I hope people who know more about this than I do *do* test the theory! All I can offer is the perception of myself and one other non-tech person, so I'd be very interested in some concrete investigation.

For me, the lag I notice most comes when someone has linked so many items together (to save on LI usage) that they have created a monstrous 1,000,000-triangle linked object. Someone asked me one time why her parcel was laggy. I inspected and pointed out the really high-triangle landscaping object she had created, and after she unlinked, the parcel became much easier to move around. I have no idea whether this is a valid theory, but the experience that lag lowered after unlinking held true for us both. I have done the same in all my homes and found them easier to move around.

Yeah, I don't really want a stilt home either, I'm more interested in trying to figure out why people are convinced they will be released this week. lol

There has definitely been at least one late night release; I believe it was log cabins but I don't have time to try to wade through the GOH thread to find the specifics. I know it happened, though, because I caught a home in that release, and there were complaints because a lot of people were asleep at the time. At any rate, and I'm not even sure if by "they" you mean Lindens and/or Moles, I don't think stilts will come out this week. I do think that they are working on them (and futures themes) as we speak.

I've seen them working much later than that (even at 8 PM SLT), and I have also seen releases after 3 PM SLT.

It's only 1 PM SLT..... (but I don't think they will release today, or this week, either.)

I'm as curious about new releases as anyone else, but I really don't see why being patient is such a problem. Patch clearly cannot give a specific date because there is too much going on right now. I wouldn't blame him if he just stops giving hints altogether if it's going to cause so much angst.

It looks to me like Patch may be hinting beyond the previous hinted release. In other words: Stilts, Cottage whatever it is, and then Castles?

I don't know any reason why they would remove it from the covenant. I do think, however, that political commentary in the LH threads is a bit out of line (and I don't like him, either, but come on now.)
