Unfortunately there is no one right way to handle it. You could go with any of the suggestions here, it just depends on what way you are comfortable with. Mainland is like the wild west- no rules, and LL won't help you. It's sad that there are a-holes like your neighbor. Best of luck, and let us know how it goes.

Cindy, Your post was not helpful or relevant. If you read my original post, you will see that I am leaving second life. I'm sure you found some kind of satisfaction by posting here, but it was not helpful. You can actually prove a point for me now about the forums. Since I have said your post is unhelpful and unwelcome to me, the right thing to do would be to not post in this thread again.

Kanry, I'm sure you mean well, but that thing is one of my trolls. Also, I said I was leaving second life, so telling me how I am managing the forums wrong is completely not helpful or relevant.

Hi Moira. Thanks for your reply. The issue to me is not about the forums- it's about the way second life handles complaints. I really don't care if the troller gets satisfaction from me leaving. I just have to decide whether or not staying is worth it. Annabell

To clarify, this happened on the forums, and I was banned in second life. I have had no negative interactions in second life.

I do appreciate the two responses here, but I am leaving. It would be so nice if one person gave me a nice goodbye.

Grace and style is not what came to me, and not how I will respond now. If this is how second life works- people are *****ty to you, complain, and I get banned for three days, this is not a place I want to be.

Hello I was just banned from second life for three days. Someone was trolling me, and I responded, and I guess he has more power than I do. I have been in sl for about seven years (I can't verify that now since I am banned). I have had several businesses, and still have a marketplace business. I can't even begin to count how much money I have spent in second life. I am leaving second life, as much as that causes me great pain, but I am not willing to stay in a place where this can happen. I know there will be ugly and trolling responses, but I just had to share this in a place where people would understand how big it is. My best to all the good people in second life. I have enjoyed it in ways I can't express.

@Wulfie Reanimator since you have been so free with your response, I'm sure will understand if I give my input to every post you make in the sl forums. And I do mean every one.

To the trolls on this forum post: This is a post to highlight land that is for rent. If you choose to post something that is not about this land, you are a troll. If you choose to pick apart my post, and are not looking for land, you are a troll. Trolls are people whose lives are so vacuous and without meaning that they are compelled to write meaningless strings of letters to try to fill their meaningless lives. I should pity them, but I don't. Trolls, unfortunately, are a common thing in the sl forums,.

I find it amusing that you characterize what you said as 'giving advice". Far from it. You are adding exactly nothing to this post, in addition to attacking my business. I again suggest you find a meaningful way to add content both to these forums and to second life. Your comments about my actions in my business are greatly offensive. You clearly have no sl business of your own or you would realize what your words mean.

To this poster: I'm sure this post gave you some kind of ease from your boredom, but also, you are attacking my business. There really is no excuse for this. Perhaps this poster could look for more meaningful ways to "contribute" to the forums, and to second life.

Please try to ignore the nonsense posts in this thread. Unfortunately, some people are so bored that they feel the need to post non-helpful posts. I guess their lives are just that empty.
