  1. a small part of my line already made the transition to mesh, and I can't wait to give my customers access to those instruments (in fact, they are already buying it...) I've set up a little Mesh dept. in my main store. I thought it would be nice, if other merchants that already offers mesh items would display 1 or 2 of their models at my store, along with a LM-giver, and would allow me to do the same at their place, so we could install a little ring, to give customers the opportunity to see different mesh goods, without messing around with search... anybody?
  2. I wanted to use it to route musical previews of my instruments to avatars that are interested in particular instruments in my store. It would be perfect for that purpose, if it only worked... edit: typo
  3. that would be a correct syntax, no? default{ state_entry() { llSay(0, "Yawn, script is finally compiled..."); } touch_start(integer total_number) { llParcelMediaCommandList([PARCEL_MEDIA_COMMAND_AGENT,llDetectedKey(0),PARCEL_MEDIA_COMMAND_URL,"http://sl.magnatune.com/Medieval",PARCEL_MEDIA_COMMAND_PLAY] ); }} it won't work for me. It's in an object I own, on a parcel I own... edit: and the Music-URL line in about land is empty, of course
  4. yes, you can duplicate your mesh models you can resize them, and be aware that it can change the PE dramatically and you can link them to regular prims and sculpts, and that can cause unexpected changes of primcount, too
  5. thanks! it looks like that is exactly what I need NOW ;-)
  6. I accidentially stumbled over this post and you made me very curious. Can you give me a hint where to find out more about targeting a stream to an avatar?
  7. in other company they have COMPUTERS for such work. did LL ever consider buying one or two computers?
  8. hehe, it morphed to SH-2297
  9. oh, and you still remember the Hurdy Gurdy ;-) anyone knows the old song by Donovan (Hurdy Gurdy Man)?
  10. thanks, I really had doubts about my mental health ;-)
  11. I filed a JIRA this morning (GMT) about mesh not working properly with MOAP (CTS-770), but it seemed to be disappeared, lot's of JIRAs, but no 770, not a little note about what happened. Voodoo? Can somebody confirm that I'm still ok, or went gaga?
  12. I'm on a 27" iMac (3,4 GHz i7) for 3 weeks now, and it's great. Viewer 2 is a different thing on a big screen (I worked on a15" MBP before) though, I have to say it's even better (atm?) when I run the viewer on windows/bootcamp
  13. You have to set the scale (dimension) in the upload floater to 1. It's 0 by default and results in a tinytinytiny object. I believe your object rezzed, it's just VERY small
  14. Oh, something new to learn. I wasn't even aware that there are functions in LSL to manipulate positions of attach points
  15. I know, I already finished some mesh musical instruments, they behave like prim or sculpty attachements. It would be nice, if rigged attachement could be attached to both hands, or to chest AND left hand. That would be great for things like weapons or music instruments. Would that require an extra bone, or is it possible now?

Drongle McMahon wrote: ... was thinking of rigged attachmenhts for LOD distance. :matte-motes-agape: I didn't mess around with rigging so far, so I have no idea, what rigging in case of an attachment means, but: would the attachment still be editable/adjustable for the customer, when he/she wears it?
  17. 2 PE? and the cream is full fat? you may transfer that too RL...
  18. Yes, sometimes it takes REALLY long for that menu point to show up.
  19. Did you set the scale in the upload floater? It's set to 0 bei default, and as a result your model can be too tiny to see
  20. faces in blender have just one side. in blender 2.5 you can solidify faces, means, it adds another face that showas in the opposite direction and you get kind of a simple wall. In Edit mode you go to "mesh" -> faces -> solidify
  21. did you join the parts in blender before uploading? If not, I'm suspecting that the physics model will only fit one part of the linked set, I had this too. I wonder if it takes an independent physics model for each linked part
