  1. Logging on my alt now to toss a trad in Deermoor. Corner parcel with railroad track running right behind it.
  2. Just caught and tossed back a Vic in Ragamuffin. It's still in Maintenance, not yet showing on LP. EDIT: Camper now on LP.
  3. Which is the same thing I said about orientation of the various models of boats. OK.
  4. I would like to see a screenshot of this, because I am at my square HB parcel right now, not seeing this option on the menu.
  5. HBs are a bit more plentiful at the moment due to the upcoming stilt homes release, but in general, they tend to be scarce on the LP. I'd say right now is a pretty decent time to try to catch a HB, so if you are inclined to gamble, this might be when you should consider doing so.
  6. If you don't like not having seasons.... omg.. this is SL... you get all the good and ignore the bad... sheesh.
  7. Except for the people who think rectangles are better. There are pro's and con's to both! I have had both, and liked them equally for different reasons. A lot of it had to do with the location of the parcel itself in relation to its surroundings and other boats in the area, as well as the orientation of the various models on the particular parcel. There is no one right answer to the question because there are too many variables.
  8. Lock the door behind the new owner! Don't let them leave! 😂
  9. It would be nice if Alwin would return and clarify the issue for us. As it is, I *think* he means he has posted not in the GOH thread, but in other LH threads (probably "Beautiful Abandons"), showing nice homes he has caught, and that someone has been pestering him to release those nice homes. But... it would be nice to know, once a thread has been started, what the OP is talking about.
  10. This is exactly how I read it. Over months, he (and/or his alts) have posted in the forums about parcels they caught. Someone is messaging him (and/or his alts) in world wanting to know if he abandons these parcels. If it's just one person messaging, I would just block them if they are being annoying about it. If they only asked once, that's not spam, so I'm assuming they are asking repeatedly.
  11. Congrats, that's a great area! I used to have a HB next door in Dahm Strait, and I liked to use the Evening Star model there because the orientation of the HB made it so that I could see the little hilly area next to me and only a bit of other HBs (and lots of water).
  12. I like to play with textures on things, and the answer to this in my experience is "it depends". Some items do seem to be textured so that if you replace the texture, you really lose the intended look. It's quite possible there is a way around this, as I am no expert on the topic. I just play around, taking things apart and making them into something else. I've had good success using textures that come with the materials (normal and specular map) textures included, so that when I apply all three textures, I get the 3-D look.
  13. Just caught and released a Vic in Ragamuffin. It's not yet been claimed (the Carrollton Bay one was claimed immediately).
  14. LP is slow this morning. I saw one HB a little while ago that vanished instantly, and just now caught a Vic in Carrollton Bay, which I will be tossing back as soon as I log on my alt (which I am doing right now).
  15. I don't even decorate for Christmas, but I had to buy that tree because it looked so nice and was so low LI. 😂
  16. (My guess is that Leora meant she had not heard of the region named Ragamuffin, not that she didn't know what the word means. ) Still older homes on LP.
  17. The only other one I see at the moment is Ramsgate, which appears to be Vics.
  18. I said the same thing! I thought all named Vic regions had already been released.
  19. The matching tub and add-on set (that go with the above vanity) are L$60 each at Muniick.
  20. My observation is that this sort of thing is low priority. I won't say it's not enforced, but I have seen some examples I've reported stay in place for a long time. The easiest and fastest solution, if you use a viewer that can do it, is to just derender. I do that all the time with the silly flat green squares that inevitably show up in any beach area.
