  1. I think I remember that from years ago back on the SLU forums.. Wasn't that even a couple years before the major first mesh bodies even came out, like Maitreya, Slink,Belleza and TMP? That's about all I can remember from back then right now.. hehehe
  2. Someone in the park practicing their kung fu while wearing nothing but pink thigh highs? If you look close it looks like there is some butt crack too.. Seriously though, It could be a goal that they are using for his soccer or futball practice..
  3. Blueberry is more known for giving out credits for holiday things.. I think for Christmas they gave out store credit that you could get if you were in the group.. I probably would have did that, but they don't make things for Erika and I pretty much have most of everything there already.. So if they ever do make things for Erika, I can just get them on redeliver.. That's always a fun thing too.. hehehehe
  4. We had younger people coming into the plant I worked at and having to tape their ears up or wear the big hearing protection head phone things.. There is just too much there that will catch or grab and snatch those.. That was before the new company bought them.. Honestly, they were so injury scared about tarnishing their record that I wouldn't doubt they didn't hire people that had those.. Because I never seen anyone with ears like that there anymore after they took over..
  5. They sure seemed to have a few ears like that on that store run last week too.. The one store, I think Adore maybe? they had all kinds of free ears there.. I'll probably never use any of them, but I grabbed them all.. LOL
  6. When I see those in RL, all I can think of is, omg i bet those are at the top of the grab and rip list when a fight rolls around.. Rather than just get your earring now, they get the half of your ears.. OUCH!!
  7. I'm sure that @Lucia Nightfire could explain it much better than me.. But from my understanding the numbers get updated each day and are gathered by bots and objects scanning across the grid.. The number at the top I believe is the number that was counted that day.. It's probably not best to look at them every day to see too much of a change, maybe once a week is best..But they seem to line up well with a lot of things, like wearers dropping in some areas of mesh heads as the lelutka free mesh heads were given away and then seeing how quickly those mesh heads moved up.. There was a quick response in the change in numbers with that event.. For me it's kind of fun to go back and see if those numbers stay or go up or drop after a couple of weeks, to kind of give an idea of who stayed with their Raven head or who went back to their older head..
  8. Oh I see what you are saying.. The list is of the top 300 mesh bodies altogether, each taking their percentage of the wearers.. There are more mesh bodies than 300.. Some have fell off the list.. the more you go down the list the more the percentage of wearers drops. a body doesn't even get 1.0% on that list until it's inside the top 20 Most of the rest of the list is like 0.1% from rank 39 down to 300.. Also, that is not including system avatars numbers and people wearing those.. it's just the top 300 mesh bodies.. It's a long list and each one getting a percent of their own wearers of the 421242 unique wearers If you take the whole amount of wearers being counted, which is, 421242 wearers in total, subtract 33%, give or take the small partial percentages that some bodies only have.. you come up with that number.. I came up with this number139,009.86... But that's just doing a straight 33% and not doing all the little math involved to get it accurate.. I'll just post the top 50 to hopefully give a better idea of what is going on to show how fast the percentage of wearers drops