  1. Hello, this is a resident to resident help, almost never a Linden will look here, so don't expect an answer from them Thats a question to Micheal Linden, he is the head of the LDPW (http://wiki.secondlife.com/wiki/LDPW) and the lead of the Moles. You can contact him via a support case I guess (usually you open a case if you have some trouble on mainland with LDPW builds). In my opinion it is pretty unlikely that you will get one.
  2. Hello. Besides your issues one more thing. The answers and forums are not really read by a Lindenlab employee. It is resident to resident help! Plus everyone can read it, even if they don't have an account at all. Long story short: don't give any private data here, like a phone number, an email.. whatever, only if you wish mass email and nice phone calls
  3. I don't think that the licence is for free. You will need to buy one. http://www.vivox.com/contact-us/index.html

  6. It is possible to run SL on a laptop, but since the parts inside are pretty tight and usually the cooling via the fans is pretty tricky, you will need to clean a laptop much more often compared to a desktop PC! In some cases using of a cooling pad is helpful too.
  7. It might be connected to this issue: https://community.secondlife.com/t5/Status-Grid/POSTED-Unscheduled-Billing-Maintenance/ba-p/3053108 Please wait, till the issue is solved and if your order doesn't show up, call their billing team.
  8. https://community.secondlife.com/t5/Status-Grid/POSTED-Unscheduled-Billing-Maintenance/ba-p/3053108 BTW, this is resident to resident help and no LindenLab employee will ever look here. But the link explains why your order failed. Try to buy after the issue is resolved. And for your own safety, remove your pesonal data from the post.
  10. Not with this amount of data you provide. You need to add your PC's specs. Best is to copy the content of the window, that cones up, if you click 'Help -> About Secondlife' at the Viewer!
  11. Folge den ANweisungen hier: http://wiki.secondlife.com/wiki/Linden_Lab_Official:Account_Security
  12. Hello, I'm a 14ish elf boy. But european. You can also try the term 'youthspot' in search. Most kid friendly places use that term in their land description and groups too. Also try terms like family rp etc... Good luck.
  13. Eh, almost a year premium member and NOW you start to care? Bit late, isn't it? Anyway, ask LL, their billing team will help you. https://support.secondlife.com/billing-support/
  14. I'd go for option 2, the CPU is more than enough and the graphics card is pretty good, not to say some overkill for SL;) This PC will even able to handle the Oculus Rift, if I remember right. The I3 is working good too, but if you use more programs at a time it would slow down things. Option 3 would be my 2nd choice, all well balanced in my opinion and enough for SL. Option 4 has an I7, but of the downside a more weaker graphics card.
  15. Open a case here: https://support.secondlife.com/contact-support/ and wait for response. They might ask you to provide any ID to prove your DOB. Good luck.
  16. Since LL doesn't do any bugfixing anymore, you will be out of luck. https://community.secondlife.com/t5/Tools-and-Technology/An-Update-on-Linux-Viewer-Development/ba-p/2932036 As it seems, the viewer starts on Intel CPU machines, but not on AMD. But even if it starts, it lacks major features, sound isn't working at all, no media!
  17. Looks for me like missing basic shaders. If you can't turn them on, no luck. All viewers should be able to do it, so it is your laptop. If you want to know for sure, just paste the windows content of "Help->About Second Life" (or the third party's viewer name, if you use any).
  18. Sorry, but your system is far below the System Requirements as stated here: https://secondlife.com/my/support/system-requirements/index.php?lang=en-US Your CPU is an APU with a cheap, low end "graphics card" (like the Intel HD Graphics), which isn't listed as running. Also, an APU system is not as powerfull as a "real" CPU. The CPU part of your system is also a single core CPU only. Also AMD confuse their costumers often, when they change the names of their products too.You will need a major upgrade of your PC before you can use SL.
  19. Hello, The servers of Linden Lab and your browser use some kind of a secure connection, so nobody can read along. This method has been updated to make the connection even more secure. If you want to know, if your browser can handle this new version for the security you click the link given in the blog (https://www.howsmyssl.com/). The result should bring up something like the picture shows below the link (Version in bold letters). Then all is fine. Otherwise you will need to update your browser of your choice. It can be one of the four listet browsers. Also your viewer uses a browser, for example to open the search or profiles and some other stuff or to watch video in SL. This browser in the viewer needs also the newest way to be able to make L$ transactions. Most well known viewers are uptodate already, like the SL viewer, Firestorm, Alchemy. Some other, older viewer might not have that support.
  20. To understand meshbodies and the pro's and con's I suggest to read this blog: http://meshbodyaddicts.com/ And no, 'default' clothes won't show up (texture clothes called too).
  22. I don't know if it will work, but I use a Space Navigator with sucess. You may take a look here: http://wiki.secondlife.com/wiki/Viewerhelp:Joystick_Configuration I also saw video sometime ago about that topic, but can't remember where. A thread in the forum section about: https://community.secondlife.com/t5/Second-Life-Viewer/Gamepad-controllers/m-p/1976023#M19188
  23. The joystick input isn't used at all? Well, I use my Space Navigator with it very well.
  24. Hallo, probiere bitte das hier: http://wiki.phoenixviewer.com/fs_missing_inventory
