  1. Why would you think that anyone cares?
  2. This would be the first thing to try, a clean install: https://community.secondlife.com/t5/English-Knowledge-Base/How-to-uninstall-and-reinstall-Second-Life/ta-p/1375231 If you still can't log in after the clean install you should be getting some kind of error message. Post that here.
  3. Hit Ctrl + Alt + T to turn on view transparent and see if you can see them.
  4. If you want a butt implant, which is a bit 2014 btw, but anyway, try searching in world instead of the MP.
  5. Qavimator saves bvh files. So, then you go to upload animation and you see either a preview in a box or your avi does a preview of the animation (depending on your viewer). Do you see the preview? Obviously you would turn off your AO and be standing, not animated by anything else if your viewer runs the preview on your avi.
  6. What errors do you keep getting when you go to the market place web site and search for products that you are interested in buying?
  7. I think that you may be drawing a little fire here because you are sitting there with the laptop on your lap and asking the forum how it is going to perform. Go ahead and try it out. I would suggest that you try with the Alchemy viewer, it runs a bit lighter than the others. It will automatically set your graphics settings so best not to fiddle with it. Then report back and let us know how you got on.
  8. What Alwin said but also, if you pick the same style of house that you like in Ronk you are going to get one in the same type of area even if it isn't that exact sim. So if that is what you are looking for then you shouldn't have a problem
  9. I sometimes use NOT which seems to work as in "NOT demo".
  10. Although "NON PAGED AREA" is indeed a reference to RAM memory you can also get this message caused by a hard disk error, so, if you moved the hard disk over from the old machine and you didn't move the memory sticks over then this is the most likely culprit. You may be able to run chkdsk to fix it. Look up chkdsk in Help and Support to see how to run it to fix file system errors. You will probably have to reboot to run it and it may take some time. If this does turn out to be the problem and chkdsk fixes it then start backing up your important data files and plan to get a new hard drive because it is an indicator that the disk may fail.
  11. Try the Alchemy Viewer. It is more like the official viewer than Firestorm but without the horrible "childrens lego" style that the Lab seem to think is a friendlier look (no sharp edges). The camera control still doesn't resize but it is much more compact.
  12. The best thing is to make your own. Here is one of many tutorials on youtube https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DNsuzSxf5qE. When you have finished name your setting with a name that you will be able to find easily. then find the file in your viewer AppData folder and save it somewhere so that you can copy it back if you loose it in a viewer update. Windlight files are stored in a folder like: C:\Users\yourUserName\AppData\Roaming\viewerName\user_settings\windlight\skies on Windows.
  13. The reason why you are an orange ball are usually that your inventory hasn't downloaded to your viewer or because you inventory cache is messed up. Causes can be, you have a slow connection, you didn't do a clean install of your viewer, your inventory has folders that have thousands of items in them. Try working through this list: http://wiki.phoenixviewer.com/fs_bake_fail
  14. First off Linden Lab employees do not read the Answer forum it is resident to resident help. Secondly Linden Lab isn't your mummy. And, If you think about it, that is a good thing. The way to handle griefing and such is 1. Don't interact with the person in any way. 2 Block them. https://community.secondlife.com/t5/English-Knowledge-Base/Blocking/ta-p/700121
  15. Usually "unable to connect to the simulator" means that the sim is down, i.e. the server computer that is running the simulator software for the region that you are trying to log into is not connected, turned off, re-booting etc. It is quite common as the server software is updated most weeks. Information about maintenance is posted here: http://status.secondlifegrid.net. Usually they go down for about half an hour, but if they need to fiddle around with them it can be an hour or more. If you manage to log onto some other sim that is not being updated and open the world map you may see that there are squares on the map that are a sort of dirty red colour. Those are sims that are down
  16. You have to open a ticket. You will probably be asked some security questions so that they can confirm that you are who you say you are. Then they will either just let you log into your account or get you to create a new password.
  17. If you are seeing demo's on the market place for 1L it is probably so that you can send it to a friend, You can't buy 0L items for a friend on the market place, it isn't that the seller wants your 1L.
  18. When you start the installation process what message to you get?
  19. When you share an item your friend gets a copy. So, if you delete your copy your friend stil has their copy.
  20. Go to Firestorm Preferences/ Network & Files and select Clear Inventory Cache. Then relog. Give the system some time to re-create the cache and then try again.
  21. Sounds like it could be that problem where you have an inventory that has thousands of items in a single folder. If that sounds like it could be the case support have a fix for it which creates folders and dumps your stuff in them so that you don't have so many items in a single folder which causes some kind of database hicup that prevents you inventory from loading.
  22. Try using Alchemy viewer, it is a little lighter and snappier than most viewers especially Firestorm (which I love but does use more resources). Draw distance down low, like 32m. Particles off. Good luck with the new comp.
  23. So what did you do after Googling "driver_irql_not_less_or_equal netio. sys"?
  24. I'm so happy I am not burdened with a mesh body and never have attachments fall off when I TP or cross sim boarders, well, sometimes my hat arrives a couple of seconds after I do, but I can live with that.
