The first thing I'd do is check to make sure you don't have an antivirus program that's blocking your access. Have you tried that?

I wound up moving to the "alternate" release FS 3.2.1 (24179) and am getting around much better with it. Still no clouds though! :smileyvery-happy: ETA: Scratch that, I enabled atmospheric shaders and now I have clouds. Unfortunately, it slowed things down enough that I can't walk. Meh.

Yes, you can use textures in your profile Picks. When you edit the Pick, click on the photo area and a box will pop up that shows you the photos/textures you can choose from. Give it a try! :smileyhappy:

Is everyone allowed to terraform there? If so, it's possible that it's the work of griefers (I've seen photos of this sort of thing and it's not pretty)....and you need to turn that off ASAP. Oh, and the "help" section here is called Answers. You can find it on a tab up at the top right next to the Forums tab. :smileyhappy:

Have you checked with your mutual friends to see if any of them have heard from him? It's possible that one of them might have contact with him outside of SL via email, etc.

Exactly what Rolig said...and it is very cool to watch! Remember that today is Tuesday, which is "rolling restart" day for SL. So sims go off and online all day long, and if you're really lucky, you'll get chased from one sim to another as the restarts follow you. (OK, maybe that's just me that happens to...)

I just posted in the other FS thread that I think I'll try to go to an earlier FS version...I don't care much about clouds for now, but the inability to TP anywhere is cramping my social life. :smileyvery-happy:

I had this happen recently with two items I tried to rez, both of them prim cubes that I had created and had stored things in. I got a message "object failed to rez", but they didn't reappear in my inventory. I cleared cache and relogged, and one of them items showed up in inventory, but the other did not. I filed a support ticket and after going through all the suggestions from the Wiki, failed to recover the lost item. The support response to that was to close my ticket. To date, the item has not reappeared and I've run out of things to try. :smileymad:

And I have no clouds, but I do have lovely water! *laughs* Maybe I should have tried the beta...I wonder if it's too late to move back to it?

Did your shaders get turned off somehow, Ian? That might explain the water issue....I think the clouds are gone for everyone now due to something LL is working on with them.

Yes, the cache clearing doesn't happen until you log out and then log back in again...I'm glad your problem is fixed! :smileyhappy:

I'm so envious of those of you that can use shadows! I tried again today with the new FS viewer and my computer and I both almost had a meltdown. So I consoled myself by buying a pair of glasses and visiting DePaul University instead. :smileytongue:

A lot of people have specific things they want in land they are going to buy, which is why you see sellers here using descriptions like that...it's to give potential buyers an idea what exactly is being sold. If you don't care about any of the "special" features and just want an adult parcel, I'd suggest just pulling up the map when you are in world, look for the parcels for sale in adult sims, and start TPing around. As far as I know, the only way to buy anything less than a full sim from LL is to buy abandoned land. I don't see any advantage to buying from LL over buying from anyone else, as long as the parcel is what you want and the price is fair.

Yours looks a lot like mine, Caity, except you have more HUDs so yours is a bit more festive. :smileytongue:
