  1. I'm going to release my Thunderhead Traditional at 5:45pm. I LOVE this house. It's such a private piece of property, beautifully wooded. But I realized that with the log homes coming up that I don't need to hold another Trad in this type of environment, since I'm hoping to get a log home which will be wooded. Truly a catch for someone looking for peace and quiet, and beautiful surroundings. Really nice winding walk up on a dead end to the house too which makes it that much more private. Oh and railroad tracks out front too! Ding ding ding! http://maps.secondlife.com/secondlife/Thunderhead/108/232/51
  2. Ok I am going to release the Soft Downs house at 11:40am SLT. Good luck! http://maps.secondlife.com/secondlife/Soft Downs/235/89/24 And it's gone
  3. Got one in Soft Downs, across from water. Probably releasing, will notify if I do.
  4. Just got a Vic in Mountebank which I threw right back. How disappointing. Looked like it was going to be a keeper on the map, house was right on the river but when I got there, there was NO view. Like how can that be? Well, the river was set SO low below the house at such a steep, straight plunging angle that all you saw was the huge green mountain of the region across the river. Wasn't even any trees on that mountain. Just looked like it was unfinished. And next door the neighbor had rezzed a huge giant tree and put a platform into the tree which I guess, gave them a view but blocked off all the sky light from that side. So, nope.
  5. Ditto. I colored them a deep red in this room and love the way they look because they have a nice texture already. Left the inside sheer part as a light gray. worked on and they looked SO good
  6. I love the Victorians, except for the Doyle which I've tried to use but it's really too small and feels claustrophobic to me. They are easy to fit everything you need in them, especially with all the wonderful add-on's available. I especially like the large upstairs landings which you can easily fit a bathroom into so you don't have to use one of the bedrooms for that usage. And the landscaping is so incredible in most of the regions. Truly breathtaking in some instances. I do still find myself gravitating to the Traditional models as well. I still love the Winchester, and again with so many good add-ons find it easy to decorate. And I learned to love the Continental, which is pretty easy to make Victorian looking in a pinch. It is a bit too small, not any good bathroom areas and there really isn't a good add-on that improves the flow of this house, but overall I like it quite a bit in spite of the flaws it has. Not a fan of the 2 smaller homes though. I have managed to get the best properties with the Traditionals, so there is that. Love the houseboats, I mean who doesn't like living on the water? The one I have now has wonderful west views and makes me very happy to be there. It's amazing to me how much fun virtual sailing can be, and even more, how peaceful it is. The trailer/campers meh. I tried oh how I tried. I created a few really great interiors, even an ice cream parlour but really just coudn't get into them. Had a great spot in Saltmarsh, truly perfect and even that did not do it for me. I finally decided it wasn't that I'm not an outdoor person - it's the type of home itself. I'm looking forward to the log homes. I love those style of homes and have fond memories of spending summers at my aunt and uncles home on a lake in very rural PA, a similar style house he built from scratch. I'm excited to recreate this memory!
  7. Thanks for the heads up Nikki, I normally wouldn't have seen that message until much later in the day since I don't log in until I get home from work. I do, however, get messages from here regularly. Luckily (or unluckily as it is) I'm working from home due to world circumstances so I'll be able to pop in early and clean up my house. Thank you to everyone for the opportunity to be part of this wonderful event which benefits a cause near and dear to my own heart. I look forward to being part of it in coming years. And special shout out to @Nika Talaj for calling out to me about it as I'm sure I probably wouldn't have been aware of the home show part of this otherwise.