and how fast the more you move away from the top 20.. I just don't want to post 300 lines of stats and eat up a whole page.. hehehe I hope I'm not misunderstanding things again.. hehehe Updated: 2023-01-02 @ 00:00:00 PST Top 300 mesh bodies with 421242 unique wearers: Rank # | Model Name | Count | % (Count / 421242) #1 : Maitreya - Lara : 139381 : 33.0% #2 : Signature - Gianni : 31472 : 7.4% #3 : Belleza - Jake : 23302 : 5.5% #4 : MeshBody - Legacy (Female) : 21328 : 5.0% #5 : MeshBody - Classic (Female) : 14879 : 3.5% #6 : eBODY - Reborn : 13869 : 3.2% #7 : Inithium - Kupra : 13663 : 3.2% #8 : MeshBody - Legacy (Athletic Male) : 12885 : 3.0% #9 : MeshBody - Legacy (Male) : 11867 : 2.8% #10 : LucyBody - Atenea : 10379 : 2.4% #11 : MeshBody - Classic (Male) : 9248 : 2.1% #12 : MeshBody - Legacy Perky : 8197 : 1.9% #13 : Niramyth - Aesthetic Mesh Body : 7254 : 1.7% #14 : Belleza - Freya : 7181 : 1.7% #15 : Utilizator - Kemono : 4865 : 1.1% #16 : Slink - Male : 4689 : 1.1% #17 : eBODY - Curvy : 4598 : 1.0% #18 : Sweet's - Ruth : 4579 : 1.0% #19 : Slink - Hourglass : 4135 : 0.9% #20 : Signature - Geralt : 3135 : 0.7% #21 : eBODY - Classic : 2148 : 0.5% #22 : Inithium - Kario : 1945 : 0.4% #23 : ToddleeDoo - Baby : 1723 : 0.4% #24 : Sweet's - Male Body : 1641 : 0.3% #25 : Slink - Original : 1539 : 0.3% #26 : Altamura - Jenny : 1385 : 0.3% #27 : Belleza - Isis : 1380 : 0.3% #28 : Absolut - Adam : 1375 : 0.3% #29 : Vlad - Ruth : 1353 : 0.3% #30 : TMP - Deluxe (Male) : 1162 : 0.2% #31 : Altamura - Robert : 1104 : 0.2% #32 : MeshMerized - Tweenster : 1071 : 0.2% #33 : Bad Seed - Youth Fitted : 1016 : 0.2% #34 : Rebirth - Eden : 956 : 0.2% #35 : Tiny Inc. - Dinkies (Cat) : 924 : 0.2% #36 : ToddleeDoo - Baby Chubby : 915 : 0.2% #37 : Altamura - Valentina : 894 : 0.2% #38 : Kalhene - Ariadna : 882 : 0.2% #39 : META - Neo : 832 : 0.1% #40 : Kalhene - Erika : 829 : 0.1% #41 : TMP - Free (Female) : 794 : 0.1% #42 : Inithium - Kupra Kups : 722 : 0.1% #43 : Utilizator - AV2.0 : 719 : 0.1% #44 : Signature - Davis : 701 : 0.1% #45 : Altamura - Max : 658 : 0.1% #46 : Belleza - Venus : 611 : 0.1% #47 : Ruth & Roth - Ruth : 599 : 0.1% #48 : MW - Adin : 594 : 0.1% #49 : Piggu - Jonathon 2 : 585 : 0.1% #50 : LullaBeebs - Infant Body : 573 : 0.1%
  9. I think male bodies don't move around as much as the female bodies do in the rankings.. I don't think they shop as much as we do.. hehehe I was telling guys about the lelutka head and all the things they could get while the stores were giving away all that stuff.. A lot of them were like, yea, maybe, we'll see.. Some were like Hell ya! some were more just like, meh.. hehehe
  10. Not everyone goes shopping all the time, some don't go shopping at all..The Numbers are about wearers of the bodies, not the ones out shopping and buying things for them all the time.. These aren't event and store numbers, they are grid numbers.. Maitreya has been around for a long time and been the most popular for a long time.. there are a lot wearing these different bodies that are doing a lot of other things.. A lot of them never change their bodies or collect bodies and are happy with the one they have.. Look at how much GenX has getting made for it and hardly any of the Belleza older body wearers have budged towards the Genx.. There is over 9,000 older belleza body wearers.. When the GenX came out, hardly any of them moved to the GenX bodies.. GenX with both bodies, Curvy and Classic combined only have like around 350 wearers maybe a little more.. But have all these creators adding them to their list of bodies they rig for.. The amount of things made for a body nowadays doesn't equal how many are using them.. The main reason so many are rigging for GenX is because of the Belleza name.. It's not because of wearer numbers..
