  1. And this Whaleback release at 09:12 am SLT I didn't even notice Came home about 9:00 started the autorefresh and began reading and posting in this thread ... must have JUST been over by then. Autorefresh found a house at 9:12 and a boat 9:42 ... tried for both but caught neither ... didn't feel like a release more like abandoneds. Well I didn't have an eye on Whaleback anyway.
  2. WE had an early release and a late one! Monday we had ... early at 06:50 am SLT Bennetts Cove released late at 02:39 pm SLT Gentle Grove released
  3. It is a bit complicated with the dropdown menue: You have the landpage, put in a name - hit NEXT - hit BACK - now the name you chose is saved and will be there every time you refresh. But your (presumably) preference of "Meadowbrook" is ALSO saved! They do not show you Bellisseria even when it is awailable but hide it as first item in the dropdown menue. Autorefresh finds it there but you do not see it. Only by each time klicking the dropdown menue after F5 NOW you have your first Bellisseria - hit NEXT ... but (in 90 % of the cases) ... "sorry not awailable select another combination" ... so back WITH THAT link... But NOW finally they have registered that Bellisseria is whhat you are looking for and show it to you whenever it's available!
  4. Well obviously two releases a day with a gap of hours between them might become the new normal. People really wanting and needing a home cannot afford any beaks anymore! Thank God I am out of the game ... or just playing it left handed ocasionally for amusement in future.
  5. You DO love to tell other people how to behave, don't you? I think you did hear from multiple people that they do not like this, still you keep on. Are you by any chance a teacher in RL? I am too old to be told off by you!
  6. Funny how different people feel - might have to do with country, habits ... or age??? I do not think it at all "creepy" if the last owner stays in front of the house in the street to see who gets his abandoned parcel. I would perhaps not like if he stayed INSIDE the house. I never do that. I abandon and TP out into the street. And I wouldn't mind at all if he talked to me and asked whether I will keep it. Either he just got it and abandoned at once - then he wants to make sure he doesn't get it again in 5 minutes. Or he has lived there long and liked it a lot (like me with Sorensen). Then he would like to give it into the hands of someone who appreciates it - like when you sell a dog.
  7. Why not? It is not as if I would ask them if they will divorce their husband! *lol* I just say "Hi I abandoned this. Are you going to keep it?" It is natural that I want to be sure not to get my own parcel back next 5 minutes!
  8. You could have tried for my abandoned! ... new owner just arrived! Let's see if she keeps it!
  9. All who missed out .... Houseboat in Bennetts Cove going back in 3 minutes at 7:10 am SLT Details see here DONE !! ..... still Governor Lindens after 1 minute ...TAKEN after 3 Minutes,,, by an avatar born 3 days ago by the name of "RecentlyTaken" !! ...*lol* may he enjoy it! PS: he arrived ... let's see if he keeps it ...NO!! Governor Lindens again after 7 minutes! ... and taken again!! seconds later!
  10. Houseboat in Bennetts Cove going back in 6 minutes at 7:10 am SLT http://maps.secondlife.com/secondlife/Bennetts Cove/217/149/28 landbound three rows - the brown barnacle - evening star faces land
  11. Release Bennetts Cove! got one! - landbound - will likely release .... later!
  12. Just saw a houseboat 6:39 am SLT (some time ago a house 6:18 am SLT) ... no catch.
  13. Going to abandon Sorensen house (see above) in 3 minutes ... PS: DONE ... Governor Lindens ... and TAKEN in seconds!
  14. House in Sorensen going back into the pool at 6:00 am SLT ... more details HERE
  15. I finally decided to abandon a house in Sorensen that my alt got on April 16th on the second day of the very forst Bellisseria release. I liked it a lot and could not bring myself to leave it till now. It is in the second row not sooo near the seashore but with a full view of the sea and a little walk down the hill there is a very natural feeling seashore wit not too many houseboats. I posted a lot of pictures HERE and you can take a look yourself (house is open for public) http://maps.secondlife.com/secondlife/Sorensen/202/240/26 I will abandon at 6:00 am SLT - hopefully before any release is expected so not to interfere with that.
  16. During the Well Springs release I saw heaps of this "sorry no longer available please select another combination". I am used to this! You just click on the link, go back - see another house (or the same?) - click next again - get the "sorry bla bla" again and so keep clicking back and forth till finally you usually get a home ... which MIGHT be one of the first quick abandonedes allready. I got one in the third row ... abandoned it about 10 minutes later ... and missed out Rocky Hights completely. But all this time there was not one "unknown error" I have had that sometimes LONG time ago ... and learned that you just have to refesh THIS error page and have a home!
  17. Because I think you mean me when you talk of "drama" in this thread I want to point out that the "drama" in inworld chat has defenitely nothing to do with ME. I hate chats and rarely ever post in the inworld groupchats - if at all then just to enquire if there has been any news of a release yet. - So there must be more than one person you mean.
  18. Once I was at it checking double releases I checked them all ... there have been the following: Ancoraggio and Cape Lively Friday 12th of July 11:20 am SLT Evard and Guppy Wednesday 24th of July 10:25 am SLT Seal Point and Widow Point Friday 9th of August 9:03 am SLT Limevale and Walrus Beach Monday 26th of August 9:53 am SLT Between none of those has been a break that I could distinguish AND there has been this Friday 18th of October Well Springs at 9:30 am SLT and Rocky Heights at 11:05 am SLT - a break of 90 Minutes!!
  19. That was a surplus and appreciated for this Monday was a holiday only in USA and other people around the world would likely not know about it and keep refreshing and hoping all Monday 6 am to 4 pm. The triple release on 16th August might not have been the same instant but sort of BAM - BAM - BAM ... people were exclaiming "I got a house in Jefferson" - "I got a house in Aurelia" all mixed up ... the first mention of something being restarted was at 11:38 am SLT and the last mention of it having been THREE regions was at 11:58 am SLT
  20. I looked up the records ... as far as I can see it was Jefferson Park, Everett and Light of Aurelia released on Friday 16th of August at 11:38 am SLT all at once ... see here (and the following posts)
  21. I could not go back - and never wished to do - and never did. My first home back in 2007 was on land I "bought" from Anshe Chung .. not realising that the tier fee monthly would soon be more than the price I had payed. I managed to get cheap a seashore lot because it was on the side of a hill - difficult to build on. I put a house there I bought - half sticking it into the hillside - and enjoyed the view. I had the shore to myself though for the land between me and the sea had been bought by a man who was never there .... just hoping the price would rise LeoraNeu06 by Leora Jacobus, auf Flickr I talked to him and he allowed me to rezz a deckchair ... which you see in the background. I must say that for 2007 the landscapes that Anshe Chung and her people created were just great! fell in love with the "Silvercoast" at first sight ... my preference for seashore-regions has lasted till today!
  22. Not really! The quality of a plot is ALL about landscaping, view, position. EVERY issue you might have with the house itself can be solved ... first by rezzing another ... if that does not help reset the postbox (klicking loooong on it) ... and if THAT does not help file an AR or contact the moles in some other way ... they are sure to straigthen that problem in short time for you. There have been other people with that problem ... all solved! There is a whole thread about it:
  23. YES! - I sooo agree with you! As to love: my mother said about 55 after her divorce : "You cannot be single enough!!" .... and being widowed (having lived several years seperated before) and now pensioned I soooooo agree with her!! And as to homes: this is a point that in SL more ressembles love than RL househunting: A partner you wish for but do not NEED ... a home in RL you DO need (or become a homeless hobo under the bridge) in SL you don't! So just in SL you can afford to stay "single" and homeless till love at first sight hits you!
