  1. Yes to this (no name pun intended 🙂). I'd be surprised if they do that, but it would be nice.
  2. Thanks. I would add though that they said that the announcement would be made in March - that doesn't mean they'll be offereing it March:) Somehow I don't think they'll be offereing bigger parcels in the new themes - I think that could be challenging in a number of ways. If they do though that would be a pretty super extra. I think it will be more along the lines of more stipend, more prim allowance, free name changes or something like that. But who knows. Nice to know it's coming soon(ish) though.
  3. Saw this at the Sinner's Store - it's a free group gift (very generous in my opnion), and might be nice for those with Fantasy Homes...they have some other free gifts too worth looking at, plus interesting wall decor.
  4. I agree with some of this in that the majority of residents probably haven't actually read the covenant - it's not the first thing you think of doing when getting a home, no matter how much LL might like it to be. @Abnor Mole @Patch Linden I'm not sure why LL couldn't have some kind of function whereby when you first go to your LL home after having got it through the Land Page, a large pop-up box comes on the screen showing the covenant which you can only close by having to confirm by a button/tick box that you have read and understood it. Have the first few lines in caps and bold saying something to effect of 'you can't add to or modify this home' which might make people read on (I'm sure LL would have a better sentence). I'm not talking about whether or not the covenant is fair or open to interpretation - just that not everyone may be aware of it. It probably wouldn't be a 100% solution to preventing out of covenant builds (nothing is ever 100%), but at least it would make everyone aware that rules for the homes exist. Sure, someone might just not read it and tick the box anyway ( but then they can't complain about builds being returned they've said they understood). And again, they've been made aware that there are rules in place. I can't see how else to get the covenant across to everyone. Perhaps it's too technically difficult to do?
  5. Wow, I can't believe it's been nearly 4 years already since the new homes were first released. Feels like yesterday! I wonder if they'll do anything special for the Belli 3rd anniversary. I can't remember if it was celebrated last year. Maybe there'll be an event at the Fairgrounds.
  6. Ahh, okay, thanks. Yes the Sergood map is useful - I saw the names on there but couldn't figure out why it's not inworld yet. Maybe SL inworld maps are still a bit borked.
  7. I don't get why my map inworld doesn't show the names for me - I thought maybe next day the map would update, but it's 00:32 SL time now and still showing the old SSP numbers:( How do you manage to see map updates so quickly? I'm using Firestorm.
  8. Beautiful interior, thank you for creating this for the community:)
  9. I think there's more themes than that coming - Patch said in an interview that there were going to be more themes than originally intended. He didn't say how many exactly, but it sounded liike quite a few. I think the next one will be a Asian style to replace the first gen Asian.
  10. I think this is a tricky subject for LL and residents. Personally I wouldn't be offended by this. The main building theme is still retained - it just the sign that stands out, but I don't mind it compared to other things I've seen that look really out of place. I think it's fun and think it would be a shame to see this type of community minded spirited squashed in Bellisseria. I really appreciate all the little faux business places that residents create free of charge for other residents to enjoy. I'd love to do the same if I had the money for extra premiums. It's lovely to have some spaces like that and adds to a community feeling. One alternative solution regarding faux businesses - it's been expressed a few times that residents do like them if tastefully done, adding to the community feel. So @Patch Linden why not have a few homes dotted here and there which residents can pay a tiny bit extra for to create a non-commercial community spot, cafe, post office, whatever. I'm not sure if LL could do that logistically. Maybe keep the land as Linden owned and have a rental box on it and set the criteria for what the user can and can't do, and then they can check the build is meeting their criteria for theme. That would be much easier to police since they'll know which homes they are. The rent would have to be minimal though otherwise people wouldn't do it. On the other hand I do get that for some it's not their thing. You can't please everyone. And of course LL want to maintain the appearance of the themes, rightly so. They need to draw some lines somewhere otherwise it'll end up looking like the mainland (awful in some places). And they've always said these are supposed to be starter homes (I think they need to give up on that idea now...), so from their point of view if you want to do something different, that's not in theme there's the mainland for it. As for the roof situation - I can see it coming that there will be some unslightly stuff being put ontop of the Newbrooke homes. It's a prime theme to do that. I thought that roof add on was done very nicely (although not my personal taste) so I was really surprised to hear they were returned by LL as they didn't seem that out of theme. Considering also, as others have said, some of the stuff that's been done elsewhere in Belli that definately haven't been in theme and look really out of place. Perhaps they are being extra strict with the Newbrooke's because the roofs are more likely to be built on than any other theme. My sense of it is that residents shouldn't push too far in terms of add-ons as it could eventually result in a blanket ban on any of them for everyone. LL doesn't have the manpower to police every single home, so if it gets out of hand the only solution will be to ban everything. Children...you have been warned lol.
  11. Haha! Polenth mentioned traps yesterday -I was wondering what they were. I haven't seen these in my travels yet. So whose gonna be the first to try and see what happens when you step on/touch it😄...
  12. Thanks for posting this, I love the look of this pack!:) I really like the exterior walls in the Newbrook regions. Unfortantely I don't have another account to get a home to get it:(
  13. 6 regions have homes taken (I think 7 now - maybe Coin Toss) - my guess is that they might go fast. But hopefully there'll be more moderns in the future if they prove popular. But I think they'll be enough left if you want one in the near future, still plenty of regions left to release.
  14. Land now appearing between the Newbrookes and the Chalet's...
  15. They've spaced out the homes a lot more than we saw in the demo - that's really nice, so it doesn't feel like you are squashed up against your neighbours property.
  16. I think the Moles have been reading my mind... Thoroughly enjoying the new Newbrooke community hangout!:)
  17. Ha- still no stilt over pier's though...:) I've counted 3 eating places so far in the community area - so much to explore and take in.
  18. I've had a quick look at the Community region - it's huge. I really like it. Just some quick snapshots...
  19. In case anyone misses it in the other thread, yes they are released today and available on the Land Page. Happy house hunting:)
  20. Latest Patch post! I think 'SOON' may be really soon!😄 Maybe today even...? Region restarts are happening I think. Just a guess. EDIT - Yes, being released today!!! (See the update post linked below)
  21. I'd agree with that guess, since all the other themes replacing the first gen ones have been done already. If it is, then all the first gen themes will have been covered - Modern, Asian, Fantasy.
  22. Yeah, it does look like that could be the case. Or... maybe they're holding off releasing the moderns with the other theme so that they'll have enough homes (including the Fantasy and chalets, which there are still plenty of) to finally close the first gen homes. Looking at the map, many of the old homes are showing 'Linden Homes', indicating many have left already. So maybe LL are close to being ready to have enough homes to move out the rest of the residents.
