My experience of it is completely different. Relaxation massage feels very good and I actually kind of feel floaty in a lovely way, not at all ‘dissociative’, more like ‘elevated’. Therapeutic massage is more clinical and push/pull, and really I need to stay aware and work with the MT. So for me, massage doesn’t feel intimate and if it in fact did arouse me, I probably wouldn’t like it much because it would feel very awkward, neither relaxing (because sexual tension), nor good therapy (since distracted from the objective).

My take on it is like a sort of SL ‘gals night out’ activity that isn’t clubbing/dancing or going for coffee/cafe sitting? I think it sounds fun. edit: I can see the vibe changing if it’s co-ed, seems like it’s supposed to be about ‘gal talk’ which is inclusive because anyone in SL can literally ‘be a gal’ if they want. So all gals welcome? Maybe I’m mistaken.

I like the flower metaphor better for my work...hard pruning so that more and stronger beauty can come forth. Disbudding many side buds so I have fewer but more amazing camellias or long-stem single roses. 🌹

Caveat: therapeutic deep massage and Chinese massage can leave me quite sore if I don’t work my way up to longer sessions more slowly. It has been several months since I’ve had a massage, and for Chinese style, I’ll start with a 15-min chair style and 15-min foot reflexology when I start again. For full body, I do strip completely nude because I don’t want oil on my things, but the MT’s have always draped me really well, I’ve never felt uncomfy or exposed. I do tell them that I get cold easy though. 🥶

That might even be part of my chosen identity preference for 2020! there is a sento and a beauty salon in one of the Japanese sims I have visited, but I think it’s mostly used by the Maiko and Geiko who live there. There’s no staff.

Omg, this is funny, though I know it’s not really meant to be. I never thought about it before but when I did, it’s inconceivable...which made me smile about how much ‘she’ is ‘me’, like looking in a mirror. My avatar catches my eye often enough in photos...I don’t usually freeze things or turn off the AO for photos at all...so she -has- just turned and looked at me, quite often.

I believe this as someone who successfully writes and makes art. I start raw, unfettered and unfiltered and in the grip of flow. But only in the crucible of editing does the slag of conditioning get scaled away and only with a lot of refining and burnishing does the truth and ultimately the refined clarity of the ‘thing’ get revealed. That’s my experience. I love my editors, my haiku mentor was brutal and fierce, and under his tutelage to ‘edit without mercy’, my poems got good...and in art, my teachers and mentors have helped me learn to refine so much that I can’t even begin to say all of the ways. It’s like they practically gave me new eyes.

Just the West Wing apartment on one region. The Palace estate and grounds covers 12 regions 😉 it belongs to Kaya Angel, the Grand Duke. We are a “modern royalty” RP ‘fam’. That’s the estate theme. But yes, that is the landing inside my own apartment just above the foyer.

You might be going to the wrong salons/spas then. Even my nail salon serves wine. And all they do is mani-pedi, brow wax and chair massage. Full spa should -always- have lovely snacks and drinks!

Granted! You return to sleep, and it’s a fabulous sleep...but you then oversleep and most of the day is wasted. I wish my inventory organizing was going a little faster.

Cleaning up my scattered prims and adjusting a few things before we have SL guests today. We are one stop on a ‘venue hop’ style party. Having company makes me look around with fresh eyes. Also, the ‘larger than life’ SL thing. I’m wearing a ‘realistic human height‘ shape (170cm), I haven’t changed into the one I usually wear for events here at the palace yet. 👸🏼🤴🏼
