other attachment, really.
  22. It's unlikely that it's gone forever; just for now. Hide your arms by clicking the "Arms" button, then click "Show All." If that doesn't work, try removing the body and HUD and putting it back on; and if that doesn't work, relog. If NONE of those work, try Maitreya customer support inworld.
  23. Mesh feet have more or less taken over the shoe market. They're easy to use, they look nice, and since you can buy appliers for them, they're much easier to skin match than prim feet. Step one is to demo the feet to see if you even like them. You'll have to look inworld for the demo. Step two, if you've decided you like them, is to check to see if your skin creator makes appliers for them. This will give you a near-perfect skin match, no guesswork. If they do, buy them; if they don't, you might want to look around for a new skin. (You CAN manually match your feet, but it's much more challenging and gives a much less perfect match.) Step three is to go ahead and buy your feet! As you've noticed, there are three heights. I have all three, personally, which I switch around for different outfits. There are more shoes available for the high feet than any others, but you can find cute sandals and sneakers for the flat feet, or go barefoot without looking odd. To go back to your old feet, just take off the Slink feet! (And the alpha you have to wear with them, to hide your regular feet.) Boots often don't use Slink feet at all, anyway.
  24. LibertinaValkyria wrote: The only problem with it is that since its apparent clientelle is furry avi users The "Anthro" in the name probably should have given that one away. The reason Amethyst suggest a different mesh body is that, even with unrigged feet, you may and likely will still have problem finding shoes that fit. Shoes for non-rigged feet usually fall in two categories (unless the foot creator also makes shoes for them): boots, or prim shoes with feet included. You said that wasn't what you wanted, so you're likely to encounter a problem even with your unrigged foot find. Brazilia Doll has a similar shape on the bottom, although the breasts are drastically larger. If you don't like the large breasts, you could also try buying a mesh "booty" - butt, hips, and legs, no top or feet. They were very popular before mesh bodies, less so now, but there may still be one or two available. (If there are, they're probably also from Sking, I think). The Doll body is around $2000L; the booty would presumably be less. Whatever you decide, I wish you luck. ETA: I forgot to mention the Kemono avatar. It's main clientele is also furry avatars, but it has built-in human skins and feet. You can find shoes made for those feet, or mods to make them work with Slink shoes; and there are also mods to upsize the hips to something closer to what seems to be your preference. Here's a quick link to a MP store with lots of those mods, but there are others, as well. (Also, it's cheap - the base avatar is $999L.)
  25. Skins are more than plentiful. Explore this list for skin designers that make appliers either for Maitreya specifally or the Omega system. There are tons, and it gets bigger all the time. Also...Doesn't Belleza have Omega appliers for their skins? If they do, you CAN wear a Belleza skin with the Maitreya body. Pick up the Omega relay for Maitreya (I think it's this one, and I believe you can buy it cheaper inworld, but it's not that expensive either way) if you don't have it already, buy the Omega applier for your chosen Belleza skin, wear the relay, wear the applier, click the appropriate buttons, cross your fingers, and it should - in theory - work. Personally, I use Pink Fuel, because I think they're absolutely gorgeous and amazing and detailed and I just can't recommend them enough, but if you're a die-hard Belleza fan, don't give up yet! Try the Omega relay, and see if it works. ETA: I was curious, and I forgot I bought a Belleza skin and applier ages ago, so I tried it. They DO have Omega appliers, and they seem to work just fine.
