I agree. There really is no excuse for the auctions to being down this long. Of course you can look for advertised land in the forums and sl mp, but that doesn't give you all options.

My recommendation to anyone looking to start a business in sl, is will this make you happy even if it does not make money? If the answer is yes, go for it. If not, and it would cost real life money, don't do it.

The land business in general is not what it used to be. Profits are down, land prices are down, rental prices are down. IMO people who are buying land are not going to value the land higher if the land is "done". This is a generalization, but broadly true enough to not make it a good business model.

I did not call you out as such by name , but if the shoe fits............. You seemed to take glee (taking the time to underline and color text) in your "correction" of his language. No one is "trying to drill" in language except you and other people without purpose.

Pinkk, please keep in mind that there are many people who feel the need to show how much they "know". You will figure out how to sift through the nonsense posts with time. There are a few people in the forums who I consider trolls. You can click on any name of a poster to see their other posts. You can deed your land to a group you own without giving up any rights or control. As long as you are the owner of the group, you will have the same control as you would if you left the land in your own name. Many landowners do this to get the additional prim allowance. Jaysson, you will find that here in the forums there are many people who post out of boredom, and have nothing substantial to add the original topic, sadly. Most of the replies to your post are of this kind. There are no records available to your landlord for items that you placed and then removed. As long as you comply with general LL rules of conduct, and any rules your landlord gave you, you will be fine.

Hi Ronwald. Have you thought about buying mesh clothing full perm? They usually come with shadow maps that are fairly easy to apply textures to. Inverse has pretty decent homes for good prices. Fanatik has great builds, but much higher prices. I agree with Moira that you should look inworld before purchasing (and her other advice). Also, one way to make sure a home you are looking to buy will fit on your land is to make a prim the same size as the house on your land.

Your post was not accurate. The sign is not floating. Again, this post was for land for rent, and your response adds nothing to the conversation. If you have any questions about renting this land, please let me know. Otherwise, your responses are just noise. If noise instead of meaningful content is your goal, then you have certainly achieved that.

As general advice, I recommend that you find something to do besides posting in a way that does not add to the conversation of the post. It is not my responsibility to make sure you have visited my land to ensure that you are not posting something that is untrue. I'm sure posting here has alleviated your boredom in some small way, but I remind you that this forum post was for a land rental. You are adding nothing with your opinion about my graphic settings. You might be better served by finding another outlet for your boredom than by spamming this post.

I know some people like to post in the forums because they bored, and don't have anything to add to the conversation. I accept this as a necessary evil of the forums, but if you want to post something unrelated to the original post, at least make sure you are saying something accurate. The billboard is not floating. The signpost does not show in the picture because of my graphics. If you want to criticize my photography, that would at least be something based in reality. This is not semantics. My objection to your post and the previous one you referenced is that your statements are not true.

Ellestones, that is not a floating rental sign. It is a billboard. Being a responsible forum poster, you might want to make sure your posts are accurate.

Again, this person rented a parcel from us without asking any questions, so his concerns about the land being "flat" are silly, as are his statements about not knowing whether or not we allow breedables. He rented the land without asking any questions. After he had rented for a few days and said he didn't need that much land, I offered to move him to a smaller parcel and credit his account on the new land with the remaining balance from the original parcel, which he took me up on. He had only a few days credit, but I gave him a whole week since we try to give great customer service, so I have to say I am shocked to read this panning of our land by this person.

Liam, you saw the land before you rented it. I also moved you to another property with credit from this one week rental. You need to be more responsible about posting lies in this forum. You say in this post also you don't know if breedables are allowed, and, again, you did not ask this before renting. I told you as you remember that you can have them. We have quality land with quality service. I have gone above and beyond trying to make this person happy.
