  1. Happy New Year fellow residents across the world! Party time at Belli Blues:)
  2. That would be nice, and maybe the ability to apply stencils instead of having to add a paint shell.
  3. Hmm...new home features...maybe modular so you can place doors and walls where you want, to create your own floor plans, or homes that are not at ground level like tree homes or something. It'll be fun to see what it will be!
  4. Yeah, I wish this aspect were a little bit better. I love the expo and attend every year. But it can be a little frustrating not to know stuff like raffle winners. I know they announced winners in world, but not everyone can be inworld at that time, but there's no announcement anywhere else. I had to contact someone inworld about the snowman competition (they were super helpful about it), but it would be nice to know where to find these things out. The expo website doesn't show anything, and often has tp links that don't work. I don't mean to sound disparaging because I really appreciate what they do every year, and the money they raise, which is awesome. But updates and tp links would be really helpful.
  5. I agree, this is a great way to give more water access to residents. From what's been posted so far I'm really liking the interior spaces. Although not enough to tempt me away from a Stilt:) I hope the Moles put some out in the unreleased regions so we can take a peek, and also hope we get more floorplans for Stilts too!
  6. Thanks!:) For seem reason my brain totally didn't see the words 'New Homes':)
  7. Can you link to where it says there'll be a new theme reveal - I can't see anything on the Expo site. I'm not sure there will be a theme reveal. I seem to remember Patch or someone saying there might not be another theme reveal this year. Instead they are focusing on theme updates, premium plus homes etc.
  8. Is there a date set for interviews this year? I don't see it mentioned in the Expo info.
  9. It's not empty. Nearly all the SSP development regions are covered over so as not to reveal anything to us before they are ready to reveal it. It's been like that for a long time now.
  10. I suspect it's something they are already working on. Up in the SSP areas you can see what I believe are different regions for the comuunity centers (e.g. SSPSCR). I think this one is the Victorian one...I could be totally wrong though:)
  11. I think another water theme is needed - looks like Stilts OW/OP and Houseboats are still very popular!
  12. I love the Christmas Expo and look forward to it every year (and the Chrismas shop & hop!)
  13. Same here:) I'll only buy sofa and chairs now that have activities in them. Not enough sellers do that
  14. I've had some problems recently, whereas I don't normally have issues in SL. Things rezzing really slowly (some partially or not at all too), avatar 'freezing' whilst running for a few seconds, and strange geometric shapes appearing in view - not sure if that's an SL issue or computer (I have a relatively new computer thought with decent graphics card). I've had to keep my draw distance lower than normalto avoid it.
  15. Wow, mixed themes, that sounds interesting. That suggests we'll be seeing this in future themes...maybe it's something for the 2048 homes? I like the orb update, nice idea.
  16. I don't have a trad but I think it's great news that they updated the floor plans:) I hope people post some pics I'd love to see the interiors.
  17. I haven't read this whole thread, but in response to the OP, I've felt irritated at times when the creator doesn't list the permissions. But then I just don't buy whatever it is, so it's the creator's loss. Makes me feel like they really don't want my money. I don't mind some things not being MOD - it really depends what it is. On the whole there are only two things that will stop me buying something - permssions and info not clearly stated, and no demo. IMO these should be standard for these days (I'm mainly talking about vehicles, clothing, home and garden items. I get that some really old products might not have demos,).
  18. I have some lovely memories of places, many of which I don't remember the names now, and don't have the old landmarks. There was a Japanese town with an overground train and a cute play area. 'The Squat', an awesome small drum 'n base club. I do have a handful of old pics of my top favs though. Looking back on them I think if they were still around without having changed they would look really dated. Nostalgia and memory are a wonderful thing but doesn't keep up with the times. But I cherish mine none the less and Second Life has giving me many good memories. 1) Riverwalk Cliffhouse Arts and Attraction was one of my favourites. It was around for quite a few years. I was really sad to see it close. It had a nice artwork display and places to sit, play chess or have dinner: 2) Midnight Reflections was a fav of mine too 3) Goatswood was a beautiful Victorian roleplay area, wonderful for photography: Unfortunately I don't have, and don't remember, the creator names or info on why they closed (except Midnight Reflections was owned by Luna Bliss). Whoever they were thank you for the joy you brought me:)
  19. I think it's a great idea, I love the variations
  20. Yep, enjoyed doing this. I'll be happy to get at least the participation bear:) It'll be interesting to see what the highest number of candies gained is, considering 900 buckets were taken (I imagine not everyone put theirs out though). I can see this getting harder each year with more participants and candy to chase. But it's fun, and a great way to explore Bellisseria, and see the seasonal decor too. I think we should have seasonal hunts - Easter, Halloween, Christmas, or at least something similar, even if one or two of those are Linden run hunts. Moar candy!!!πŸ¬πŸ˜„πŸ
  21. Just some thoughts: For goodwill, if possible I think the hunt should be extended by a day or however long the downtime has been. That seems only reasonable and fair, since residents were expecting the hunt to last until the date advertised. It's not the residents fault the buckets have broken. (I'm wondering why LL are using Google Docs for this. I would have thought a Linden run game would be using internal systems to record data. I'm sure they have a good reason though, which I'm not privvy to. ) If that's not possible, then why not just make the lowest tier bear available from the hunt HUD points so that anyone can get one, for a limited period. That way those that were planning to grab at least one candy to get the bear yesterday or today can still get one and not feel dissapointed. As for the other tiers, I think they have to just go with what was recorded at the time of failure. I can't see another way round that. I don't think making all the free bears for everyone is necessarily the best approach, for reasons AzureWaves give, i.e. because of the time and dedication some residents may have put in. I think it will cause resentment. Personally I don't mind if they do that, even though I've put quite a bit of time in to getting candy (I just love having candy been thrown at me lol). What they could perhaps do instead is offer a one-off unique free bear (not the lowest tier one I mentioned above) to all participants, one that won't be made available in future hunts, as some compensation for the hunt being cut short. But logistically I'm not sure how they'd do that - they'd need to set up a dispenser that would have data on who had already taken part or something. It would probably be more work than they have time or willingness to put into it. Just a thought though. As Niki says, they know more than we do about what's feasible. I just hope this doesn't all get soured and ruin it for future hunts.