  11. I just got the short stat numbers that show mostly the rankings.. The numbers on the end of each one are the amount of wearers each has, which moves them up or down the list.. I guess I forgot to add the header for the list to show what each thing is.. I'll post the top 10 from each list and put the headers in below.. Sorry about that, it was still kind of early morning for me.. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ This is the top 10 of short stat list of where the top 300 mesh bodies are ranking in wearers, that I already posted, but including the header this time.. hehehe Updated: 2023-01-02 @ 00:00:00 PST Top 300 mesh bodies with 421242 unique wearers: Rank # | Model Name | Count | % (Count / 421242) #1 : Maitreya - Lara : 139381 : 33.0% #2 : Signature - Gianni : 31472 : 7.4% #3 : Belleza - Jake : 23302 : 5.5% #4 : MeshBody - Legacy (Female) : 21328 : 5.0% #5 : MeshBody - Classic (Female) : 14879 : 3.5% #6 : eBODY - Reborn : 13869 : 3.2% #7 : Inithium - Kupra : 13663 : 3.2% #8 : MeshBody - Legacy (Athletic Male) : 12885 : 3.0% #9 : MeshBody - Legacy (Male) : 11867 : 2.8% #10 : LucyBody - Atenea : 10379 : 2.4% ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- This is the top 100 list of current standings with more detailed statistics. 12. I've pretty much settled with My Erika body now.. It's not getting a lot of the big support than a lot of the top 10 bodies are getting.. But the range you can go with that body and how well it is made and everything that comes with it.. In my opinion, the best body isn't sitting in the top 10, just the most popular ones.. I can take my Erika and go full on curvy or heavy or get down to standard looking or physically fit.. The add-on's that other body users have to buy and the deformers that take up attach points, are all built into the Erika body.. i wish it had much more creators making more variety of clothes for it, but it just takes a little hunting and also working with the things in the wardrobe.. I will say, switching to a better body rather than one that has a lot of things made for it, has me saving more money, plus getting me a bit more creative with piecing things together.. Something i used to really be good at before I let myself get sucked into the current quick hit market that really is lacking in creativity these days.. There are some nice things out there being made, but there is also a lot of crap.. hehehe This is my flo jo that i made with my Erika body.. Ever since I made this shape, I've been get hit up for my shape numbers a lot.. hehehe I'm running out of excuses.. I don't think they are going to buy the, it's from a friend and not mod, much longer.. hehehe I swear this is the last time I'm gonna post this set of pictures.. Don't anybody scalp me yet.. hehehe Maitreya is nice for some things and it was really hard to pull me away from it.. It has a lot of content made for it, It's the number one most popular body and nothing else comes close in popularity to it by like a huge amount of wearers.. But for myself, I never felt so good with any mesh body out there having a nice well made legs and hip into rib smooth transition as with my Erika.. The range is for me that I can go with this body is just much better.. It's a taste thing though and not saying my taste is the best at all.. But Erika can be brought down into range without the outstanding butt and hips.. you can take it flat chested as well unlike a lot of the others that are built more for Hips and butt. It's not perfect perfect and has it's flaws too. But I think it's just really versatile in what we can do with it.. it just needs more versatility in the outfit area is all.. hehehe
  13. Jake actually was above Gianni at one point.. I'm not sure what went on there really.. I just remember Jake being the number one male body like back in late spring early summer.. ETA: I'm gonna take that back, only because I've been bitten by my memory too many times.. I'll just say I could swear Jake was above Gianni at one point.. I just remember a conversation with a group in world and talking about the top mesh bodies and Jake being the male one.. What I really need to do is save these numbers so I have better solid reference than my memory..lol
  14. I grab the numbers almost every day.. It's kind of become something I find interesting.. I actually just got finished grabbing them a little bit ago.. I'll post the top 10 and then where the slinks are sitting.. It's a list of 300 on the main list, so I don't want to eat up a whole page in the thread..There are more detailed lists, but this one is mainly how many wearers each one currently is showing.. where the other lists show more stats and trends and predictions. @Lucia Nightfire Is the one that created the system.. ETA: wow I just now noticed, Reborn jumped two spots since last week and passed Kupra finally.. #1 : Maitreya - Lara : 139381 : 33.0% #2 : Signature - Gianni : 31472 : 7.4% #3 : Belleza - Jake : 23302 : 5.5% #4 : MeshBody - Legacy (Female) : 21328 : 5.0% #5 : MeshBody - Classic (Female) : 14879 : 3.5% #6 : eBODY - Reborn : 13869 : 3.2% #7 : Inithium - Kupra : 13663 : 3.2% #8 : MeshBody - Legacy (Athletic Male) : 12885 : 3.0% #9 : MeshBody - Legacy (Male) : 11867 : 2.8% #10 : LucyBody - Atenea : 10379 : 2.4% #16 : Slink - Male : 4689 : 1.1% #19 : Slink - Hourglass : 4135 : 0.9% #25 : Slink - Original : 1539 : 0.3% #76 : Slink - Mesh Body : 308 : <0.1% <----------(I'm not sure what one this is really, unless it was like, their very first mesh body maybe?) I'm not up on all the bodies they have.
