  1. Maybe you did try to change it already and the week isn't over? You can also try it in your browser, sometimes people have there more luck: https://my.secondlife.com/111Leeya111 It's the same as you see in the viewer.
  2. Did you try a restart of the sim? Is there set an object bonus at the estate menu? That affects the limits shown at the “About Land“ dialog. You can check that estate menu, look for that here: http://community.secondlife.com/t5/English-Knowledge-Base/Managing-your-parcel/ta-p/700113#Section_.3.2 If there is such a bonus, you can also check with the statistics bar, how many objects are really rezzt. Hit ctrl + shift +1 and look for Objects (here the link to it: http://community.secondlife.com/t5/English-Knowledge-Base/How-to-improve-Viewer-performance/ta-p/1316923#Section_.3 click on Simulator, or scroll down to it and locate Objects. Same for the viewer window. The value given is the actual number of used prims. Remeber, a homestead has only 3750 prims (LI).
  3. If you file a feature request at the JIRA you should be able to set the Security Level there to "Triagers and Reporter" to have it not public. But you would need to test it... I am not 100% sure now. The field appears after filing the request.
  5. It will run, but no fun (means on lowest settings). If you have a low end cpu, it might be really close to not working. Also important that you use Mac OS X 10.7 or newer. There is the list of minimum requirements: https://secondlife.com/my/support/system-requirements/?lang=en-US
  6. Hum, is the account you are speaking of the one you use to ask your question here? Then you have all you need. Because you use the same username and password to login here and SL! If you can't remember the password and the login gets filled auomatically you only need to look into the browsers password manager to get it. Edit: If the account is a different one and you can't login to secondlife.com , you might need to press the button/link "Forgot password?" at the login page. Hopefully you still have the same Email to receive the link you will get.
  7. Right click - Edit and there you can set the gruop at the General tab and there is also the deed button.
  8. Please look into your private message.
  9. The problem is: IM me if you want to chat. And: I don't spend attention to open chat. The worst, it takes sometimes 20 or more minutes to get an answer from those people, because they chat to 20 or more people like this. They don't even know the next day to whom they spoke at all. Silly if they ask for help and just reply every so minutes and if you stop to answer they don't wonder at all. I run a little place with a good friend and when the people are on, we meet pretty often around our fireplaces or any other spot and chat, they also bring their friends and those theirs quite often. So its pretty fun. We use voice chat and text chat and care about those who don't want or can't speak. And yes, sailing, surfing and other stuff in SL is also a good way to spend time and chat.
  10. There is a volume slider for it. Depends on the viewer, but you will find it usually next to a speaker icon at top right hand or bottom right hand. Just look if you lowered it.
  11. I haven't heard the first term, but I would guess that that is the same. To start a conference, you just multiselect several ppl on your friendslist (shift + left click or ctrl + left click) and right click, there should be an option like 'conference chat' (not 100% sure, but you will see it). Depends on the viewer, you can even add people as soon the chat is open, there should be a + or add people button. A file chooser alike dialog will open where you can search and select poeple you want to add.
  12. On the AMD homepage you can see that OpenGL 4.2 is supported (http://www.amd.com/en-us/products/graphics/desktop/7000/). But the card is an older one, but will run SL pretty ok. I have a friend with the same card and he can run at least High settings and better. So far I remember, he even runs on Light&Shadow, even Ultra almost all the time. If you have the right cpu. But you need to make sure you can update to the newest driver from AMD, because older drivers can make issues with some mesh clothes.
  13. There is no difference for the common things you can do in SL. Premium membership is really only for owning mainland or a Linden Home and having a (little) better support. And you get paid a weekly stipend, what can be a plus if you plan to buy L$ anyway. Please take a look at the full list that of options you have with Premium and decide if its worth it for you. And yes, earninmg money is possible also without being a Premium. http://community.secondlife.com/t5/English-Knowledge-Base/Premium-membership/ta-p/1054477
  14. Are you using an AMD graphics card? Then you ran into an issue with the driver, get the latested of the AMD homepage (version 14.4). On a Mac you have bad luck maybe and you need to turn of hardwareskinning. And make sure you use the newest viewer. Older viewers don't support fitted mesh at all.
  15. For multiarch support you can take a look here: http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=2182653 . For AMD drivers you can find here: http://www.amd.com/en-us at drivers&support. You can also use the Synaptic tool to install drivers. They are called fglrx, but you will get always a pretty old version. In case of AMD I recommend the newest or you might run into issues with some Meshclothes. There are some help articles on their webpage too. The opensource drivers might work too, but will never get the full power out of the hardware. No matter what driver you choose, you will need to install the 64 bit support and the 32 bit support as well.
  16. I will add something from my own experience! I was a model in 3 modeling agencies and NEVER paid any classes! They wanted me modelling for them and teached me all I needed to know. You did fall for it. There is no official paper for anything in SL for SL related things. All I did was buying a bunch of poses and animations I needed to do a proper catwalk. As a kid avatar they also didn't ask you to buy different skins, because there are not too many (real good) ones to choose from. Which is different for adults, where you will need more than one skin sooner or later. And tons of walks and poses.
  17. You can contact their service here: https://support.secondlife.com/create-case/ Select the topic 'account creation issue'.
  18. Use Me - Picks, or add the button Picks to the toolbar buttons. Click in the picks window the + at bottom.
  19. Adding to Ohjiro's answer: You can't delete systemfolders tho. Like the library, my outfits etc...
  20. Capital letters are not needed. You will need to contact the support, tell them all details you have. Most likely they want some proof of your ID then. Read carefully the link I post here and follow it: http://community.secondlife.com/t5/English-Knowledge-Base/Password-and-account-information/ta-p/700017#Section_.1 If your SL account has been stolen too, you should follow this link instead: http://community.secondlife.com/t5/English-Knowledge-Base/Password-and-account-information/ta-p/700017#Section_.5 And try to get your email account back.
  21. If you use a Nvidia or AMD graphics card, install their proprietary driver. If your system is 64 bit, install multiarch support. Ubuntu has a wide range of support to learn how, like their huge forum. If that is done, unpack the viewer of your choice to a path of your choice. Locate the startfile 'secondlife' and start it. Please, if you ask such a question, always add the PC specs, at least if you run 32 or 64 bit OS and what graphic card.
  22. I assume you mean FirstMeta. You must ask them. They have a support Email (support@firstmeta.com), but I guess they will have also a ticketsystem or similar.
  23. I trying to guess what you ask. The item asks you to get access to your Lindendollars? In that case I would say it is safe and needed too, because the rentboxes must be able to pay back any wrong amount of L$ paid into the system. Otherwise you would have to do too much to sort out every wrong payment.
  24. I would remove any e-mail from yuor post (or do you like to have even more spam?) and also not post private data here (just for the future), because this is public even to search engines... We are also only Residents like you and can't look into your problem, BUT we can help you to find the right place to ask. This link will lead you to the right place: https://support.secondlife.com/billing-support/
