You could maybe ask at Lab Chat, see this blog: https://community.secondlife.com/t5/Featured-News/Introducing-Lab-Chat-A-New-Q-amp-A-Show-in-Second-Life/ba-p/2978005

)I would set the graphics level to High and just accept the defaults for that level. You can change the draw distance using quick preferences. If you are inside in a club or shop or your own house there is no point in having the draw distance set much above 64 M. If you want to go outside and admire the landscape you can whack it up to say 500 which will hit the fps but you can adjust as needed. I agree with sven about the bandwidth. I set mine at 800 and that's fine but if you want to check it open up the statistics bar (Shift + Ctrl + 1) and look at the second graph down UDP Data Received. Mine runs along under 100 kb/s most of the time with occasional peaks up to 1000,so 800 bandwidth is plenty (the fact that it can jump up to 1000 suggests that the bandwidth setting is soft anyway. I usually turn off object Occlusion to fix the bug with flickering sea (in the Menu: Developer > Rendering > Object-Object Occlusion)

It says in the MP blurb that you have to attach it. Did you try that?

Login failed the last 4 days and i dont know why ?
Ohjiro Watanabe replied to BigPegasus's question in Account
The clue to loggin problems is the message that you get. It might not mean much to you but may to someone here so edit your post to add the exact message you get when you try to log in. A couple of things you can try, use a cable to connect to your Internet instead of wireless, log into a different location. -
In the advanced menu select debug settings and type in fullscreen to bring up that setting and select true, requires a restart to be effective. If the advanced menu isn't showing Ctrl + Alt + D to display it. From the menu Me/Preferences/Advanced there is a UI size slider. May have side effects. Just remember 1 is the default so you can go back to it. Also in Preferences under Sound & Media, fiddle around with the settings there.

Look in Task Manager and see what process is using up the CPU. If it is your anti virus exclude the SL floders, most important is the SL cache folder

I cannot log in. I was just on yesterday. 2015 I cleared cache yesterday.
Ohjiro Watanabe replied to Ilya Kaul's question in Technical
When login fails there is usually a message, It may not mean anything to you but it will to someone reading your post. There is some maintenance going on at the moment so it is possible that the sim that you were trying to log into was being updated or rebooting. Try again or try logging into another sim. -
Looks like a black cat at night.

I don't know what English_EU is as different from English_GB but anyway. I downloaded English_CA from the link on the wiki page and I couldn't get it to import either in Firestorm or the LL viewer. Although it did copy the .dic file to the appropriate folder under my roaming profile. Looks like the dictionary.xml file isn't getting updated but there may be more to it than that.

Probably something wrong with your Internet settings. Try going to Control Panel/Internet Options. Click on the Connections tab and then on LAN settings. There are 3 tick boxes. By default they would all be un checked. If any are checked try unchecking it. You may need to reboot for the change to take effect.

how do tint the slink ankle blenders on a regular avatar?
Ohjiro Watanabe replied to Anya Udimo's question in Avatar
Unless they have changed it you use the Slink OmniHud. Click on Start Here and follow the instructions. There is also a Video Tutorial and Blog links on the hud. You don't need an applier. http://slinkstyle.com/omnihud-v5/ You have a choice of yellow tone or red tone. If you pick the wrong one the final step won't work. -
I added media to a prim by mistake...
Ohjiro Watanabe replied to Christina1001488313053's question in Technical
That is a tricky thing to do by accident. Normal way would be to edit the prim, go to the Texture tab, Select a Face, which is one of the options at the top of the build box then click on the drop down that says Materials and change it to Media and then click on Choose and type in a URL. Or you might have accidentally opened About Land and dropped the same texture as is in your shadow prim into the texture box. -
You have to start up mowes.exe before you run opensim.exe. If you have a 64 bit Windows try running OpenSim.32BitLaunch.exe instead of OpenSim.exe. Works fine on my Windows 8.1 There is an OpenSim group where you may get help if this doesn't work but don't just post that you have red writing. Post the error message. I don't recommend using bare bones OpenSim it is quite complex to set up. Sim on a stick comes with the database and web interface all ready to go.

Why I can't choose my Linden Home place?
Ohjiro Watanabe replied to yugi Brandenburg's topic in General Discussion
Everyone would chose places by the open land or water. You can change your home five times a day so you have some chance of getting a better location if you are persistant. -
Textures not applying properly
Ohjiro Watanabe replied to yunghunxue's topic in General Discussion Forum
Are you sure that you are adding the texture in the right place? right click on the tail, select Edit, click on the Texture tab and drag your texture onto the texture box. Gestures need to be active to use in chat. Open the Gesture from your inventory. The text in the Trigger box is what you have to type in Chat. Starting with a /. Click the Active check box at the bottom. You can also assign short cut keys. Once active the gesture will appear in the Gesture floater (Ctrl + G). -
Try going to a nice quiet sim which allows scripting (such as Ordino) and take the avi and hud off and put it back on again.

Where are the Linden Homes if I upgrade to Premium?
Ohjiro Watanabe replied to zantsuken's question in Land
All payments are covered by the membership fee. Linden homes are located in groups of sims that are not part of the mainland which includes some open land and some water and some space between the houses so that they are not crammed to close together. As a premium member you can buy a 512 plot as an alternative to a linden home. The advantage of a Linden home is that the building itself doesn't count against your prim count so you effectively get some free prims. You can abandon you Linden home and either get another one or take the mainland option if you decide that it would be better for you. You can use multiple words in the name, not sure what length restrictions are or if you can change it, you can change the home and get a new one with a new name.
