  1. Thank you Valerie, and big hugs...I am very glad to see another photo thread started by you, I always love them!! P.S. Ignore Maddy, she needed to be shot....trust me. :smileyvery-happy::smileytongue:
  2. My assumption from my own experiences on having estate homes is that if you "sell" to me, I get estate manager rights and my name is listed as the owner of the parcel. If you "rent" to me, you may give me some rights like terraforming, but I do not get the full ownership rights.
  3. I'm not in world at the moment, so can I cheat by posting an old pic (and only picking one month)? :smileyvery-happy: If so, I'll say this one is April...
  4. Since you got a message saying the attempt failed, it should be in your inventory. Have you tried clearing your cache? That often makes "missing" objects reappear.
  5. Ariel Vuissent wrote: I like owning land. I don't have to, and I may someday choose to return to not owning land. I don't see why this is any of your concern. I'm not asking you to own land, or looking down on you for choosing not to do so. As far as I can tell, neither is anyone in this thread. You simply decided to post about what you percieve as the "real issue." I percieve it differently. You have every right to choose not to own land, as do the many others who choose the same. Those of us who choose to own land, on the other hand, have every right to do so. And in fact, many of those who choose to own land are the ones you can thank for everything you enjoy in SL. Shopping, dancing, etc, all things you do on land paid for by other residents. Personally, if I read this and owned a business, such as a dance club, I might be moved to put you on a ban list, since you clearly don't respect the work and money that others put into SL so that you may have a good time. Choose to own land, or not, but there's no reason to publicly dismiss and insult those who choose otherwise. ^^ QFT @JeanneAnne: Where do you get the idea that anyone thinks that the land in SL is "real"? And why are you so disturbed (to the point of being insulting) that people choose to pay to provide you with the very entertainment you enjoy for free? Honestly, it sounds like you have a bad case of envy going on here...I can't think of any other reason someone would insult people who are doing nothing to you other than providing places for you to have a good time.
  6. I was a bit surprised to be the only one there, and got so caught up in photographing the melons (you're not the only one to note their awesomeness), that I forgot to look for the witches brew. I'll have to make a return visit, I guess! Perhaps traffic will pick up once word gets out about the melons.
  7. I'm in the same situation lol....I haven't decided what look to go with next, but in general, I've liked Carpe Diem shapes. Alter Ego also has some nice ones.
  8. Thanks, Kylie! The limited offer has expired, but the booties are really cute and only L$99, so I picked up a pair. :smileyhappy:
  9. Wow, some of the cocktails at Murray are huge! I didn't find any appetizers, though I guess I can eat this melon if I ever finish the drink inside of it...
  10. Alas, the cad stood me up, so I was stuck in that seedy location! (Actually, the only nice place I know is Franks, but I didn't want to copy your story *too* closely.)
  11. Here I am wondering if my secret lover ran off with the one that you misplaced in the Vanity thread...
  12. Cinnamon Mistwood wrote: @ Sylvia(again) - 1,000,000 pts - What? I'm a girl... Sympathy with my hair plight goes a long way. *All points can be redeemed in-world for a dance at your favorite venue or a kind word when you are feeling down. The choice is yours. Careful...I have about that many ballgowns that I've never worn, and I do love to dance... :smileyvery-happy:
  13. Psst, Maz....you forgot to mention that it would be a big nude beach. :smileywink:
  14. OK I just had to try that. I rezzed a cube then checked my prim count. I then sat my avatar on the cube and checked again, and the prim count hadn't changed. So now I'm sitting there looking cool on my plywood cube. :smileyvery-happy:
  15. Thanks for posting that, Love...I'm going to check it out! Like Cinnamon, I don't really want hats with hair already attached; I'd rather be able to mix and match. :smileyhappy:
  16. Along the same lines...the swim ball I have actually comes from a rezzer that is underwater (and transparent). So if I delete the swim ball, that doesn't make the rezzer itself go away. I suspect that's what's going on for you, and that you should be able to find it using Suella's suggestion.
  17. I've never found any that I truly like, so what I've been doing is make a copy of a style I do like, put the hat on, then edit individual hair pieces so they aren't poking out. Which is a PITA, so I seldom wear hats. :smileyvery-happy:
  18. Relaxing at the beautiful Japan Project Garden
  19. Simply put, because I like to have the land...it's what *I* enjoy. I'm not sure why it disturbs you so much that a lot of us (who, as a side note, happen to be financially supporting the SL that *you* enjoy), spend money on it . As to addressing the real issue...the issue/topic for this thread is "squatting", so I think we were addressing the real issue.
  20. Items in your inventory don't count toward prims that you have used on your land (nor do items that you wear, for that matter). Only rezzed items count. :smileyhappy:
  21. I think I missed this thread the first time around, so thanks for reviving it! I love to get dressed up and to see others doing the same. P.S. Don't let Wildcat drive if she's had a cocktail or three.
  22. @Dee: Don't you have those prim boots in black yet?? No wait...color change would be even better, then I could wear them with *everything*.
  23. Sorry, but I think this is a terrible idea. Peggy's already explained why very well, so I'll just add that I have no desire to have squatters as neighbors...simply because they have made no financial investment. Now you might argue that their "investment" is the desire to keep their handout, but how does that help LL? Are these people ever going to be motivated to buy land when they can have it for free? The simple answer is, if you want some land, get a job in world and earn the lindens to cover your rent. (Although honestly I think that if someone can afford a computer and Internet connection, they can probably come up with the means to rent or own land....if they're not given a free alternative.)
  24. Hippie Bowman wrote: Good morning all! Great tunes Love and Wildcat! I have breakfast today. Don't want a hungry kitty on our hands! HEHE!