  15. I agree it shouldn't be a crap body and I really agree that the control should not be in the hands of a few creators/users.. Mesh pulled a lot of the control we once had, from a lot of the user base to where we are now shoppers more than creators.. We are cut off from dev kits by creator restrictions. The preview we had of the NUX avatar really doesn't look like it is junk.. I don't think the goal was to put out something just a little better than the older avatars.. They do look really good and I love that they come with so much, plus a dev kit.. I think the dev kit is giving a chance back to any user that feels like taking up creating clothes or whatever in mesh.. a really good learning tool for if they want to move in that direction.. That alone kind of excited me about the NUX.. My main concern is, we have needed a mesh starting point for a long time and now we are getting one.. I also agree it's been a long time coming and would have been much better if we would have had the tools and mesh avatars much sooner, it would have been much better for everyone.. It just feels like we have lost so much in the creativity that we used to have to choose from years ago.. it feels much more like a narrow road rather than spread out.. I hope it gives opportunity to more creative people than before.. Times gonna tell and it's all gonna come out in the wash after they come out.. I do have my fingers crossed for them working out the best for all of us..
  16. The thing is, they will be born in them.. So they already will be worn by everyone that enters the world.. Now it's a matter of getting them out of the Nux.. Not everyone is jumping to go spend 5k or 4k or 3 k on a mesh body and head.. Some never will.. Some will just be satisfied with what they were born with and what it can do.. What makes the other bodies successful is first getting users in them.. If they move on to better things that is good, if they don't and are happy with where they are at with theri avatars, that's good too.. It's kind of a win win position for the whole community really..
  17. I didn't say it would destroy it, I said it would piss them off.. Big difference there.. hehehe
  18. Let me reword this.. It is not their goal to compete with the Mesh head and Mesh body, clothes, hair and whatever else creators.. Their goal with this project is to update and improve on their starter avatars to improve the new user experience, which has needed serious, serious work for awhile now.. After rerunning through it myself a few months back, limiting myself as if I came in with a blank slate and knew nothing at all.. I could not give the avatar any money, could not use any knowledge I already know to make anything easier.. only what i learned on the way and only money that I made could I use.. No viewer experience or anything.. everything had to be learned and found out.. this was the best that I could do after all the trial and error and mix and matching over a like two weeks.. you want to talk about frustrating.. omg I was ripping hair out because I knew the way but couldn't use what I knew.. Looking at it from our perspective of what we already know, is much different than someone coming in not knowing anything or what's out there yet.. The best way to get a feel for what is really needed is to run it yourself from the ground perspective of a brand new mindset.. It's much more exciting discovering new and better things than it is to be handed end game at the start.. Better start avatars will give them less time learning how to mix and match and open up more SL world... Right now it's all taken up by getting an avatar built and then getting out there.. Now they can get out there much much sooner.. They don't need the best of the best at the very start to stick around.. think about when you first came and how new things you learned or found only excited you more about this world.. I work with new users all the time and when they learn something new, they are excited and it grabs them even more.. I remember when I was new.. I thought my default avatar was hot.. lol ,then the more I went out into the world got excited when I seen how I could improve.. then learning that and then seeing even more and still today enjoying doing that.. The Nux I feel is going to work, because it will be more than good enough to get them on the ground and moving.. not keeping them in one spot for much longer than they need to be just spinni their wheels until they have had enough and just quit.
