  1. the streaming costs went up, and the PE got even higher, some objects almost doubled their PE (from 7 to 12, and no, I didn't add scripts...)
  2. yes, Project Viewer - Mesh 234821
  3. your mesh sink went up to 10 now...
  4. PE went drastically up again, some models show doubled PE now :-( it's no fun anymore, I think I have a fine BBQ now, with a cold beer...
  5. It finally works for me, I selected a different sandbox...
  6. I don't think it has something to do with your windows installation. I can't log in to mesh beta grid for several hours now, and I'm on mac. Anybody else?
  7. I'm just waiting for the option "export selected only"
  8. i build the lod meshes and the physics on different layers and in the end delete everything except the one I want to export, then reload the scene and start the procedure for the next lod. Not very handy...
  9. I've seen this, too. One possible reason for that behaviour was, I didn't applied rotation to my model (in Blender), or the physics model. After doing this, the physics and the model matched fine. In other cases, the physics looked too small in the preview, but I found out, that it finally matched the uploaded model fine. I proofed this by trying out, since I still can't see the physics, that screen is still black for me :-(
  10. thanks for your effort and your time, Gaia! My scene with the lamps rendered fine, it just didn't bake to a texture. In the meanwhile I found out, that baking lamps/shadows AND AO won't work (it may not make any sense at all...) Having AO unchecked helped.
  11. I don't want anybody to do a search for me. But none of the sources I found gives an explanation why baking works for AO, but not for the lamps and shadows. But at least there's a little chance that somebody here says something like "it's not possible at all" or "it's possible, but..." Excuse me for bothering you.
  12. but that won't bake the lights from the lamps nor the shadows, just AO and environment light...
  13. I'm somehow familiar with baking AO now, but really would like to bake the light of the lamps and the shadows they are casting to my textures (Blender 2.5). I can't figure out how to do that, is it possible at all?

  15. Same here. Crash when I check the upload textures box. I'm on darwin too, maybe it's a mac special... Oh, and then there's that frequent freeze when the file selection dialogue during upload appears, does this happen to anybody else?
  16. Drongle McMahon wrote: do we need serious weapons? I'll bring a soprano saxophone. And don't say I didn't warn everybody...
  17. it works when I distribute the reduction more or less equal to the submeshes, which is not always a good solution. Runitai thinks it's a bug
  18. apparently there's a workaround for that problem with rendering physic shapes, but it requires to enable shadows. So, no shadows, no physic shape...
  19. I visited the NVidia site, there's no update for the 9600M GT and usually Apple delivers updates for hardware components with systemupdates. but anyway, I could see physic shapes in earlier versions of the beta viewer, why do I need to enable shadows all of the sudden. I suspect it being kind of a bug, I filed a jira. And thanks for your effort!
  20. I'm on OSX 10.6.7, and the system profiler shows that it's running with the GeForce Card. btw, the temperature proofs that...
  21. Hopefully somebody can help me with that: I'm trying to upload a model with 17968 tri and 13292 verts. The auto generated medium LOD counts 5988 tris and 5700 verts. I made a medium LOD with 2762 tris and 4853 verts, less than the auto generated LOD, but the uploader says "Level of details has too many vertices" What am I doing wrong? edited to keep it clean...
  22. Now I managed to get shadows rendered, at least for a moment, but the viewer crashed after a few seconds. And about 50% of all textures were plain black. Not very encouraging...
  23. I've had the crashes now with 323004, and I couldn't get shadow quite a while ago, I can't recall which viewer version I used, but I gave it up then.
  24. thanks, I will try it again when I return home. Shadows would be nice...
