  1. Gah. Just another dirty dish that needs washing ...
  2. I have my opinion on where it came from but it as as un-provable as god. Yet I have faith in its existance. The universe that is. Not god. Can you at least grasp the concept that I have faith in something that is different than yours? My faith from your point of view seems to be considered childish. That's OK for you to believe and I am not calling you out on that at all. You see, from my POV, faith that a magical being is going to somehow fix all your woes is also just a child's fairy tale. It is what is is. This debate is older than civilization itself. You will never change my mind any more that I will change yours. It is just not going to happen. But can you at least see that we both have faith? Our feelings are very much the same. Our BELIEF is very much the same. We only differ in direction.
  3. Oh the drama. The irony and the tears! Who's god is the real god and can no god be the real god? Will we find out in this war since Abraham's kids had different opinions or will it end in yet another locked thread. We'll find out in just a few moments.
  4. When you put on an item, always ADD instead of WEAR. When you WEAR it kicks off whatever is on that attachment point already. Cuando te pones un artículo, siempre AGREGAR en lugar de DESGASTE. Cuando lo USAS, comienza lo que sea que esté en ese punto de conexión.
  5. Same but reversed. I guess they don't sell fanny packs in the UK.
  6. I remember my pre-bento LOGO heads had static animations you could choose from for the eyes and mouth.
  7. Worried. I had to have the chat with my son AGAIN that unless he wants his father and me to die he needs to stay at home. Which then brought up the conversation with my husband about what will we do if the other one dies. Where are the bills kept, who manages the life insurance, what we want done with our bodies and is the will current. That sort of stuff. Always a load of laughs having that sort of talk Yet still optimistic. Plan for the worst, hope for the best.
  8. This is what I believe in. I am an atheist. I believe in what exists inside this universe. I believe in people. What exists outside of our universe is not important and is unknowable from inside our universe. There is either a whole universe of universes out there or there is nothing. No turtles at all in either of those choices. So no, it is not a simulation inside a simulation nor is it the divine will of Bob. But that's the universe and it is simple to answer. What is life? That's the real question. Life is a time of pain until we are welcomed by the comforting embrace of death. There is plenty of pain to go around; there is no need to be creating more. Thus the two quotes. At least that is what I believe. YMMV
  9. I know of one such case personally. When he called the hospital to ask what he should do they asked him a few questions and then told him he was not at risk and to just stay at home unless it got worse.
  10. That's the Open GL alpha glitch. Nothing you can do about it, really. No fault to the creators; you are doing nothing wrong. It's all because of the choice of graphic engines from the start of SL.
  11. To start with, there is the obvious: create a blog. Usually either WordPress or Blogger There is the official Second Life Bloggers Network you might interested in. Also the unofficial and popular Blogger & Vlogger Network. This has some good info on how to run your blog and use SL to create great pics. Get a Flickr account, join some SL groups and start posting your pictures to them. If you want to attract sponsors you will need to promote your blog and flickr pages. They want to see numbers. How many followers and likes per image mean ... well, everything. You have to sell yourself to the community to get visitors and create good posts to keep them.
  12. Getting the old animation is easy and is the same thing regardless of what brand of AO you have. Putting it into the new AO is going to be different depending on who's scripts your brand of AO uses. OK ... extracting the old run. Rez the old AO in world by dragging it from inventory and dropping it on the ground. Leave the inventory window open. Right-click the rez'ed AO and select Edit. Switch to the Contents tab Search through the contents to find the animation file named something with RUN in the name Drag and drop the identified animation to your inventory. Close out of edit window. Pickup the old AO. You will need to place this animation into your new AO. Some AO's (like Akeyo) will have a nice drag and drop feature but most of the time it will be just the reverse of getting the animation out. Rez the new AO, edit it, drop the animation from inventory to the contents tab. While you are in there, go ahead and remove the "new run" you don't want. After this you will most likely need to edit a notecard in the AO's contents. Look for a Readme notecard or something that looks like instructions. This will tell you how to edit the right notecard. Find "new run" in the text file and replace it with "old run". I would also edit the name of the AO to show my own modified version but you don't have to. Save everything, close it all up and pickup the AO rezzed in world. Right Click and Add the modified AO from inventory
  13. But I'm out of weed! It's an essential. I can't drive 300 miles to the nearest legal dispensary and back in one day.
