  1. Well that's a shame lol. Getting my hopes up for more...
  2. I think the Ender is a great 512 option - it doesn't feel cramped inside and there's enough outside space for a nice garden. Will it eventually have this long window as a door? There's no way to directly go into the garden area as you can in other houses - climb out that adjacent window maybe? (otherwise go out the front door - I know it's not far to walk lol but a side exit would be nice).
  3. Thanks to Patch and the team for updating the region to be more reflective of the end product! My initial thoughts are that the colour options are a simple but great improvment and makes the reveal feel more consistent with the general aesthetic of the past ones. Overall the small change has made a big difference I think. It's a nice touch to furnish one of them too! I notice there is a light brown colour option for the interior stairs and trim too. The additional of colour to two of the hangout space has improved it, giving a warmer feel. I can't remember if the other has changed, but I don't remember the fire pit before, so if that's an addition I really like it! On a more critical note: • I'm not sure if I like the pink colour (and to some extent the purple) - for some reason this seems to work better to my eye on other themes and looks a bit saccharin here. I love the more neutral range of colours, the sand, white and grey. It's enough variation to not give a completely monochrome look like before, so it's a great improvement and overall these colour changes gives the theme more personality. • The black trim & bricks - I still find it jarring and feel it brings down the theme. I would have preferred to see light neutral options given, like cream or grey. Why just black (and brown)? The black seems such a heavy contrast to the wall colours. The brown option is better as it looks less of a harsh contrast. I wonder if this is what others who feel it's heavy are picking up too? I do think that despite all the criticisms so far that this will prove to be one of the most popular themes.
  4. I've been hoping for this! Some of the communal spaces (parks, community centers) are really nice and I think it would be great to preserve them as a piece of old SL history that is still functional.
  5. Yep😁 I'm happy to be in summery Stilt land in the winter and don't mind snow in the summer. The beauty of a VW is that you aren't constrained by 'reality' (to a degree). But different strokes for different folks:)
  6. Looking at the parcels lines I noticed this too. Some of the 512's, single story take up the whole parcel so there is no room outside for any bushes, trees or other landscaping - so your view out the window is whatever the neighbours have in their yard. You'd have to put up a small privacy screen if you want it prettier. But this might suit those who don't care much for landscaping and prefer to focus their attention inside only. At least there are 8 homes to choose from:) I think it's a good move to close the demo and update it - I'd rather wait longer and see the usual LL standard than a WIP. I appreiciate that they wanted to give us a reveal at the Expo.
  7. I think basically they are reusing base parts across the themes - probably helps them create faster and so get the themes out quicker:)
  8. So my general opinion on the positives and negatives. Positives: • Lovely open plan • Lots of large windows (we asked for these and they listened) • 512 options which don't feel cramped • Home choice with balcony • I really like the fencing:) Negtives: • Chunky exterior design (Meadowbrooks don't feel 'chunky' - these do in a way that feels like the design is dated, not an update) • Exterior designs feel 'unrefined' compared to previous themes - the shaping, and texturing doesn't look and feel like the same standard of previous themes for some reason. However this may be because they are still WIP • Communal spots feel uninviting, too sparse and cold. Modern doesn't have to feel cold (see Paul Hexom's game examples above) • I would agree with a previous comment that the outside doesn't match the interior - it does feel like you are walking into a different home when you go inside. The interior is pretty similar in general design with the previous themes of traditional and others. That's fine, they work in all the themes as a base on which the user can add their own mark. When the new homes were first introduced I was sure I wanted a modern with all the positives I mentioned - but then they gave us houseboats and Stilts, and I fell in love with those instead (unexpectedly). If I hadn't have I probably would go with this modern theme out of all the themes. But I do feel that it somehow the exterior and neighbourhood doesn't quite have the wonderful look and feel of the other themes. It feels a bit 'heavy' and not as aesthetically pleasing. Meadowbrook regions by comparison don't. So it's not about it being modern. Maybe all that's needed is a choice of lighter colour for the outside brick and beams etc. But as I was walking round them I did find the theme starting to grow on me a bit, so maybe I'll like it more down the line.
  9. I've never played this game, but I think this looks awesome. If the new theme could have looked a bit more like this it woulb be better I think.
  10. I have to agree with most of this. I do like mesh because of the aethetics compared to prims but I would agree that it has affected creativity inworld compared to before mesh. It's such a shame there isn't a better inworld system. I have done some 3d modelling and it definately has a learning curve that the majority of users are just not gonna want to learn, whereas putting some prims together is way easier and fun too, as you say. However, I doubt very much that this situation will change any time soon, if ever (but who knows where technology will take us in the future...).
  11. I think these might be the kind of homes that grow on you over time. Once people put in their own garden decor and pretty it up a bit. Plus they are a work in progress -it's a demo region so it might well look a bit different when it's released. I'm sure there'll be plenty of people who love it (and leave their Stilts for me mwahahah)...
  12. Wow, yes, this is a great idea I think. There are at least 2 that are 512.
  13. I would imagine there will be colour choices, just like in every other theme.
  14. Yes there is a good choice I think within the theme - double and single story, larger or smaller house etc. For those that are looking for a Meadowbrooke style this is definately it.
  15. Yes, the big windows are lovely! They feel quite room and have some nice porch areas. I don't think I'll be swaping a Stilt for these though.
  16. I think this has been one of the most popular reveals - approximately 100 or so waiting for it across 3 regions. The open region is jam packed...
  17. Looks like it's modern... Newbrooke... Currently 8 styles revealed: 512sqm: Gatewood (2 Storey with balcony), Faraday, Denver, Ender (2 Storey with mini balcony) 1024sqm: Coniston, Bradbury, Aldridge (2 Storey)
  18. I haven't seen it say anywhere that it's 5pm...the only time given is that poster (so far)...
