It was in an email from Whitney Linden to me.

Premium gives 5 choices of home a day. Don’t like the home allocated, then abandon and try another and it is all immediate. Premium Plus gives the chance to have the house you want, but it is not immediate, as the time it all takes, because a ticket has to be filed with Support, means it is hit and miss. You may or may not get the house you want and while moving in, if you think you made a mistake, then you have to start all over again. Also, Support notified me, that the maximum number of home requests in a 30 day period, is 3. I don’t remember seeing that in the T&Cs. When it comes to Linden Homes, the Plus part of Premium Plus, just doesn’t get a good rating over Premium, for me.

One nice to have thing, would be TP links to the various different house design areas, so we could go and look at them, in theme, in world. At first, I did not consider the log homes as a possibility, but then, when I went to look at a log home area, I was amazed by the beauty of the theme. It is just guess work to find the themes on the in world map and is about wildly clicking what looks like different themes.

I put in a ticket requesting an abandoned log home. It was in such a beautiful location, with so few available in mountains next to water and everything around was already taken, so thought it worth a try. It took a few days, as there was a query that needed resolving first, but I got it! Nothing ventured, nothing gained.

Kind of reassuring to know that the reason it is taking so long to allocate requested homes, is because they are so busy processing requests. One of the problems with the time being taken, is that at the moment when the request is processed, the place selected may have already been allocated in the automated system that is available to Premium members. That means the Support Desk has to deal with the request more than once, as the Premium Plus member will have to find another place and follow that up with Support, which adds to their work. Not sure how difficult and if it is possible, to change the software and to automate this through the account dashboard, sooner rather than later?

My experience is, that even if you request a downgrade from Premium, the stipend continues to be paid until the expiry of the period for which you paid Premium for. The Linden Home does need to be abandoned when requesting a downgrade. If you want to cancel the downgrade, there is the magic button to cancel downgrade, as Marisa has pointed out.

I read that the support for Premium Plus was open every day. I am not sure if that is just for problems, or also for delivering requested homes and name changes? Possibly it is only live chat and they do not do any processing? Premium, Premium Plus and Concierge accounts are also eligible to use live chat support during our operating hours of 9am-5pm Eastern (6am-2pm Pacific) every day.

As they were doing rolling restarts, it could just be the region you were trying to log in to, was down. In the drop down box, change the place where you are trying to log in to. The region called Furball, is always a good try.

That movement, particularly with body parts, happens occasionally, if I crash trying a TP. It is that thing where a TP fails and then a crash happens. When I relog, I am back to where I originally was, when I logged in previously and not where I was when I had the TP crash. I notice too that my alpha layers are back to what I was previously wearing and not what I am currently wearing, so I have to sort that and check if anything has been refiled in my inventory. It is as if I was never properly logged in world, in the previous session, if that makes sense. I will add that the movement of body parts does not always happen, but I am now used to checking that.

Don't you also have to allow rezzing in the group ability settings under the various membership roles. So if the everyone role is given out, then the ability, under Parcel Powers, needs to be checked for, always allow create objects?