  8. I'm about to release a Vic in Roundabout (LOVE the name). It's inland but omg the front steps are to die for. I wish this was elsewhere because these stairs are utterly fantastic, and the landscaping is equally great; a wild mess of roses flanking the huge step up to the house. Corner lot, feels quite private because the house to the right is set lower the backyard has a dead end street on that side so there is no house looking directly into the back of this one. Truly, wish this somewhere with a view as I'd consider it an upgrade to another one I have which is similar but where it is now it's just pretty much the same (although does have better steps!). So pretty, though! Will let go at 5:40pm SLT http://maps.secondlife.com/secondlife/Roundabout/75/161/36
  9. Alt got the Vic, it's in Effing Parade. Nice corner lot with beautiful landscaping out front, a double row of hydrangeas. Rather spectacular. I just don't need this type of lot so I'm letting it go in a couple of minutes. It's weird though, seems a lot of the homes in this region keep switching hands. I've gotten several of them in the past 24 hours, one 3x. Not sure why because for 1st time owners this is a a really nicely done area. http://maps.secondlife.com/secondlife/Effing Parade/210/129/33 In maintenance Anyway, will hit abandon in a minute or so 5:45am SLT. Good luck! Ok gone - Hope Princess C enjoys it and does not throw it back 😛
  10. Man. I HATE when I get the same house I just released 17 minutes ago 😡
  11. Just released a Vic in Malthus. Stuck in Maintenance so someone may have a shot at it. Nice, high up, decent view with derendering http://maps.secondlife.com/secondlife/Malthus/129/178/36 Ok - gone now!
  12. It won't be months. The new Log homes are due in a week or so. And there are still new areas being released on a weekly basis of all types. Abandons ofTraditonals, Victorians, Houseboats and Trailers happen all the time. Some days are busier than others for people letting go of properties they own. Weekends tend to be slower. You just have to keep trying. I just saw a houseboat on the page a few minutes ago in fact.
  13. OMG I can't believe I just clicked on one of the old style houses by mistake. What a waste of a try!
  14. Got a Vic in Malthus. Nice high location, can see the ocean from it tho needs some minor tree derendering. Might keep, might not. I have others I could release and keep this one instead. Will have to take a look later and see what I want to do about it.
  15. Lake? Love her Lips so much better than Nova's, which I thought I was going to really like best but have only been wearing the Erin head since those both came out. This one, I prefer even over Erin. This is with DeetaleZ, Flora. This is her with YS&YS, Cheyanne
  16. Hello, it's been a while. (new Lelutka, Lake)
  17. Gah really would have loved this one. Ghosty came downstairs and started talking to me as I was going to try for it and got me distracted 😞
  18. Ok, going to release the Traditional in Coldwater Cay. Pix! Honestly wish I was able to keep it but it makes no sense. This is the view from the back/side. I realized it also faces west! It's beautiful as sunset! Release at 8:00am SLT, 2 minutes!
  19. Oh that's the one I grabbed. I love this one but I think I'm going to send it back also.
  20. Releasing a Vic I picked up on a alt yesterday in Mountebank. Dead end street, corner lot, lush amount of roses and wide front walkway. Quite nice and would be a great spot for someone who hasn't been able to pick up a home yet. I held it overnight because I have a couple of alts with no homes and I keep hoping I'll be able to upgrade one of the ones I already have but alas this was not it for me personally. I do like this one quite a bit though. Releasing at 6:45m SLT, so shortly http://maps.secondlife.com/secondlife/Mountebank/35/133/60 FYI I also have a Trad I'm debating about releasing that I just got on another alt that has a fantastic water views in Coldwater Cay. Very different from the other ones I already have - This one I'm finding difficult to let go. Again this would be a most excellent home for someone else. Perfect if you use the Winchester with a porch add on, as the view is spectacular from the back/side. Will make my decision probably within the next hour or less. Need to have breakfast and ponder...
  21. For some reason, I think this was one of my properties, although I had a different house on it. I am darn sure of it. Great place to live , someone would be very happy with this location. Well Springs was one of my favorite places so far.
  22. Oh goodness I'm glad I stopped to look into this part of the forum tonight. I've been over my head at work for several weeks. Like, drowning which is abnormal for me. I barely have time to do anything let alone spend time on my avatar escapades. Tonight I changed clothing for the first time in weeks. For shame Elora, for shame! I am now following this thread. By coincidence, Ghosty and I happened to move into a new large piece of land together (believe it not, we have never lived on the same land, ever, although we still have separate houses lol) and as I was setting up my part of it, I started thinking about when Scylla was talking about getting together in a spa style setting and though "Wow, this place, would be perfect for that" and mentioned to G that I'd thought it would be nice to invite people over once I was done setting things up. So, seeing that this is a "thing" makes me happy and I do hope my schedule lightens up enough that I'll be able to join in. I need some me time, badly!
