What will keep all the people who are already making clothing for Maitreya from continuing to make it? Considering that there are so many, I doubt there'll be a shortage of clothing for it in my lifetime.

The current Maitreya autohide script does just that. Unlike many of the posters here, I have had excellent results with the current Maitreya autohide. My bane is no-mod clothing containing the old version that does not unhide when detached.

Although it's not supported, I have had no problems wearing multiple Maitreya tattoo layers at the same time. I did it so I could wear multiple applier tattoos. It was a way to have asymmetrical arm tattoos.

I am the founder and sole owner of a group that owns a mainland parcel. I have a coalesced object that I am trying to rez on the parcel. I have tried repeatedly over a day and several relogs without success. When I try to rez it, a message saying the owner of the land does not allow it and telling me use the land tool to see land ownership appears. What is going on? How can I fix it?

Not necessarily. The shoulders are only a problem when they are exposed. We need two versions of the body, one with improved shoulder-arm shape for use with clothing that bares them, and one with unchanged shoulders for use with clothing that covers them. Of course, going forward, creators could make all clothing for the improved version.

I have read many times that too many scripts running in a region can cause lag. I am wondering how much difference it makes if the scripts are short and simple versus long and complex. The context is a building where I have many copies of the same scripted furniture. It would be 98% as useful to have only a few copies with the full scripts. I don't want to just delete the scripts from the other copies because users are likely to be confused. What I'm considering is replacing them with a short, simple script that would tell people who clicked on them to use the ones that had the full scripts. I only want to do this if it would make a difference.

It seems like an easy fix would be to devise algorithms to determine a default resolution necessary for an acceptable appearance for whatever a texture is being used for and render it at that resolution. Perhaps let users opt for a higher resolution for a price.

The concept of having a limited set of functions available for new users was sound. The execution was poor because the people who made the decisions about what to include did not understand SL users. Nobody wanted to use the basic viewer because it didn't let them do things that everyone wants to do immediately. I have long thought that LL would do well to revive the idea and do a better job with it.

Let me explain how I've used links outside outfits and why I asked the question. My Clothing folder is organized by type of item, e.g., Dresses, Skirts, Tops, Pants, etc. There is also an "Outfits" folder within my Clothing folder for ensembles containing more than one item, e.g., top, skirt, and shoes. In such an instance, I have been putting links to the components in the appropriate folder for the item, e.g., a link to the top in the Tops folder. When I started doing it that way, I assumed tht links consumed less storage than copies, which would otherwise serve as well. If they don't, I may as well use copies.

Wen I saw the new name change prices, my thought was that I have no use for the reduced PP price because i don't want to change my name, and the price for basic accounts is still way too high for my alts. I wish they'd let me change theirs for $15.

I probably spend over ninety percent of my time in adult regions. It's been at least a dozen years since I've seen behavior that would violate the current TOS. I don't go looking for bad stuff, but I make no effort to avoid it, and I don't find it. Therefore, I don't believe that there is a problem, or a blemish on SL's image, that needs cleaning up. If I don't stumble onto it, I don't think anyone is likely to, and people who look for it for it are not likely to be offended when they find it.

I do think going to BOM only was a big mistake, and I couldn't understand why anyone would do it. I don't think anyone has mentioned what I consider to be the major issue with going to BOM only, especially early: people had a lot of applier tattoos, skin effects, underwear, etc., many of which were unavailable as BOM, and, even if they were, people don't like having the buy the same thing twice.

Nope. You have given me an idea for a feature request: Allow replace links to affect only selected folders, if some are selected. Another way to put a link into multiple outfits is to copy the link (Not the target), select the folders you want to put it into, and hit Ctrl-V (Do not try to paste with the mouse).

I use the breast deformer that is built into the The V Bento HUD, and I like it a lot.

Why isn't this stuff publicized more? After I saw this, I went to Mosh and wandered around. I found not only the monorail stop but also the pod station nearby. I had no idea that there was a pod station. I thought I just had to see one going by and catch it. Once my BF and I spent considerable time trying to find one to catch. We finally just gave up. IMHO, there is so much that is wasted in SL because people who would enjoy it don't know about it.
