  1. It depends on the prices and on what colors are included in the mini-fatpacks.
  2. It's way different from SL. They had to submit plans, get a building permit, and comply with building codes and zoning regulations.
  3. Check this out: Second Life Marketplace - [Raven] Deformer Suite
  4. Wrong. When you buy the card, you have to give NO information. You may choose to give information later online, in which case you can give fictitious information. I have used prepaid debit cards that had no connection to a bank account to pay LL at least twice.
  5. No. Answering from the US. I have at times used prepaid debit cards to pay LL. They worked perfectly well. A kid can buy one for cash.
  6. That's not a very practical solution for things like earrings and glasses, of which one usually has many different ones that are mixed and matched in different outfits.
  7. There is one case in which those TOSs clearly are invalid: when they are not made available to the buyer until after the sale.
  8. Mostly, 38 is enough, but occasionally it isn't, usually when, in addition to all of the usual things, I am wearing multiple items that have texture-change HUDs. I don't need to wear those HUDs continuously, but I do need them when I first don the outfit, and I know of no other way to attach them conveniently than to include them in the outfit.
  9. Here's my solution: Second Life Marketplace - Mormon Underwear
  10. It was released as a beta version with a long list of features that were to be added, but there have been no updates since I bought it in May 2021. Draw your own conclusions.
  11. Which is pretty bad. Maitreya gave us LaraX as a free update. My favorite clothing creators are giving LaraX versions as free updates. But Sessions/ASA won't do that. I have been a very satisfied wearer of The V Bento, but you can bet I'll be giving Sensations a look.
  12. I would love it. I hope our avatars keep getting better. As others have said, they have improved very much from what they years ago. I hope and expect that improvement will continue.
  13. After thinking about this, I wonder if a contract entered into by avatars within SL might be enforceable in court. If negotiated in IMs, there would be a written record which is maintained by LL for some time. IANAL, but I wouldn't think that the parties using aliases would invalidate the contract. Couldn't an injured party file suit against "John Doe" pending identification of the defendant, subpoena identification and contact information as well as IM logs from LL/Tilia, serve the defendant, and proceed with the suit? I also had the thought that we need access to some kind of escrow system in SL, letting either LL-vetted-and-licensed users serve as escrow agants or LL itself providing the service.
  14. If your body has applier tattoo layers, you can apply to tattoo to a layer and hide one of the layer's arms.
  15. I would appreciate someone giving me a little more education about rigged mesh. Until this discussion, I thought I understood mesh clothing well, but it's clear that I don't. I did some testing with old standard-sized rigged mesh clothing. I did not test exhaustively but tested several selected shape sliders. It responded to the height, body thickness, shoulders, arm length, and torso length sliders, but did not respond to the body fat, torso muscles, breast size, love handles, or belly size sliders. A newer rigged mesh clothing item responded to all of these sliders. I understand that the newer item was rigged for my specific (Lara) mesh body, but that doesn't seem relevant to which shape sliders it would respond to. I didn't try it, but I'm pretty sure that if I had tried it with a mesh garment rigged for some other body, it would have fit poorly but still responded to the shape sliders. Are there just two kinds of rigged mesh attachments? Does one kind always respond to the same sunset of shape sliders and the other respond to a larger subset that is always the same or can there be many variations in what subset of shape sliders they respond to?
  16. OK. Thanks for educating me. Thanks to all who suggested places to look.
  17. I understand fitmesh to mean "rigged mesh that responds to shape sliders," and I understand rigged mesh to mean rigged mesh that does not respond to shape sliders. Is that incorrect?
  18. I want the HUD or other container because I like to keep backups, and that makes it convenient. I also like the convenience of not having to use a HUD or open a box to access my purchase. Therefore, my preference is to receive a folder containing my unpacked purchase and a box or HUD containing all the items. Often, if I don't receive a HUD or box, I'll box up a copy myself for a backup; that is obviously extra effort that I would prefer to avoid.
  19. I hope this is the right place to post this. Why aren't there more of them for sale? When fitmesh was released, I expected that there would be a lot of fitmesh necklaces because necklaces almost never fit well. I have found very few? Why? Am I the only person bothered by poorly-fitting necklaces?
  20. I don't demand anything of any other landowner. However, I am free to draw appropriate conclusions from their behavior. Nice people willingly share and accommodate other people's needs and wants. Jerks don't just because they can get away with it. No one can know what's in another's mind, but I suspect that the usual reason is that it makes them feel powerful and consequential. My land is open to everyone, with two exceptions: those who have earned bans by behaving offensively (After 14 years, there are only about 100 on the ban list.), and neighbors who have put up ban lines.
  21. I have been wondering since 2007 why SL is designed to let people cam through solid walls. Not that it really matters because there are no people inside, only avatars, which are fictional just as Facebook said when they closed my account years ago.