  19. Well I guess it's stopping them this time and I guess the proof will be in the pudding once the NUX is out for awhile.. It also won't leave them with what we have now.. They will start off much better.. what we have right now is a big horrible mess of mixed up parts that they have to try and figure out how to put together which takes way too long for the start of any new world.. The nux is already put together with a complete set of things made for it, so they will be able to go from mesh to mesh.. The starting line will be moved from nothing to much more adaptable parts. The NUX is already coming, so it's all really kind of just arguing to argue about what they should do now.. LL is worried about new user retention and updating the old avatars from system avatars to updated mesh.. They aren't looking to get into the market themselves as well as compete with other businesses along the way.. If anything it's to help build them up.. Making the start point much more tolerable is going to help with retaining more new users, because even with the mess we have right now,we still are retaining some of them.. hehehe
  20. Peeve: Stubbing my toe first thing in the morning while going to make my tea.. Lego's have nothing on a really good toe stub..
  21. The NUX Avatars can't be better than the better products out there sold by the users running businesses here or LL would be going in direct competition with it's residents.. Their goal is to make a better starting point for new users to help retain new users, not to piss off the Mesh business world and start having them close their doors. New users need something complete that they can work from and learn from.. If some of them or anyone on the grid for that matter, wants to create things for the NUX, they will have the Dev kits for that as well. The learning curve is so much steeper because, new users have to work with a mixed bag of parts.. With the NUX Avatars, they'll be starting off with everything that works together.. They can now get a different head if they want, and learn the differences from their current head.. If they were to ever make a deal for a mesh body on the grid, I would think it would be with Maitreya, because of the amount of content it has on the grid as well as the amount of support it has from the user base.. For a male I would say Signature Gianni or Belleza jake.. Then you still have to cut deals with head creators and then hair creators, skin creators, clothes creators and so on, before they would have a complete mesh avatar ready to go for new users.. A mesh body itself won't fix anything, it would just just add to the already existing curve of mixed parts.
  22. It was said back in the middle of October that we should be seeing the NUX Avatars in a couple of months.. They were introduced 6 months ago at a preview at SL19B. They won't just be mesh bodies, but also mesh heads With Bakes on Mesh, full Wardrobe, Hair, skins and whatever else is coming with them, Plus the Developments kit. The problem new users run into is having to piece things together and getting them all to work.. Most new users are going to go for the free things like the free mesh bodies and free mesh heads.. Most of which hasn't been updated in years.. Now they have to try and mix and match things that work for those.. It takes new users forever and day to get a mesh avatar put together before they can get out there and really start to enjoy SL.. With the Nux complete mesh avatars, not only will it give them a better starting point in the curve, but also opens up more lanes in the world faster with a complete uniform mesh avatar. Right now there are already free mesh bodies they can grab, but then they still have to gather all the rest of the stuff to finish the avatar.. Not just all the other stuff, but the right stuff.. The hair, skins, clothes and so on.. If it were just a free mesh body, the problem would have already fixed itself.. It's the jigsaw puzzle of piecing the perfect Frankenstein together, troubleshooting why this isn't working with that body and this head, why is there a line in my neck , how come my toes are black, where are my eyes, how come I have two sets of eyes and so on, is where the big frustration comes in.. The Nux is so close from what we were told 2 months ago.. We should see them hopefully in this month or the next if they are on target.. A complete Mesh avatar is what new residents need to make the start less frustration, not another part added into the mix of parts already there..
  23. I just got back from my walk that I have in town on their bike and walk path.. It is kind of funny because it's so quiet for this time of the morning.. I don't think I seen any other vehicles on the way there or on the way back or during my whole walk.. Hangovers must really be a pain in the butt I'm guessing.. hehehehe
  24. It happens to me sometimes even if I've crossed 20 sim crossings.. there is sometimes those little buggers that get me when I'm crossing.. I slow down big time when crossing into another sim.. Anytime I'm flying full bore in my boat. *POOF* there goes my stuff again.. hehehe
  25. I think I had a couple of their bodies, but a few months when I went to get a redeliver, they ended up changing something where you had to contact them if your redeliver didn't show up.. I kind of just stopped there.. I never really wore them that much back then.. Plus was working on cleaning my inventory at the time, so I took it as a sign.. hehehehehe
